If you’re looking for a quiet place consider staying closer to bikini beach area, it’s more quiet there. The host didn’t provide any information about the hotel and the island, such as the location of tourist beach, which sunbed on the beach can occupy, where to get beach towel, where to fill water bottle, what time and where to watch stingrays, etc. The attitude of the receptionist woman was not welcoming at all.

• "Elaine " (10/5): - Ótimo, fiquei em um quarto com varanda e foi perfeito, está muito próximo à biquini beach (uns 2 minutos a pé), funcionários excelentes, quartos limpos, a comida é maravilhosa, o cardápio da noite foi um pouco repetitivo, mas não comprometeu. Para quem está em.busca de uma ilha pública é excelente. A ilha, a biiquini beach são lindas, tem guarda sol e cadeiras do hotel, mas a ilha está passando por um momento de muitas construções, espero que a ilha nao perca seu encanto.
• Imane (10/5): Un séjour absolument exceptionnel ! - Nous avons passé quatre nuits dans cet hôtel et honnêtement, si j’avais su à quel point l’expérience serait parfaite, j’aurais réservé encore plus longtemps. Une vue absolument sublime, un emplacement idéal avec tout à proximité, ce qui rend le séjour encore plus agréable. Le personnel mérite une mention toute particulière, ils sont d’une gentillesse rare, toujours disponibles, très accueillants et profondément attentifs au bien-être de leurs clients. On sent qu’ils prennent réellement soin des personnes et cela fait toute la différence. La nourriture était également excellente, vraiment très bonne, avec des plats parfaitement bien dosés et préparés avec soin. Je recommande vivement cet établissement à toute personne souhaitant passer un séjour inoubliable. Un immense merci pour cette magnifique expérience. Le seul petit point d’amélioration que je pourrais suggérer serait de mettre à disposition une bouilloire ou une machine à café avec quelques dosettes dans la chambre, ce qui rendrait le séjour encore plus confortable. Encore merci pour tout ! Rien !

• Angella (9/5): Blue water and lovely staff! - We visited four islands and this one was our least favorite because of the lack of coral and fish. What stood out was the kind staff who served the food however there wasn’t much variety. The view from the room was nice and the location on the island was easy to get to from the ferry dock. The nurse sharks and rays are easy to see if you walk over when tour groups are there which is fun.

• Maureen (8/5): Schöne Unterkunft mit einfachem Standard und gutem Essen - Alles sauber, Essen gut, nette Hosts, nah zum Bikini Beach und quasi direkt bei den Rochen. Ab 22Uhr war immer Ruhe. Rundherum Baustellen ohne Ende, das hat es tagsüber stressig gemacht. Fahrt mit dem Speedboot über eine Stunde, was aufgrund der rauen See anstrengend war. Super viele Mücken!

Også mannen som vasket rommene våre, var alltid smilende og hyggelig. Betjeningen i kafeen/restauranten var også ok, men her kan det gjøres litt forbedringer, spesielt ved at det surrer mye flyer rundt frokost- buffeten. Alt i alt fornøyd. Rommene var veldig bra! Restauranten, fluene og tilberedning av maten

• D.d.C.F (8/5): - Die Freundlichkeit und Aufmerksamkeit ist sehr hervorzuheben. Baulärm den ganzen Tag und auf der ganzen Insel. Zimmer ist Renovierungsbedürftig. Es regnet rein und die Badmöbel wie Terrassenmöbel können nicht genutzt werden wegen Schimmel.

• Sandra (7/5): - Die Lage ist sehr toll, direkt am Meer. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und bei Fragen hilfsbereit. Das Essen war schmackhaft, manchmal sehr scharf,. ich mag es, eins meiner Kinder eher nicht so. Schade fand ich, dass es kaum Fisch gab. Wenn wir richtig geschaut haben, gab es auf der Insel einen neuen Geldautomaten, ob der allerdings funktionierte, weiß ich nicht, da wir ihn nicht ausprobiert haben. In der Unterkunft kann man aber auch mit der Kreditkarte bezahlen, aber auch das haben wir nicht ausprobiert. Es gibt eine Minibar, Preise sollten sich in der Tür befinden, bei uns stand jedoch nichts, daher haben wir davon nichts genommen. Das Doppelbett war sehr bequem. Wir waren in der obersten Etage. Der Blick ist super, nur leider roch es da auch hin und wieder seltsam. Zum Glück ist mein Mann gelernter Klempner und konnte die Toilette mehrfach selbst reparieren, da die Spülung nicht ging, sonst hätten wir öfters jemanden holen müssen. Das Bad ist ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen, dort wurde auch viel Holz verbaut, was bei der Luftfeuchtigkeit eher ungünstig ist, da es bereits schimmelt. Das Bad müsste auch mal renoviert werden. Ein Wäscheständer auf dem Balkon wäre gut, damit man nasse Wäsche trocknen kann. Neben der Unterkunft wird gebaut, eigentlich überall am Strand. Die Arbeiten gingen meist bis 22 Uhr. Uns hat es jetzt nicht so gestört, wer aber geräuschempfindlich ist, wird damit Probleme haben. Der Balkon ist zwar überdacht, aber wenn der Regen von der Seite kam, war trotzdem alles nass.

• Jessica (10/5): Wonderful stay with kids - We had a wonderful stay at Kinan Retreat. Very warm welcome, super friendly staff, very nice for the kids too. Beautiful rooms with sea view and space to hang swim gear. To have a (very tasty) breakfast and dinner at the beachside restaurant is just lovely. Dinner also possible vegetarian if you tell in advance. Very nearby bikini beach, but also possible to swim directly in front and snorkel with or watch nurse sharks/rays. The walk to the other side of the island (for more snorkeling at the reef) is just 5 minutes. Other than a very bumpy ride on the speedboat (rough seas due to weather conditions) to get there we had a great stay!

• hillvanderkooij (7/5): Dubbel gevoel, omdat niet aan onze verwachtingen is voldaan, maar personeel was top! - Het personeel was uiterst vriendelijk en behulpzaam, en dat hebben we zeker gewaardeerd. En de schoonmaak is fantastisch. Iedere dag schone handdoeken en een opgemaakt bed. Ook de ligging is prettig, vlakbij de pier (met dagelijks roggen en nurse sharks zichtbaar) en op loopafstand van Bikini Beach. Ontbijt was prima, maar wat eenzijdig. Weinig echt gezonde keuzes. De aangeboden snorkeltrip was erg goed georganiseerd door Kiran Retreat. Fijne boot en goed materiaal. Helaas erg massaal door veel andere toeristen die helaas het koraal en het zeeleven niet altijd goed behandelen. Fantastisch dat we filmpjes kregen van de trip, gemaakt door onze gids. Op de foto’s leek het hotel een prachtige plek, maar in werkelijkheid viel het ons helaas wat tegen. Er is momenteel veel nieuwbouw gaande op het eiland, waardoor de omgeving minder idyllisch oogt dan verwacht. Gelukkig wordt door de bouwvakkers wel rekening gehouden met herrie maken. De kamer zelf had duidelijk achterstallig onderhoud. Meubels en afwerking waren wat verouderd en dat gaf niet de frisse indruk die we hadden gehoopt. De badkamer vonden we wat knullig ingericht: er moet in bad gedoucht worden, waardoor de hele vloer nat werd. Dat was niet erg comfortabel en in verhouding met de betaalde prijs. Het hele eiland viel ons wat tegen. We wisten natuurlijk dat we niet op een resort eiland hadden geboekt, maar alles oogde wat rommelig. Veel rommel (helaas achter gelaten door toeristen) op het bikini strand en uitpuilende vuilnisbakken die tijdens ons gehele verblijf niet waren geleegd.

• Morne (7/5): Good - The location was great being very close to the bikini beach on one side, and the pier to the other. The dinners were on the beach with sharks in the background and a short walk to the sting rays. The excursion arranged for us to swim with the nurse sharks, turtles and see dolphins was incredible. Probably the best day excursion we have done when thinking all what we got for the price we paid compared to trips in other parts of the world or country. The team who took us were extremely accommodating. This hotel feels very personal and family run. We had our check out time mixed up, yes the host was very understanding. The snorkeling Reef was on the other side, and the other Kinan hotel(Botique Hotel) is beautiful and new. That would have been a better choice for us in regards to freshness and facilities. The meals were very basic but adequate.

• Lena (6/5): It's ok. - Location was good and the deck and balcony was wide. The ground staff needs more customer service training and the room lacked amenities such as hand soap, shampoo and even a kettle for hot water. Food was just so-so.
• Jonathan (6/5): I would not stay here again - This hotel opened another “boutique” location across the island, that I think is stretching resources thin. Wouldn’t recommend staying here Upon arrival, no one greeted us at the dock, to help with luggage..which is forgivable as I know I’m not at a resort. Didn’t get any info at checkin, just signed some paperwork and given a key. Would have liked to know the mediocre breakfast was not included What got me was the photos they have online compared to the actual. I’ve uploaded the pics, not only have the trees definitely grown an extra five years, they put up not 1 but 2 structures blocking the sea view. It’s not worth the price. Water pressure was pretty bad, but not as bad as the WiFi that just didn’t work at all. Told the manager, he just kept saying that no one ever complains about that… weird response. About 25 beach chairs at the BB with kinans name..five are broken. There’s a lot more than 20 Kinan guests at this island with their two hotels, and guests are aggressive with their chairs here.
• Erica (2/5): A very disappointing stay! - The location and food. Everything except for the food. First of all, no one greeted you when you arrived. Guests from other hotels had a staff member waiting for their arrival at the jetty, but not the guests of Kinan Retreat. The staff: I was very annoyed with the woman at the front desk (her name started with an ‘S’). She is definitely in the wrong business because she is not hospitable at all. It felt like she didn’t want me there. She asked where I was staying once I left the hotel because she would arrange transfer. Not once did she state that I was being transferred back to Malé. Had it not been for another hotel guest, I would have never known until I arrived at the airport. Furthermore, she brushed it off like it was not a big deal. So unprofessional! I stayed for one night and that one night almost ruined my whole trip. I’m so glad I went to a resort on another island after my stay at Kinan Retreat because the resort really made me fall in love with The Maldives. The room: I was given a room right by the stairs that had a bunch of junk underneath. Also, the pictures of the room are very deceitful. There is not a television in the room. The WiFi was terrible. It felt like I was staying in a Motel 6 back home in the United States. The food: Lunch and dinner were fantastic. Breakfast could be better but overall, I really enjoyed the food. I would NOT recommend this hotel at all! If you want to have a great time in The Maldives, don’t waste your time here.

• Enrico (7/5): Good hotel in the most convenient place in the island - The hotel is right in front of the beach and near the port. Every other beach and interesting place is at walking distance. The bed was really comfortable and the room clean. The staff kind and proactive. Breakfast can definitely be improved since the few options available were not going along well with each other. More type of eggs, fruit and juices would help a lot already. The customer service especially during breakfast was poor.
• Alice (10/5): Paradise ❤️ - This accommodation and especially the staff took us by the heart. ❤️ We had a room on the top floor with a huge terrace where there were sun loungers and a table and chairs. The room was cleaned regularly and scented with watermelon essence so we felt great. We also had full board paid and I think that's a win, one doesn't have to worry about anything. The choice is great and they can cater for gluten and dairy free diets too. You get a choice of Coca-Cola or Sprite for lunch and dinner in addition to a pitcher of water, which I find a luxury. We would love to return as the island has a great atmosphere and we simply felt very comfortable there. And if we do return, it will be to Kinan Hotels. 🥰🙏🏻
• Insh26 (7/5): A lovely family run place, clean, with friendly staff and easy access to the beach - A really homely environment. Shoes off at entry to the building which helps keep the place clean. The room itself was a good size, comfortable beds, and clean. Had AC and ceiling fan in the room. Simple amenities in the room. Really lovely, friendly staff. The manager (Shahida?) was very helpful in organising things and answering questions. The housekeeper (known as the room boy) was super nice and very efficient. We undertook an excursion with the hotel and that went well. We also had a snorkelling guide which was great for safety. Cash is handy to have on Fulidhoo. Although the hotel did appear to have a card machine now. Lunch was nice at the hotel, and very reasonably priced. However, it can be quite difficult to order and takes some time. We had dinner once at the hotel for $12, which again well priced. The food was nice and we had live music this night. An excellent band, very enjoyable. Well located hotel, close to shops, restaurants, cafes and the mosque. A very well located beach front hotel. Beautiful waters. The beach outside the hotel is a no bikini beach which was fine for us. There are a few boats here though. Just a short walk along the beach is a bikini beach, which had clearer views and nicer to relax on. - The bathrooms are on the smaller end, and are wet rooms. Therefore can cause a lot of mess. - I’m not sure the blinds were allowing full privacy - we arranged a speedboat on arrival, when we got to the airport to board the boat there was a lot of confusion. We were first placed on a boat and then had to get off and find a different one. A smoother process is needed. The return journey was more efficient. - can be hard to dry swimwear if you are not on the balcony room - simple breakfast spread - at times can be hard to find staff to ask questions.

• Robert (9/5): Superb - The location the staff the food the entertainment it was all very good . Fantastic maldive holiday at a fraction of cost of private resorts plus you meet local people. fulidhoo is an amazing island .don't hesitate this place is wonderful. Kayaks are free to use but unless having a paddle very early they use the two kayaks to get the boats so they are not available as a keen kayaker was disappointed. The other issue was did a trip to shark point but our guide didn't speak much English so didn't give any safety guidelines, I got a small nip on my hand from a shark and he didn't have a first aid kit .
• The_ninja (8/5): Great place to stay in Fulidhoo - Very kind staff, always happy to help. Great atmosphere. The dinner with sharks and stingrays is awesome! Grrat location, close to the bikini beach. Great for kids. The room equipment is a little run down. We were in the room on top and it looked a lot better on pictures. Still very comfortable. The food could use a little bit more variety - especially the breakfast.

• Naiara (9/5): It was really good and worth to visit it. - The property is almost in front of the dock. The staff was awaiting for us upon arrival that it surprised us as we did not advise of the arrival. The rooms are good for value and the staff care about us. They did activities during our stay that helps us enjoy the island One of the rooms had a smelly bathroom.
• Neely12 (8/5): Lovely local island, would stay again - Lovely place with restaurant downstairs. The staff all work incredibly hard and are so pleasant and nice to deal with. Speedboat was arranged for us but no-one was there to meet us at the airport so caused quite some anxiety thinking we were going to miss it. Faisal was available by phone and it was sorted out. Due to the open shower, my son slipped in the bathroom and hurt himself quite badly on the knee, elbow and face. Any sound travels very easily due to the construction of the property. I wish travellers would be more considerate of the locals and dress more modestly when not at the bikini beach as I was embarrassed for them at times (its not benidorm!!!)
• Neely12 (8/5): Had a fab stay - We decided to extend our stay by another night (wish it could have been more). Liked the convenience of just being able to go downstairs to the restaurant. Nothing to dislike as long as you are realistic about the standard they are able to offer on a local island where literally everything has to come by boat

• Christian (2/5): Watch out! Don't go there! - Next to the beach on a beautiful island! Insects and bedbugs in the room! Light from the floor shines inside the room all night long. Poor breakfast. Unfriendly and lazy woman at the reception! Bathroom smells awfull! If you don't mind these aspects, that's the place to be... if not, watch out for other places on the island... there are so many good accommodations....
• Stelios_my (10/5): Exceptional - If you are looking for heaven on earth you have found it! It is by far the most beautiful accommodation on the island. The first step is in the sand and for ten days we didn't even need our slippers. Everything was spotless. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The food was just wonderful. Dinner was served on the beach. Every day they create a beautiful setting by putting chairs, tables and lights in front of the sea and usually the food includes potatoes, rice, pasta and chicken or fish. All deliciously cooked like an expensive restaurant. But the most important thing is neither the rooms nor the food. The reason you should stay at this particular place is the people who work there. They're all excellent and special. The girl at the front desk, the manager, the cook and all the other guys hugged us from the first moment as if we were their family they hadn't seen in a long time. I don't know how we could ever thank them for giving us these moments. Guys, we loved you all! We really love you! We hope to see you again!
• Sharon (9/5): Great views - Enjoyed the large balcony and great views. Worth mentioning also was a very hardworking staff that worked tirelessly from morning to night, keeping the rooms and surroundings neat and clean. No shower curtain to keep bathroom floor dry. Wifi was weak. Better at ground level.
• Mária (9/5): Superb - -location: stunning, nice view from the balcony, it is hotel directly on the beach with nice clear water. nice public beach is around 3 minutes by walk -room: good bed with comfy mattresses -food: they prepared very tasted meals, pastas, noodless, for breakfast you can choose also fruits. dinners was on the beach, what was very romantic -staff: friendly and helpful -activities: you can choose some trips, for example diving with turtles or sharks, shipwreck or rajas - you have coffee and tea whole day in the price - we had wedding here and we are very satisfied in our bathrooms wasnt possible to close the window, so we heard drum players till midnight. also doors is not possible to close properly. we had to buy watter, because you have it just for breakfast, lunch and dinner
• Ahmed (10/5): Great place for honeymoon ❤️ - The hotel is located in a prime location in the city, as it directly overlooks the sea. Behind the hotel there is more than one shop where you can buy gifts at excellent prices. All the hotel staff are very polite and respectful especially ( faisal and mo fizol ), and the food was excellent. Everything was in order.

• Joanna (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely fantastic location, a few minutes walk from the bikini beach. Delicious local food, with enough options for each of us. Big thank you to the staff. You were amazing! Nothing was too much trouble, always smiling and very welcoming. The manager came to greet us on arrival and to say goodbye when we were leaving at 6.00 in the morning. They also prepared cooked breakfast for us on that day. The rooms were cleaned every day, cleaning staff always smiling and helpful. They were renovating the rooms when we stayed, so it's going to be even better going forward. We had a fantastic holiday ♡ The double room was quite small for three of us, but if we were about to go back to Fulidhoo, I think we would still book again.
• Valentin (8/5): Amazing experience swimming woth sharks and stingrays - The location it’s very good, we had the top floor room with an amazing balcony and view The room is big and spacious, the bed it’s very nice and big The staff especially the lady manager she is very very helpful with everything you need Positive things about the island itself: water is nice and clear, the bikini beach it’s very nice with soft white sand Good snorkeling if you adventure further on the left side of the island We had amazing experience swimming with a lot of nurse sharks We played with a lot of stingrays We found a local guy that given us private and cheaper deals then most of the guest houses can offer ( walk around and talk to the locals, they will look after you ) Wifi is very poor No tv in the room ( this was the deluxe room ) and it’s 2024 even 2 stars motels has tvs The food is very limited mostly fish we had full board included but we end up eating in other restaurants some times as the food very boring Now the negative things about the island I’ve been on other local islands and private resorts so I can tell the difference Not much vegetation on the island there are more buildings then palm trees, a lot of rubbish around and a lot of artificial staff that takes away the true feeling of a tropical Maldivian island A lot of construction going on that takes the tropical vibes away If it wasn’t for the sharks and stingrays I’ll say that I’ve regretted visiting this island, as it’s definitely not a cheap island to visit
• Arlena (7/5): A cozy place right next to the ocean - Very nice kitchen staff, especially the man from Sri Lanka. Very good lunches and dinners. Location on the first line by the ocean. Spacious room. The owner/manager (men) was very uncommunicative, unlike his employees. We had no information about the possibility of using additional, paid attractions. The bathroom in the room needs renovation and thorough cleaning. The internet didn't work at all or very poorly.

• Rebecca (7/5): small and clean local hotel close to shops and jetty - friendly staff, central to shops, beach areas and jetty (convenient in case you are doing day trips/activities), good activity services with fair prices, dinner right at the beach possible with nice food breakfast selection very minimal, no public space with AC for breakfast or lunch, a lot of organization on guests in case you want to have a sunbed and umbrella at the bikini beach, walking distance between hotel and bikini beach, everything feels a bit unorganized sometimes so bring patience; not sure if good value for money

• Vladislav (10/5): Great hotel location/ staff - Very nice beach hotel, near the bikini beach, easy to find/reach from the jetty, like 2 steps from the jetty. Nice room, cozy with AC. Cleaning was made every day, the options for the breakfast, lunch and dinner can be found at the hotel/area, food tasty. There are some small shops in the area too. Personal very polite and helpful with the speed boat transfer, excursion and other additional information. Special thanks to Faisal and Shaa for the help. In the future for sure will book again. -

• Memon (4/5): Disappointed for the Room. - Location was superb. Breakfast was nice. Room had no window. Bathroom hadn't exhaust facilities. Room had no privacy. Room was partly visible through clear glass which was covered with plastic blinds. Room resembled like a office. At least they should cover the glass portion with a wallpaper.
