The only down side potentially could be the parking situation but we managed to get parked you just could be potentially blocked in for a period of time if you was really unlucky

Irfan (3/5): Disappointing - We’ve stayed here before and previously found it to be good value for money, which is why we chose to return. However, this time our experience was disappointing in a few areas. The lady at reception was not welcoming and came across as unaccommodating, particularly when we questioned the unexpected parking fee. We were unaware that parking charges had been introduced, and it would have been helpful to have this clearly communicated in advance. Additionally, we came for a relaxing break, so we were a bit surprised to be asked to select a specific time for breakfast, which added an element of scheduling we weren’t expecting during what was meant to be a laid-back stay.

Paul (8/5): A lovely hotel but beware the excessive parking charge - Great location with very friendly and helpful staff. Very good breakfast choice with a range of options on the breakfast menu. Room was very comfortable. The additional £10 parking charge was unwelcome and excessive given the nightly room rate. I thought this was exploiting paying customers. Room was excessively warm with no means of adjusting the temperature. The fan provided was ridiculously large and noisy and could not be used. Lacked thought and practicality.

Dr Peter (8/5): As a four day break from London, this was a very satisfactory solution. - The room was very comfortable. Breakfast was very good-- both full English and Continental. Location was very close to shops and restaurants The shower control taps were confusing. (No explanation was provided in the room)

Tuan (8/5): Recommended - good location and friendly - Very friendly staff, comfortable, clean room and very convenience place within walking distance to restaurants and the lake. However, there are two things that need to improve 1) should have allocated parking for each room 2) we stayed in room #5 which is above the breakfast area the smell of burning toasts and burning smoke got into the room in the morning, should have better extractor fan in the kitchen area.
Thomas (8/5): Very good stay and good value for money. - The property was very central and close to all amenities. All areas of the hotel were very clean and well looked after. The cooked breakfast menu was excellent but the continental breakfast was limited. The rooms were not air conditioned and the weather was exceptionally hot and fan in room food little too cool to down. Also leaving the windows open meant hearing the noise of the passing traffic.
Matthew (6/5): Uncomfortable room and not the cleanest. - The location is very good. Enjoyed the style of the suite we had (Seduction suite). Breakfast was good and the staff were nice. The bathroom / toilet has glass windows and a glass door therefore you can see in it. Not what you want when going to the bathroom. The heat in the room was overwhelming and far too hot. The room needs either permanent AC or a portable AC unit. The room also had dead flies all over the dressing table. Very expensive for what it is.
Verified traveler (8/5): Great location! - Great hotel with beautiful food. Very clean and staff were brilliant. Perfectly situated next to centre of town and close to lake. Only downsides were having to pay for parking because we booked away from their own site and room has no air con, just a very loud fan you can’t sleep with on. Also, very loud creaking of floor boards above our room every time someone moved.

Karen (9/5): Relaxing mini break in lovely location. - We arrived to a very warm welcome. Managed to park right outside the door. Hotel is in a great location. Breakfasts were lovely especially the waffles and all staff we met were warm, friendly and incredibly helpful. Not sure if we just had noisy neighbours or if the walls were a little thin but we could hear them talking, heard their TV over ours and heard their snoring at night.

The staff were friendly and helpful. the location was excellent, only a few minutes walk and you were in Bowness The room was on the top floor, so difficult to get you luggage upstairs. The bathroom was huge, however the shower could do with upgrading s the brass fitting were starting to show green colouring. the parking was a bit of a pain, in the days we stayed there we couldn't park on the flat part at the front, so had to park behind which meant more steps.

We loved the special touches like the vanity area and the under floor heating and the tv on the wall in the bathroom. It was the best hotel that we have ever stayed in and it was my boyfriend’s birthday as well. We will definitely be coming back. I loved everything, it was perfect.

The Seduction Suite was fantastic and the addition of Breakfast served at a time to suit ourselves was a great extra as otherwise we maybe wouldn’t have bothered. Would definitely stay again and hopefully will look into the Hideout house next time. The discount in the Fizzy Tarté for us was a great bonus too as we spent far too much money in there, but when it’s so much fun, along with a discount then who cares ! It was our Christmas present to ourselves so what a fabulous start to Christmas.

The only issue was the shower over the bath was a bit challenging. However our original suite had a walk in shower but the two flights of stairs were to challenging for my husband who walks with a crutch. If I had booked directly with the hotel I could have discussed our requirements with them. However the staff did everything they could to help.

Short distance to all attractions with plenty of places to eat from close by. The Cranleigh is very welcoming and well ran, breakfast choice is good and done a great standard.
