Guest Reviews
- Pascal (7/5): Excellente localisation pour visiter les magnifiques lieux de Kyoto - Le caractère authentique du logement J’ai tenté l’expérience de dormir sur un futon a même le sol. Je ne la renouvellerai pas !
- Sandra (10/5): -
- Mohammed (10/5): Perfects experience of a traditional Japanese home - Cleanliness, facilities and location
- Karina (10/5): Exceptional - Excelente experiencia dormir en una casita con piso de tatami
- Kenny (9/5): Superb -
- Hannah (8/5): Very good -
- Amie (10/5): Exceptional - We loved the location and beautiful layout of the appartment. Very well designed and not tired at all. The various lighting options made the main room very cozy in the evening. The little garden added a very relaxing feeling. Bathroom was so clean and modern.
- Sisi (10/5): A special experience worth to give it a try! - It is a traditional house, a very special experience for us. Also, the service is super! The driver took us to the house and also helped us to take care of the luggage. Thx a lot for hosting. Might be a little bit too small and you need to reorganize the room when you want to go to bed. But not bad. It's a very special experience to understand how people lived there in ancient times.
- Izabela (6/5): Pleasant - Clean and traditional experience Location is weird, check in is insane (you need to go to another place to checkin), way too small. The place poorly accommodate 3 people, one futon was overlapping the other.
- Hunter (6/5): - This was a good stay! Only issues my friends and I had was that it was a small location, ideal for two people obviously squeezing a third person was like playing Tetris with the Futons and the floor space. Another issue was that the futons were stained with something and considering one of my friends is pretty much germaphobic she didn’t really enjoy that aspect of the stay. Other than that great place, staff was courteous. And the places to walk to was plentiful!
- Mps91 (8/5): Very good -
- Eric (7/5): Good - It was relatively close to Kyoto Station and bus stops, with restaurants and convenience stores nearby. The accommodation itself was very spacious and came with great facilities. The futon was not enough to comfortably sleep on. You cannot sleep on your side.
- Hung (8/5): Clean and Convenient House - The check-in service is clear and it provided clear guideline on how to go into the house. The driver will make sure that you can successfully go into the house before leaving. There is also a guide provided within the house so that you are clear about eco arrangement and how to use equipment (even I don't use them). The house is quite convenient, you can walk to train station and Aeon mall in 10-15 minutes. The information showed in the Booking.com is not clearly enough. The information mentioned that "tax included" while you are required to pay accommodation tax during check-in. This is quite confusing.
- Yasmin (5/5): I probably wouldn’t book just from the room key issue. - I liked the traditional aspect of the property. Staff were very helpful. It’s too far away from the reception so if you have a problem it’s a massive hassle for them to come help you. Our key didn’t work and my partner had to walk back to the reception to ask staff to help us.
- Пламен (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gertjan (8/5): Convenient apartment in impressive Kyoto, close to Kyoto station. - We picked up the keys in a hotel, not far from Kyoto train station. The reception sent detailed information on the process beforehand and organised a pre-paid taxi to bring us to the apartment. The apartment was well equipped and quite spacious for Japanese standards. We highly appreciated the availability of a washing machine. The immediate environment of the apartment is very quiet without shops or restaurants, but Tokyo station is only a 10 minutes walk with all facilities and transport options. The reception does not provide luggage transport facility (highly recommended for use in Japan), but it can receive luggage and can refer to a company nearby.
- Daphne (4/5): Disappointing -
- Mars (10/5): Exceptional - Everything is great and super clean. Location is superb, nearby local shops and Kyoto Station. Futon beds are very thin, unlike in the pictures. Could be thicker to provide more cushioning.
- Jason (9/5): Superb -
- Kelly (9/5): Superb - love the location and amenities provided! located in the residential area, quiet at night.
- miharu (10/5): - 室内がとても清潔的で良かったです。
スタッフさんの対応も丁寧でした。
- Verified traveler (10/5): - 安排很有系統及專業。
建議能提供於最後一天協助運送行李至登記處寄存的服務,以彌補登記處離住處遠的缺點。
- Vanessa (10/5): - One of the best stays I have ever had in Japan! If you want to experience traditional Japanese style home while also enjoy great privacy, this is the place.
The house was every clean and everything was in excellent condition. Great interior design, traditional yet modern. It's very close to the train station, mall, and many eating places.
People working for management company speak English and menu/instructions in the house are also in English. We called the management company after realizing we left something in the house after checking out. The cleaning crew took it back to the office and put it on hold for us.
The only improvement I would suggest to the management company is to provide guest a ride or taxi service between the office and the house. We were sent away with map after checking in and the house is really hard to find.
- Verified traveler (6/5): management - knowledge/need of international customer is very poor.
Use of JR-Pass, need of taxi services etc.,
