• Jess (10/5): Incredible resort for a family holiday, we absolutely loved it here! - We had such a wonderful stay. Every single staff member that we encountered was incredibly friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable with all the amenities needed. Housekeeping did a wonderful job keeping the room feeling clean and tidy throughout our stay. The kids club was brilliant, our two boys aged 4 and 7 absolutely loved it and were constantly asking to go back, there were a great selection of activities for them each day and we loved that you could drop them off and pick them up at any time throughout the day and the staff would keep in contact if they needed anything, the staff were all wonderful. The restaurant and food throughout the entire resort was exceptional and exceeded our expectations, we thoroughly enjoyed everything that we had. They also catered extremely well to gluten free guests with a separate menu, even a menu with a range of made to order options during the breakfast buffet. Every single staff member in the restaurant were very well trained on dietary requirements and took extra care to ensure needs were met. We used the spa twice during our stay, we booked a family package and had a 60 minute massage for 2 adults and our 2 kids which was excellent, we didn’t know it was even possible for our boys to be completely silent for 60 minutes but we didn’t hear a peep out of them the entire time and they thoroughly enjoyed their experience, as did we! The resort itself is beautiful, well laid out, very well maintained and clean throughout. The pools were lovely, with the quieter lap pools and the more family orientated pool area with inflatables and slides, there was something for everyone. The amenities were great and the Samasta shopping area just outside the resort was a great addition especially for a stroll in the evening to grab an ice cream. We absolutely loved our stay here and were very sad to leave at the end of it, we would absolutely stay here again and recommend to all. Minor details in an otherwise fantastic day - It would be great if filtered water was more readily available/easily accessible without having to purchase it. With thirsty kids, having to purchase bottled water when poolside adds up quickly. It would be nice to have water offered for the tables in the restaurant without having to request table water. There wasn’t much on offer for gluten free guests during chocolate hour. The beach access - we left the resort to explore via the designated beach access point but were not informed (nor was there any signage anywhere) that the access back into the resort via this entrance closed at 9pm, we returned around 9.30pm with 2 very tired kids and our 87 year old grandad and had to walk a reasonable distance up a steep hill in the dark to gain access back into the resort via the main entrance, it would have been good to know beforehand. The majority of the seating around the pool were the daybeds that you had to reserve and pay for, there wasn’t a great amount of loungers that were located directly next to the pool (especially in the areas near the kids section) which meant that we were sometimes left with no choice but to pay for the daybed just to be in a position that allowed us to supervise our kids in the pool.

The gym was well equipped and always clean. The bed was very comfortable and room clean. The breakfast was fantastic with endless, fresh choices.

• Anina (10/5): - The facilities were amazing. Love all the available activities for families. Buffet breakfast was good, lots of options. We also loved chocolate hour, it was a fun little treat in the afternoon! We also liked the little village next door which offered some restaurants, souvenir shops, and markets on the weekends. It was great if you didn’t want to venture anywhere too far if you’re too lazy to go out for dinner. The Krisna’s souvenir shop was also a good place to get last minute gifts etc. Also loved that all the staff were friendly and attentive. And it was nice to see staff cleaning and refreshing the pool area in the morning. The shower tiles could use a bit more scrubbing as there was a little bit of mould on some of the tiles. But it was generally very clean.
• Zoe (10/5): Loved it and would definitely return. - We absolutely loved our stay at Movenpick Jimbaran! The hotel is beautiful with really green, well maintained grounds. Our room was really nice and spacious - ground floor with a nice outside balcony area. The bathroom was really spacious with a seperate bath and shower. The staff were all so welcoming, friendly and attentive. The pool are and kid's slides/ inflatable were great - all clean and well maintained. The kids club had a good selection of activities/ games and offered daily activities. The gym had a good range of equipment and was very clean. We had daily breakfast and dinner which was superb! Breakfast was buffet style with a huge selection and catered for everyone. Dinner was chosen from a menu and was really good - the food we had was really tasty and great portion sizes. Chocolate hour was a real treat! The food and drink prices felt very reasonable and there was lots of choices. The beach was around a five minute walk and was really nice with a selection of bars/ restaurants. There was a complex just outside the hotel with restaurants, cafes and some shops. We would definitely love to return to Movenpick Jimbaran :-) Nothing to report - maybe some pool games such as volleyball.

• anoutsider (10/5): Fantastic Family Hotel - Utterly great stay at this hotel. Really exceeded our expectations, and particularly made my 8 year old son very happy. The only issue is that he complained that the other hotels we stayed at in Bali weren't as good as a result! Breakfast had a wide selection, and the staff were always helpful. Service could occasionally be on the slower side, particularly for drinks (although this was a problem literally everywhere we went in Bali!). Food in the Mexican themed rooftop bar was particularly good, and staff a little better in helping. Had a very good value whisky flight there too. Pool had plenty to entertain our son, and he enjoyed the aqua-aerobics in the morning. Also kids club was a positive and he was always keen to attend (which made parents happy too!). Location was a mixed bag. The Samasta shopping area next door gave easy access to further restaurants, including a good steak place. Was also an arcade which gave another option for entertaining a child. Unfortunately the wider area was less accessible, with broken pavements and traffic making walking feel unsafe. Easy access to the beach though. Would 100% recommend the hotel for families, with everything you could want or need. Good food, good drinks, great staff and a real beautiful setting.

Kid features (step stool, toilet seat etc) were thoughtful, however the kid toilet seat was grossly dirty so we didn’t use it. Housekeeping was good but not consistent across the two rooms (one would get fresh glasses and water, the other wouldn’t etc). Pool was nice. Restaurant service was Suri was EXCEPTIONAL. She was so kind and attentive. Food was pretty good, but very slow. Drinks were very slow. Pool bar service was minimal - hard to get served, slow to arrive, no follow up. Spa was mediocre. Mexican rooftop restaurant was very nice. All inclusive is super clunky - no one seems familiar with what is and isn’t included, and what is included is way more limited than you’re lead to believe when booking. Location was okay but annoying to get anywhere and not much around. Overall, it was nice but not worth the price point.

• Ali (9/5): Overall, this is a great hotel with strong facilities and some truly exceptional staff members. With a few small improve - We had a very enjoyable stay at the hotel overall. The property was clean, well-maintained, and had a lovely atmosphere. The swimming pool was excellent, and the breakfast offered a great variety of options each morning. We also really appreciated the “chocolate hour,” which was a thoughtful and unique touch. The room itself was spacious, comfortable, and had a nice view. Cleanliness throughout the hotel was of a high standard. A special mention must go to some of the staff who truly made our stay memorable. Henny, the Customer Relations Manager, was outstanding, she went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable, kept in regular contact, and was always friendly and approachable. She really enhanced our experience. Adi, one of the cleaners, was also excellent, very polite and thorough, and maintained our room to a high standard. Additionally, Artini, the spa masseuse, provided an excellent service. The kids club was another highlight, with great facilities that kept our child entertained throughout our stay. We felt that the breakfast service was a little too rigid in terms of timing. At exactly 10:30am, we were unable to order coffee, even though we were already seated in the breakfast area. A bit more flexibility here would improve the guest experience. We also had a less positive experience with the children’s hairdresser, who was not particularly friendly and did not provide a welcoming experience for our child. Finally, as a Mövenpick hotel, we expected complimentary Mövenpick ice cream to be available on-site. Instead, it was only available for purchase at the café next door. Offering this as a complimentary feature would be a nice touch and align with brand expectations

• GoPlaces18114126551 (4/5): Unacceptable Discrimination at Breakfast - I was deeply disappointed by my experience at the hotel today. I brought my helper, who is Filipino, to enjoy a holiday with me. At the breakfast egg station, the staff questioned whether she was a “member” of the hotel. Even after she explained that she was staying with me, the cook refused to serve her. This discriminatory act was not only unacceptable but also hurtful to her feelings. When I confronted the staff about the incident, she pretended not to know what had happened. Such behavior is shocking and has no place in hospitality. Guests and their companions should be treated with respect and dignity, regardless of nationality or background. This experience has left a very negative impression, and I sincerely hope the hotel management takes immediate action to train staff properly and ensure such discrimination never happens again.

Location wise there is not much around a part from the beach area (good seafood restaurants) to eat out, every other direction was kind of a mess (you need a taxi to get out), you are basically stuck in the resort where they charge you $6 for a black coffee (to give you an idea) our room had a rather ugly vista (a laneway with a grey wall and if you consider what they charge you it should be better.

Долгое заселение. Мы были в пути с ребенком почти двое суток, хотелось только лечь и вытянуть ноги, а нам пол часа рассказывали о вещах, которые можно просто распечатать на листочке и дать ознакомиться. Непонятная система доплаты за кровать для ребенка. Сколько путешествуем по миру, всегда в отелях ставят кроватку или раскладушку для ребенка бесплатно.

The ride to the hotel was comfortable, and the driver communicated with us in clear English in a friendly and respectful way. He made conversation to get to know us while still giving us space to rest during the trip. The car was also nicely air‑conditioned, which added to the comfort. We were warmly welcomed at reception with hospitable and personalised service, including refreshing welcome drinks and cold towels. I was delighted by the surprise room upgrade given to my husband and me. I was also touched by the thoughtful birthday greeting from the staff, along with a lovely cake from the Mövenpick Café. Our room was well air‑conditioned, the breakfast offered a nice variety, and we enjoyed the spa and bar as well. Overall, it was a wonderful and memorable experience. One thing we found a little uncomfortable during our stay was that many staff members assumed we were locals. While we understood this was meant as a compliment, it became challenging for us to keep saying “English please” whenever we were spoken to in the local language. We never wanted to come across as degrading or dismissive, but it still felt awkward each time. This happened, for example, when we arrived for the Chocolate Hour and were approached by a staff member, who kindly greeted us but spoke to us in Balinese. I didn’t know how to respond at first except with a confused expression before eventually asking for English, which made me feel uneasy. It was also a bit awkward for my husband and me when we had just arrived in Bali, were still tired from travelling, and had limited time to enjoy the Chocolate Hour. During that time, we were approached several times by the sales team offering to show us other Accor hotels on another day. We appreciated the discount offers, but we were on a tight schedule and not yet in the right headspace to consider any additional plans. We politely declined and eventually had to explain our full itinerary for the representative to understand that we genuinely couldn’t commit. After that, we appreciated that she allowed us to enjoy the rest of our time. She remained friendly and continued to smile sincerely despite our polite refusal, which we truly valued.
