• Katharina (9/5): - Das Zimmer ist schön und sehr sauber. Im Badezimmer hat man auch Shampoo und Duschgel zur Verfügung. Es gibt jeden Tag einen Zimmerservice. Das Frühstück ist nicht inkludiert, kann man aber jeden Tag dazu nehmen (keine Empfehlung, eher klein, gibt fast um das gleiche Geld ein besseres Frühstück). Die Lage ist sehr zentral, man kann fußläufig zum Pier gehen. Ebenso gibt es kleine Supermärkte und viele Bars. Der Balkon ist toll! Das Personal bei der Rezeption ist eher unfreundlich und spricht sehr unverständlich, sodass man unabhängig ob man Spanisch spricht, sich kaum verständigen kann. Es fehlt eine Anleitung für den Safe.

• Ashleigh (8/5): Perfect location, refillable water station, wonderful staff! - Staff were all helpful, the location is so close to the water it’s perfect, the room was quiet, the beds were comfy enough & the bathroom was spacious compared to other hotels in South America within this price range. There is a refillable water area which was a life saver too not having to buy 100 water bottles. When we originally arrived there were some leftover food in the fridge & rubbish in the bathroom from previous guests - we let the staff know & they cleaned it immediately. No other issues.

• Lucy (1/5): A perfectly decent hotel ruined by inconsiderate staff. - The location is great, it was very clean. The most inconsiderate guests in this hotel are the staff who run it. They not only put me in a hideous cell like room with one high up window for two days of my stay when I’d booked a balcony room, but when they finally moved me to it on the third day they were three hours late getting it ready for me. The woman who finally let me in made a big song and dance if me now having a room with a balcony, as though I had been some sort of unreasonable diva 😆 On the days when I didn’t have the balcony I paid for I thought I’d use the roof terrace in the listing… but the cleaning staff were using it to dry all the hotels bedsheets?! They were dumped on the loungers and hung up throughout the space. The awful room they put me in at first is directly off of the hotel kitchen, a ridiculous place to let any rooms, where staff were insanely loud from 6am. The WiFi didn’t work for one moment in my entire stay. Just appalling service. The hotel and rooms and location themselves are fine, the problem is how it’s run.

Cerca a varios restaurantes, al puerto y a todo lugar para movilizarse en Puerto Ayora. El cuarto tenía todas las facilidades, muy aseado, cómodo y con un check-in/out, muy práctico. Incluye agua purificada para que rellenes en tus botes propios. No hubo algo de lo que pudiera quejarme.

• Lauren (6/5): Very Loud! - We were only staying here one night and it is very close to the pier so perfect location for that, there's also a lovely coffee shop round the corner at decent prices. Be aware that there are lots of steps leading up to the property so if mobility is an issue I wouldn't choose here. Generally the room is basic and they'd only set it up for one person before our arrival. Nice little balcony but looks out onto the road. We loved the addition of the fridge as when we stayed it was really quite hot outside. The aircon also works and the WiFi is quite good. You can hear absolutely everything. I'm not sure it helped being placed in room 2 very near to reception and someone was playing music late at night. It's quite a busy street with and near to the pubs and you can hear everything going on outside even with the doors to the balcony shut. The pillow cases were not clean and the bathroom needs a revamp as there are cracks in the ceiling.

• Suzy (5/5): É preciso pedir um quarto nos fundos. - O hotel é muito bem localizado e a equipe é solícita. Era nosso último dia de viagem e deixaram guardarmos as malas após o check out. É bem bonitinho e com mais de uma área comum para passar o tempo. O quarto que nos colocaram era de frente para a rua, na área de maior movimento, e MUITO barulhento. Realmente impossível dormir, parecia que os carros estavam dentro do quarto. Pedimos se havia possibilidade de trocarmos e nos colocaram em outro quarto, maior e silencioso, o que foi ótimo. Mas se não houvesse quarto disponível não teríamos conseguido dormir. Não tem tomada adaptada para o Brasil (assim como em todo o país).

• Melissa (6/5): Budget hotel (not a hostel) in good location - The rooms were clean and location was great. Lots of restaurants and convenience stores nearby. Staff were mostly lovely. Beds were comfortable. It was quite noisy from the road, reception area and people using the space above the rooms. The kitchen area is not for guests use (although the door is always open) and there are very limited facilities for making coffee or any food. Pillows could be better.

• Emma (8/5): - The rooms are exceptionally clean. The staff were friendly (no English but they helped with any questions) The room was comfortable and the AC worked very well. I was very happy for the cost of the stay and the location is perfect. The rooms are not soundproof, you can hear the street noise and If your room backs onto the kitchen area you will hear sounds in the evening and morning when breakfast is prepared. This didn't bother me as I was leaving early for scuba diving but something to consider. The photos aren't completely accurate as others have mentioned, my room didn't have a fridge but my friends did.

Little roof top view is. Has a nice seating area by reception. No issues with wifi Not all rooms looked like the photos, the photos are from original posting and have been changed to not have a chair in room or to add an extra bed. If you book double room one doesnt have patio but all others do, you dont know until you arrive (it was claustrophobic harry potter closet but they changed me next day). Breakfast should be included for price.

• Lindsay (8/5): Your experience will depend on your room - The good: Its clean, free water with hot water dispenser on first floor. Staff is very helpful & accommodating, and thats why i rated it as high as i did. The girls work very hard all day. Showers have hot water. You can pay with card no extra cost. Has safety deposit box. Its about 2 blocks either way from promonade. Wifi is good. The bad: not all rooms look like photos. But the common areas do look like photos. Its next to road so could hear everything. Not all double bed rooms have balconys (as booking pictures suggest). my Room didn’t have seating area as in photo or a desk, no where to sit, write or read in room except in bed. I would have rated it 9/10 if room was set up like photos. If breakfast was included i would also rate it higher as others in same price range offer free breakfast.

The staff is very welcoming, especially Maily at the front desk, who was particularly helpful. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, just perfect for a pleasant stay.

• Kimmywanders (6/5): Great Location, Poor Lodging - Great location in Puerto Ayora with many restaurants, bars, and stores within easy walking distance. The port/pier is also very close. I booked 2 nights and changed rooms after the first because it wasn't the room I had reserved and paid. Both rooms were very spacious, second room had refrigerator and small balcony. There was free filtered water at check in area. This place is like several in the port that don't really live up to expectation. There are not room views and the rooms themselves are worn, tired, and shabby. There is a lot of noise. There is only a thin sheet on the mattress, no mattress cover. I can only imagine with people sweating, etc how bad the mattress actually is. I switched rooms after first night because it wasn't what I paid for/reserved. The lodging is overpriced in general for what it offers and is not a good value for the money.

• J (8/5): Very good - We loved Santa cruz. The hostel is located at a very central place, you will easily walk around. Bright room, bed is good and you can sit on the small balcony or on the rooftop. There is free drinkingwater, hot water, wifi, friendly (although only spanish speaking) staff. It is in the centre, quiet area but there still is some traffic noice from the street (also in the side street). The restaurant around the corner had very loud music on a Tuesday night. The laundery dries on several places at the rooftop, which is not very inviting place to sit. With 3 beds in the room and a refrigerater (right next to the bed, not so comfy place) its full. Price-quality ratio: it felt overpriced compared with other places.

• Verified traveler (2/5): Extremely poor experience - Immediately upon arriving, we were told there was no reservation under our name. After showing our printed reservation paid in full, the front desk staff appeared confused and had another employee come over. After 5-10 minutes of confusion, the hotel claimed they had overbooked themselves (despite the hotel appearing empty, with all of the rooms we could see having the door open). We were then told we would be brought to a different hotel. The hotel we were taken to was clearly lower in quality than what we had paid for in our original room. After travelling for nearly 20 hours to get to the island, we went into our new room at the other hotel. The hotel we were at was under construction (which caused us to be woken up as early as 6AM every single day to the sound of drills), as well as partying directly outside of our room in a small courtyard, so some nights it was 2:30AM+ before the noise stopped. The room was very small, with an uncomfortable bed and nearly no room for luggage. The wifi was extremely low quality; we often had no ability to use our phones inside of the room. Overall, this was a very poor experience.

The rooms were nice and beds were comfy, the little outdoor patio was nice. The rooms were cleaned most days which was great and the bathroom was big, tidy and had good shower pressure. The only downside to this place is how loud the street is, all day everyday. I would maybe request a room off the road if you arent a deep sleeper. Besides that, it was great value for money!

Leftovers etc. because its in General very expensive there ) -very clean -comfy bed -felt very safe -great balue ffor money -no bugs -perfect location, just by ferry port and main street but not a “first row” so also quiet -very nice ( but not english speaking ) Staff Its not a 5star resort obviously but its really all N you need there. I was Disappointed by a rooftop Tarace, not very nice but good enough for a smoke Would be great if more staff members could speak english

• Jacques (7/5): Nice hotel in a convenient location - The staff at Costa del Pacífico is very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast on the rooftop terrace is great! The hotel is conveniently located in town, not far from the ferry terminal, restaurants, and other attractions. It's a good price for what you get. The rooms are a bit cramped.
• Ana I (10/5): - No funcionaba el aire acondicionado en la habitacion que nos dieron, pero la adm. nos cambio de habitacion a una mejor inmediatamente. Todo estuvo muy bien! La duena super amable! Nos ayudaron con tours e informacion. El unico problema que tuvimos solo una noche, fue que afuera a las 3 am habia una chica borracha que empezo a hablar fuerte y nos desperto. Pero luego se fue. Lo demas estuvo perfecto ! Esta cerca de todo, la zona es segura, nos guiaron y nos aconsejaron, y fueron muy amables.

It's very close to everything, which is good when you like to walk, but it was bad to hear people screaming and partying at night, when you only want to sleep. Curtains in the bedroom and bathroom are in bad condition.

• Prabath (10/5): Convenient, clean & friendly hotel - We had to stay one night in Isla Santa Cruz when we were travelling from Isla Isabela to Isla San Cristobal, and chose Hostal Costa del Pacifico. I'm really glad we did so. Not only was it was very conveniently located just a couple of blocks from the main pier and right downtown, the rooms were clean and spacious and the staff were very friendly. If we had more time in Isla Santa Cruz I'd definitely have picked this hotel.
• Verified traveler (4/5): Charged extra upon arrival :( - The hostal is a solid 2-3 blocks from the malecon so location is nice, but the hostal from the outside looks like an old second floor apartment complex. WiFi was available but did NOT work. The rooms were clean. I booked 1 double bed in a private room/ private bath for the price of $48 and some change. When I got there, the only available room was a double room, meaning 1 double bed and 1 twin bed (bigger room) so they asked me to pay $22 more. I requested to cancel and refund my reservation but they said that wasnt An option. Frustrating!

For one night stay it was great but more then that in my opinion i wasnt going to get good sleep. Although centrally located in a great position at night when trying to sleep you can hear everything as if all our windows were opened.

Cerca de la avenida Charles Darwin, que es la principal y desde donde podrás accesar a muchos sitios de interés. Personal muy amable. Huespedes cocinan en una pequeña área de cocina, pero los vapores se esparcen por todo el hostal, lo que huele mucho a comida principalmente por las noches. Cocina no muy equipada. No pude encontrar una taza para hacerme un café que yo llevaba. Igual vasos. Para la calidad del lugar el precio me pareció elevado. Hice consultas en muchos otros hostales y hasta mas bonitos y el precio era hasta un 30% menos. Wifi muy lento, pero es normal en toda la isla.

The rooms were clean and comfortable for the price. There is significant noise that comes from the street at night and street lights lighting up the room for the entire night.
