- Krzysztof (9/5): - True japanese experience! Onsen, futon, yukatas
- Luuk (8/5): - Hele aardige eigenaren.
- Albanie (8/5): - We love the milky Onsen water and the outdoor baths! Nice Onsen facility but could use a little upgrading.

- AB1188 (10/5): - What an incredible place! Amazing food( each breakfast and dinner were different at restaurant quality) & amazing spot to hike around to all the waterfalls in Norikuri. Great people and such a cozy place. The onsen was the cherry on the top
- Shlomit (8/5): A good place to stay for one night close to Kamikochi - It was close to the park entrance, the Onsen ( public is better then private) interesting atmosphere, dinner was interesting Bathrooms are not so pleasant, didn’t feel clean enough
- Van (10/5): Eventhough we have the share bathroom and shower, it’s super clean. There were 3 onsens in each bathroom and private ons - Squeaky Clean, comfy, reasonable price, amazing breakfast
- Konstantin (8/5): -
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Aleksander (9/5): Superb - We loved the location in the middle of the mountains and the natural onsen. The japanese breakfast was excellent. The public space is comfy and cosy.
- Kook (10/5): Exceptional -
- Thanapong (8/5): Very good -
- Ben (9/5): Superb -
- Pierre-louis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Thaw (5/5): Passable -
- Wai (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lukas (9/5): Great experience. Would definitely stay here again! - Traditional family owned ryokan with private and public (24/7) onsen. Very good dinner and breakfast. The staff was very kind and helpful. Laundry after long hiking highly appreciated. We felt like home. Seems like our room was directly above the onsen and thus slightly noisy in the evening.
- Susanna (8/5): Delicious and relaxing stay - The meal was delicious!! I highly recommend you get the dinner. The owner picks these wild mushrooms themselves. The broth is divine. This is the perfect meal after you’ve been hiking.
The private onsen was great! (although it was a little too hot for us Canadians - still great, just keep in mind that it might be harder for us cold climate people to adjust). The staff was super helpful. They spoke English and Japanese!
- Zhiming (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jasmine (10/5): Authentic Japanese guest house in lovely mountain location - Great little authentic Japanese guest house, close to beautiful frozen falls, can book private onsen and Japanese breakfast. Japanese futon beds a little hard for my liking but probably I’m just not used to it. No shower in room only toilet and basin.
- Benjamin (8/5): Very good -
(9/5): Cozy with Japanese vibes - A real traditional Japanese guesthouse. Really nice open door Onsen included. It can feel a bit old but it’s part of its charm
(7/5): Good -
- Anonymous (7/5): Good -
- Kristen (8/5): Thank you! - Onsen Yado Misuzuso is good value to stay in the mountains near Kamikochi. We stayed in a beautiful tatami room with yukatas provided to wear to the baths. The baths at this onsen smell really strongly of sulfur, be warned. There’s a lovely tiny restaurant Iodori located right next door so we could just walk over for dinner. The staff were really kind. Nothing
- Jeremy (4/5): Disappointing - Hot bath, the hotel offers B/F and dinner Price and quality of room/amenities didn’t much. (overpriced) The hotel is old
- Marvin (10/5): Exceptional - Onsen Yado Misuzuso is a wonderful place in the middle of the mountains with incredibly friendly staff! The rooms are traditional style and beautifully arranged and have shared bathrooms. The onsen is so great after a long day of hiking or just before in preparation, we could not get enough of it. And the hosts even offered us a private onsen for half an hour without any additional cost. Can only recommend! Best small traditional onsen I've stayed in Japan so far!
- Jaana (8/5): Well maintained Japanese style hotel with great breakfasts. - The staff were very helpful. The hotel is clean and in excellent condition. The Japanese breakfast was excellent. It is a good location to stay if you have a car and want to see Zengorono Falls (stunning in winter when frozen). The restaurant opposite (Irodori) was excellent. Westerners may find the futons hard and the room a bit small (we were a group of 4 and the futons took up almost the whole room when laid out), though they were fairly average compared to many other traditional Japanese hotels we have stayed in. The shared Onsen bathroom for showering is freezing and the Onsen tub was so hot I could not get in.
- Verified traveler (6/5): -
- MEI LING (8/5): good - good
