- Craig (7/5): Great for centre of town - Basic but good, great location. Room was very small, but it was quiet with good aircon

- Melissa (9/5): -
- Matthias (8/5): Komme gerne wieder!
- Ekaterina (9/5): - Great host Walter, comfortable location, everything for short stay A bit noisy from street. Not so much place.
- Anthony (8/5): everything was good - everything was good The bed is squeaking
- ROJOSE (10/5): Staff is amazing 👏..thank you and will come back again sometime. -
- Natascha (7/5): -
- Anthony (8/5): happy stayed at the hotel - nice location 3rd floor
Paracetemol moeten slakken vanwege mijn rug.
- Sofia (7/5): Serviceable! - This was in a very central place and had a comfortable bed. We chose a cheaper windowless room but the lighting wasn't great and it felt a little small.

- Lo (7/5): - The location is exceptional The bed is a bit uncomfortable
- Zulkarnaen (10/5): Wonderful - Stay here just to roam the night market during weekend and morning sunday gaya street market. Wonderful. There are beggars on sunday market which im not really into...but totally not related to this lodge.
- Anna (8/5): Budget option for short stay in KK - Super location on Gaya street - lots of restaurants (breakfast options) even foodie market at weekends), super responsive and helpful staff, budget option for stay, strong A/C Too firm bed mattress, not very controllable A/C- in small room even on sleep mode it was blowing too strong
- Bettina (8/5): - Die Lage ist spitze.
- Trang (10/5): nice staff, good location - Late checkin was pretty easy and hassel-free with clear instruction. Staff are very nice to help keeping my luggage while I'm away for Kinabalu climb. Location is perfect as it's a bustling area and close to everything. Easy to walk around.
- Manfred (9/5): I would go back - No fuss compact and well priced
- Ronaldo (10/5): -
- Elfriede (10/5): -
- Cornelia William (8/5): -
- Enya (6/5): - I tour e la posizione La stanza era molto piccola

- Sky (8/5): -
- sautim binti katam (8/5): -
- marco (6/5): - Ottima posizione e personale molto disponibile Stanza molto piccola, rumorosa e priva di mobilia o appoggi. Molto scomodo starci più di una notte
- Nat (10/5): - Very accessible
- Rupert (8/5): -
- violaine (8/5): Simple, but good for price - Almost everything you need, comfortable, good location, easy to communicate with staff!
Daily housekeeping! Nothing a big deal really. For price, comfortable and clean.
But to avoid disappointement here the points that could improve (price will go up i guess): Would need a bit of refresh, Wifi very slow, tv no point to use it without wifi, a small fridge would have been nice, a bit noisy street at times....
- Callum (10/5): Perfect place to stay, well situated beside the local markets where you can try some amazing local food. Plenty of banks -
- Romain (3/5): -
- Andrea (8/5): Very good -
- Asif (4/5): Passable, but not comfortable - Central location, coffee shops and stores nearby but nothing special. Room door lock problems. Bed springs poking back. Old shower low water pressure. No cutlery. Loud noise outside thin window. Cheap toilet paper breaks apart. Everything is cheap. Improvement needed.
- Yi (6/5): Pleasant -
- Andrea (10/5): Central comfortable friendly and helpful staff - Central location, plenty of life
- Barnaby (10/5): Great location, value, and helpful . - The location was perfect. Sunday and night market, and central for everything else. Clean and in good order. Very helpful friendly reception. Nothing.
- Kevin (8/5): Very good -
- Marta (10/5): Exceptional - Located in the city centre, clean and comfortable. Shops and restaurants nearby. Recommended.
- Halman (8/5): A very friendly - Excellent location. no one in office or front desk to help with " tourist information".during my 3 days but the manager was always available by phone.
- Ian (8/5): Very good - Very affordable and centrally located. Staff were very friendly and easy to communicate with.
- Daniela (8/5): I fully recommend for short stays - The value for money is there. The check-in was well facilitated and smooth. Room is small and sufficient for one person with small luggage. Basic but clean. Great for short stay. Location is great. Felt very safe The room I had was on the side of the area's garbage collection so it was noisy when people would throw trash but even more so around 10:30-11:00pm when the trucks collected the trash.
Aside from that, no disturbance. I recommend it
- Heidi (9/5): Incredible location for Gaya Street on the weekend - Excellent and friendly communication from booking andthroughout stay. Location is amazing as it’s in the heart of Gaya Street. I had a room on the back of the building, so there was no street noise, but front rooms probably would be pretty noisy. Good security so you feel safe. Be aware that the room is tiny, just enough for the bed and a small wet shower/toilet. But it had what I needed and everything was very clean. Incredible value for the location. I would stay again.
- Bec (8/5): Good value - Good location short walk to markets and jetty. Air con worked. Hot water.
- Syed (8/5): Very good -
- Yat (8/5): Very good -
- Stevecofield (9/5): Superb - The location of the hotel was excellent. Near to lots of restaurants, bars and cafés, and about fifteen banks. The room was small, but adequate, hot water on demand, and the aircon worked well. I didn't try the WiFi. I had a room without a window, which didn't bother me as I don't spend all day gazing out of bedroom windows, it may, in fact have been a blessing in disguise, as there was a market Friday and Saturday nights, and Sunday morning which could be quite loud. My room was very quiet. There was a kettle in the room and a tv that I didn't try, but nothing else really.
- Stevecofield (9/5): Superb -
- Brandon (8/5): Great, Thank you - Staff were brilliant, good price. Great location in the middle of the centre Nothing
- Shia (5/5): Passable - Strategic location at Gaya St Running down facilities
- Chun-ming (8/5): Very good -
- Jaya (8/5): Very good -
- Derek (9/5): Superb - Really good location and Walter was very nice and helpful.
- Yarik (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rojose (10/5): Exceptional - Nice
- Mohammad (8/5): Very good -
- Nurulzannah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ronaldo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Farif (5/5): Passable - Sukaa psl bwah nya ampir gaya street. We can go down saja klau lapar . Ampir kedai orange 24hrs open. Pyh hantap cari paking. Kami dpt saman psl kami nda kana gtau after 5 cannot paking theree. Hmmm.
- D. (8/5): Very good - Room was okay, enough beds to cater for my entire family (with kids). Owner was very responsive. He guided me through the entire process of checking in/out. I love that the lodge is located in a strategic area; they have banks, restaurants, convenience stores, night markets, you name it, almost EVERYTHING! Heater wasn't working. Apart from that, everything was fine.
- Derek (10/5): Great spot - Walter is brilliant. Very nice guy and always quick with helpful answers and info.
- Ronaldo (10/5): Exceptional -
- M (10/5): Exceptional - Nice and helpful host. Small room with private bathroom, for one person ok. Clean. Very good location. Night market at the gate. Restaurants and shops. Close to the ATM (banks). Close to the Rabbit scooter rental if you want go to the tip of Borneo. Comfortable bed. Shampoo and toilet paper, towel included in the price.
I recommend. Room is really small with a tiny cabinet but for one person is OK.
- Katzinger (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rosman (10/5): Exceptional -
- Siong (8/5): Very good - Centrally located in town centre. The owner will whatsApp for the check in details or meet you at the counter at noon. The ceiling exhuast fan in the toilet need repair/improvement as it is either no working or very slow to drain away the smell in the toilet as this is necessary for good ventilaton in the no-window room.
- Ricard (10/5): Confortable stay, flexible host - Great communication with the host! I made a mistake while booking the room, but he was really flexible and made my stay comfortable and made me feel welcome. Everything was spotless and had a pleasant smell. No noise outside.
- Cecelia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Frank (8/5): Very good - nice communication with owner.in the middle of everything, everything there and everything works no small fridge, wifi not always stable
- Dominic (8/5): Very good -
- John (8/5): Good for budget travelers, boss is nice and helpful - It’s located right at the center of the city, perfect! The price is reasonable and absolutely worth for its location and facility. The first night we stayed was Saturday, there was a holiday market in the street. Actually it’s noisy until midnight. The next day , Sunday, the market is finished, that’s much better and not noisy then.
- Andrea (10/5): Greay stay in Kota Kinabalu - The room was small but very clean, as was the bathroom. The bed was super comfortable and the AC worked well. Right in the city centre near restaurants, shops and the pier.
- Renata (8/5): Perfectly fine budget option in a great location - Great location on Jalan Gaya. Good budget option, very clean!
- Valda (10/5): Thank you so much for your hospitality! - I was happy to be there. Good location. Quiet place. Good WiFi. Very friendly and helpful owner. Thank you so much for your hospitality!
- Moussaab (9/5): Clean and well situated location - Walter is very helpfull and the location is very good
- Gladys (9/5): Superb - The room is very simple and small but comfortable enough.
Walter, the owner, is very communicative and helpful.
The location is perfect, close to everything you could think of. .
- Ayrton (8/5): Very good -
- Felicity (9/5): Superb - The place was in a great location, near night markets and lots of coffee shops and restaurants for during the day. The staff were really helpful, leaving keys in a safe box for us to check in in the early hours. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed - great value for money and would recommend a stay here in KK!
- Shanti (6/5): Pleasant -
- Anthony (6/5): Pleasant -
- Portia (10/5): Keep it up more power - Accommodating staff and owner Just need to clean the areas near the stairs
- Shaun (7/5): Good cheap stay - what you'd expect for the cost - Lovely owner, helped with early Check in
Organised taxi for us to airport in middle of the night.
Very good for the price Nothing
- Yuliana (7/5): We had quite a memorable stay at Gaya lodge, not the best facility and so on but the distance to eateries is excellent, - The location of this lodge is very strategic, so many good eateries within walking distance. Api-Api night market which only available on weekends are just in front of it. The Wifi certainly didn't work well. Kids always freak-out. The lodge is ok to just for sleep in my opinion. If you want something more, this is not the one for you. As there are also many good hotels nearby, along Gaya road. The toilet is not the cleanest also, which to me, is quite disturbing.
- Mohd (8/5): just find a free carpark for your car, you are good to walk all around the city. - very near to the shopping SURIA MALL. nice for night market at Gaya street every Friday and Saturday night. the stairs only have few lights. very scary for single women.
- Karl (8/5): Very good -
