- David (10/5): Great host, excellent facilities and breakfast. Will definitely stay again if we happen back this way! - The property is updated and well maintained by the owner, Gary Ashdown, on the outskirts of Dover. It’s a small town, almost everything Dover has to offer is just a short walk from the property. The full breakfast is more than ample, expertly prepared, and delicious. One of the very best places we’ve stayed. Gary, the host, is very personable and helpful. We liked everything about it!
- Wendy (10/5): -
- Sylvana (10/5): Professional and personal stay - Elegant but practical stay, even down to fresh roses in our room. Great breakfast to start the day and a lovely view to the backyard with sheep and a rose garden to wander through. Proprietor excellent personal conversationalist. Guests were lovely as well. Will stay for much longer when we return. 😀 No shower cap as shower was too high for me
- Kia (10/5): Gary is a lovely host. Room was nice, warm & cozy. Breakfast was sensational. This B&B is a must stay - The room was amazing, the big bed and pillows were just so comfortable. Everything was spotless.

- Sharon (9/5): Recharging & delightful. - Loved the property! Gary was friendly but respectful of our privacy & time. He was very informative & nothing was to much trouble. The breakfast each morning was delicious & presented beautifully, a hearty, healthy home cooked breakfast that kept you going till dinner. The view from the lounge/dinning room is beautiful. The gorgeous smelling flowers brought the cutest Bumblebees, the little birds danced everywhere, the sheep were up for a chat & the chickens provided colourful eggs for breakfast. Watching the pretty sunrise over the paddock & go down by the warm fire pot was so very relaxing. From here there is so many things to do that don’t require long driving distance. Loved our stay & definitely could have stayed longer had we the time. This B & B brought fond memories that will last our lifetime :) Thankyou Gary & Lorraine! Unfortunately I found the bed saggy which did increase my back pain. Our room fridge wasn’t very cold & had no freezer to freeze our cooler block as we are travelling & required it but Gary assisted with putting it in his freezer till our departure. There was no ice for our drinks as there was no freezer however Gray did provide some ice for us upon request which made all the difference, thankyou.

Everything was super clean, comfortable and warm (was cold and wet), also all of products ie shampoos etc were top notch. The BnB was well located near town and we had a nice meal at the RSL. We loved the sheep and little 1 week old lambs in the paddocks. The BnB had a great communal dining room with couches and some books and the solitaire puzzle )which we didn’t quite work out and will come back another time and solve) and the fantastic views of the mountains . Nothing to complain about.
- George (10/5): Lovely setting with the wildlife nearby - Friendly service and advice and very welcoming on arrival and during stay. Accommodated wife’s needs with a shower chair A choice of breakfast as it is a full breakfast and a choice to pick 1 or 2 eggs and with or without sausages or other items is only negative to remember if you don't feel like a full breakfast, so not a negative as we loved the stay.

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed the homely feel of the accommodation and Gary was an incredible host. His passion shines through. He went out of his way to organise a reservation for us for dinner and was able to give us the rundown of the town. The breakfast far exceeded our expectations and we were able to purchase some delicious home made jams. We will definitely be back.

The staff were extremely polite, accommodating and went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible. The free breakfasts were incredibly generous and catered to my and my husband's particular food intolerances. The double room with the garden view was spacious, meticulously cleaned and includes complimentary tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom area was well organised with a lovely shower and heated towel rack. I appreciate the owners' commitment to eco friendly materials and practices without compromising comfort.
We greatly appreciated our hosts' support in allowing and assisting us to prepare our own meals using the charcoal BBQ and utensils they provided from their personal kitchen. We made some delicious food while enjoying the southern Tasmanian ambience. It was a wonderful alternative to the limited number of dining out options in Dover and surrounds.
