• Nicolas (9/5): - Très bon séjour à l’hôtel Orchid Villa. Hôtel agréable, au calme, légèrement à l’écart de la ville et de l’agitation. La vue depuis les villas est superbe et l’accueil est vraiment chaleureux. Parfait pour un séjour de 2 nuits. Je recommande !

• Marijana (8/5): - Smješta je izvan centra grada, okružen prirodom. Kandy kao grad je malo kaotičan pa je ovo super mjesto za ljude koji ne vole gužvu, a centar grada nije daleko tuk tuk-om, nekih 15-20 min vožnje.
• Bhavik (1/5): Absolute worst customer service I’ve ever witnessed. - Clean rooms. Fresh dinner made on site to suit dietary needs. Without doubt the WORST service we’ve ever experienced GLOBALLY. The owner’s wife is the most rude, unqualified, arrogant, unbothered ‘manager’ I have ever met in my life. She didn’t have a clue about anything and when we tried to resolve a dispute she panicked and forced us to leave the property on short notice. It’s quite evident from Google reviews that this is a recurring pattern when she does not know how to resolve disputes. In fact we were so happy that we left this place so thank you for panicking and getting us to leave :) Breakfast was atrocious. Pool was filthy and the owner tried to lie and state that the filter was always on. Cold showers One never forgets the standard of customer service and this lady’s customer service is non-existent.

Ik was op de fiets. Die kon binnenstad. Echt een aanrader en hele fijne plek. Niets dan lof. Absoluut geen klachten op opmerkingen.

• Ketan Kamat (9/5): Comfortable stay in Kandy in Homely Orchid Villa - Orchid villa Kandy is a boutique hotel near Kandy city. Its a bit outside the core city area which makes the stay peaceful. The property is extremely well maintained with a small but nice pool. Rooms are comfortable, clean and especially the bed was very comforting. The place feels like living in a private villa and has a homely feel to it. We stayed in the pool facing room which is part of the villa (other rooms are further up and detatched from villa). Only watch out is that it does not have elevators and the climb up from the road is pretty steep and can be tiring for older people. They serve good sri lankan food, but options are a bit limited. Overall our stay was as per expectations, staff was very attentive and polite and we would love to come back and stay here.

Le petit déjeuner Sri lankais était très bon et copieux. Le dîner manquait de saveur par rapport à ce que nous avions goûté auparavant. Beaucoup de bruit d'animaux la nuit et je trouve le logement un peu cher pour la qualité.

• ella (10/5): Highly recommend! - Staff are so lovely, provided a welcome drink and organised tuk tuks when needed as the property is about a 10-15 mins journey down to Kandy. Can order room service if you would like. Room was clean, huge bed and has a great view of the green mountains.

Le personnel est très accueillant et aux petits soins. Super petit déjeuner Sri Lankais. Loin du centre donc prévoir un peu de budget pour le tuk tuk.

• Aurélie (7/5): Quelle déception - L'originalité du logement sur pilotis et sa vue, le copieux petit-déjeuner et le chicken cordon bleu, délicieux ! La chambre était sale à notre arrivée (toiles d'araignée et le sol pas nettoyé), la série de marches interminables pour atteindre le logement et pas assez d'eau chaude pour 2 douches. Puis, la piscine (froide) donne sur un hangar en pitieux état que nous ne voyons sur aucune photo évidemment. Clairement déçue du rapport qualité/ prix !

Upon arrival, they adjusted our booking so that the three of us could stay in one room instead of two rooms for two people. The view from the room was beautiful. When our feet hurt, they offered us samahan balm. The breakfast was a little weak. In the morning, monkeys were jumping around on the roof, but it wasn't enough to wake us up. There were many stairs leading to the room, which is not suitable after climbing Adams Peak:)))

• Fernando (10/5): Five stars all the way - We visited Orchid villa and stayed for 2 nights. The place was exactly as it was advertised. The reception boy Chamara was very polite and helpful along with all other staff. We got the chance to meet the owner, Mr Chaminda who has come from abroad for a short stay and he was a very friendly, calm gentleman. The food was exceptional and worth it for money. There is a small clean swimming pool where you can relax. Over all it was one of my best stays so far. Five stars all the way.

On pourrait se prendre pour une princesse Disney à boire son cafe avec les singes, les oiseaux, les écureuils et les geeko! La famille qui s'occupe de ce lieu est incroyable, toujours souriante, aux petits soins! Mention spéciale pour le fils, qui insiste pour porter les affaires tout en haut dans notre chambre! Juste un avertissement! On est un peu loin de Kandy, donc visiter à pied comme je l'ai fais, ou par Tuk Tuk! Les chalets sont un peu hauteur, mais un peu de grimpette ne fait pas de mal! Qualité du wifi inexistante mais quand on est sur sa terrasse avec la vue, on s'en fout! Je recommande totalement! Merci de m'avoir fait passer un super moment!

La posizione tranquilla anche se un pochino fuori mano ma comunque con un tuk tuk arrivi in centro in 10 minuti. Abbiamo usufruito della piscina. Il prezzo leggermente più alto rispetto agli altri alloggi dove siamo stati ma forse perchè siamo capitati nel loro periodo di festa. nulla!

• Dilley (4/5): - Orchid Villa was disappointing. The triple room was dirty, it had mould on the wall, and a crack in the shower cubicle base that let grime spill through into the shower. The food was also mediocre. We felt that there was a language barrier, which made it difficult to communicate. As such, we didn’t feel that we could easily raise these issues. This hotel has huge potential, but it just feels very tired and dated, unlike the photos on the website.

• Joanne (5/5): Zou het niet aanraden met kinderen - Het zwembad Nou eerlijk gezegd zijn de foto's misleidend, er staat een groot onaf gebouw die het uitzicht volledig blokkeert. Er was schimmel in de badkamer en daarbij heeft het gebouw vele stijle trappen, die gevaarlijk waren met onze kinderen. De kamers zijn niet groot genoeg voor de koffers, die van ons stonden op het balkon en tot slot was er post voor ons gekomen wat de hotelmanager zelf heeft geopend.

• Nerea (10/5): - Tuvimos una estancia muy agradable y tranquila. La habitación era completa, estaba limpia, tenía aire acondicionado y nevera, además de un gran cuarto de baño. Tenía luz natural y no se oían ruidos. El persona fue muy agradable y el desayuno también. Nos alojamos en otro lugar durante nuestra estancia en Kandy pero no nos gustó tanto como este. La única pega pero que no supuso ningún problema fue que la ducha no tragaba bien el agua. Las hamacas de la piscina deben ser renovadas.

• Mathilda Amelie (9/5): Alles top. - Das Deluxe Doppelzimmer, im Haupthaus gelegen, war ein sehr großes, gut ausgestattetes und komfortables Zimmer. Auch das Bad war sehr geräumig und gut ausgestattet. Alles war sauber. Leckeres Frühstück und optional Abendessen möglich. Sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Personal. Der Pool ist wunderbar für eine kurze Erfrischung. Lage etwas abseits vom Trubel der Stadt und daher schön ruhig.

Le patron était très sympathique et extrêmement serviable. Il nous a également conseillé une chauffeur de tuk tuk qui nous accompagne pendant tout notre séjour. • Wout (6/5): Zorg dat je een chalet boekt ipv een kamer. - Vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel! Kamers waren schoon. Deze accomodatie ligt buiten het centrum van Kandy, dus lekker rustig. -Uitzicht vanuit het hoofdgebouw (er staat een bouwval voor dit hotel). Let op: beter een chalet te boeken ivm mooie uitzicht en tuin. -bed was aan nieuw matras toe -douche water liep slecht weg.
• BCadete (7/5): Family Trip - The view from the top bungalows is great. The staff doesn't speak the best English but they do try hard to understand, make you welcome, and support any of your requests. They were also flexible with adjusting the booking for our big family group. The location is not central which is good as you can relax without the fuss of the city centre. This place is not for everyone. The view from the pool and first-floor rooms is not the best due to a building ( unfinished construction). However, if you can go past that, the pool and rooms are actually quite nice. Communication is not easy, so if you also don't speak English well and are not patient, it may be a frustrating experience. If you book the bungalows, be advised that there are 150+ steps to climb ( however, for young people, that will not be an issue, + the view is worth it)

• Lavinia (6/5): Mooie locatie - De locatie was goed, Kandy is prima te bereiken en het ligt heel mooi op de heuvel. We hadden een cabin op de heuvel met prachtig uitzicht. Ook ‘s avonds met alle lampjes, ziet de tuin er prachtig uit. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk. Het huisje kan wel een opknapbeurt gebruiken, er is helaas wat achterstallig onderhoud. Ook hadden we last van grote rode mieren. Voor een verblijf van 2 nachten was het prettig geweest als er tussendoor werd schoongemaakt, dat was helaas niet het geval.
