Guest Reviews
- Susan (10/5): - The property was excellent, clean and tidy. The bathroom was impressive. Ample parking and a quiet location
- Annie (10/5): - Bindy was very welcoming. Breakfast was fantastic and the bed had the softest sheets - the best sleep I have had in ages!
- Amelia (10/5): Sual Farm B&B - Our hosts were extremely welcoming.
The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable.
- Mark (10/5): - Great spot in a pretty village. Lovely countryside and neighbouring villages surrounding. Secure parking. Handy for Gloucester. Reasonably priced. Good pub nearby.
Friendly host. Very nice breakfast - served early at my request. Cute dogs.
Room was charming and well equipped, although it could benefit from the one thing I couldn't find...a fan. Very warm in the elevated annexe in the summer.
Overall, excellent.
- Paul (10/5): - Very welcoming and friendly host, very clean and comfortable accommodation and an excellent breakfast.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Lovely place to stay with lovely owner. The annex is in need of refurbishment and the bed was very hard but the area and facilities in the accommodation were great.
- Neil (8/5): Nice spa bath - Good stay but was spoilt by the fact there was no Internet and the tv reception was very poor.
The en-suite had a huge spa bath which was great fun however the bedroom was smaller than the en-suite .
- Tim (10/5): - Charming and attentive host, who made me feel welcome.
Outstanding accommodation and breakfast. My room and bathroom was tastefully appointed, spotless and comfortable.
- Rebekah (10/5): Incredible B&B - Incredible, friendly and helpful staff. Really lovely room with jacuzzi bath. Great breakfast.
The bed was a little bit uncomfortable.
- Emily (10/5): - Beautiful location and great on site parking! Owners were so friendly and breakfast each morning was very tasty! Great access to Cheltenham! Would definitely stay again!
- Chris (10/5): - Its combination of rustic and modern.
- Jackie (10/5): Two wonderful nights at Saul farmhouse - A very special two night stay. We were beautifully looked after by Bindy. The room and bathroom exceeded all expectations, and the central heating was very efficient and the breakfasts were wonderful.
- Eugene (10/5): - Property was very comfortable and the owner was very helpful, friendly and accommodating. An excellent location to get a good feel for the local community. Our room was clean and newly renovated. Beautiful en-suite bath/shower.
- Shirley (10/5): - Very friendly host, comfortable room with very good bathroom facilities.
Two very good pubs nearby for food.
- Verified traveler (10/5): A comfortable and friendly B&B - The host kindly stayed up late to allow me a very late check in due to work. The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious and filling. I would definitely recommend.
- Emily (10/5): Beautiful b&b! - Absolutely beautiful b&b, we had 4 of the rooms and each one was stunning and unique. Bindy, the host, was absolutely fantastic. I’d highly recommend this b&b.
- Jackie (10/5): - What a great place to stay, clean and comfortable, Bindy was a great hostess and cooked up a beautiful breakfast for us, thank you so much.
- Alan (10/5): - The location was great lovely surroundings the hosts were friendly and very helpful
- Phil (10/5): Saul farm - Stayed for the night for work , room was comfortable, enjoyed the Jacuzzi bath tub and the use of the nespresso machine
- Jane (10/5): Saul Farm - We were made to feel very welcome & comfortable. A lovely breakfast.
- Paul (10/5): Great stay - Great little place for our stopover. Will visit again
- Jolanda (10/5): - I had a warm welcome (from both owner and her two delightful dogs!). My room was large and beautifully decorated with a very large and tasteful bathroom.
I had an excellent sleep in the very comfortable bed, and a good breakfast, cooked to order. I would definitely stay here again.
- Adrian (8/5): - We had a lovely stay with Bindi and Rob who were both very friendly and have two lovely dogs. The farmhouse is a five minute drive from a good pub and five minutes walk from the canal. We slept in the annex which is separate from the main building. The annex is on two floors with the bedroom upstairs and the bathroom downstairs but with no doors in-between so it did get very damp in the room and we also had a lot of mosquitoes one evening. The bathroom has a great jacuzzi bath but you do need to shower sitting down. We enjoyed our stay but found it a little overpriced.
- Glyn (8/5): Lovely B&B near canal - The location was ideal for us as it was close to the Sharpness/ Gloucester canal which was beautiful for evening walks. It was also close to Tetbury (Bindy, the owner, suggested we visit and we're pleased we did) and to the Elemental sculpture park near Cirencester.
The bedroom and bathroom (which was huge!) was clean and comfortable. The only thing that would have made this better was if there had been a couple of chairs to sit in as there was plenty of room and it would have been nice to sit and have a cup of tea when we got in from our walks.
The breakfast was delicious and there was plenty- Bindy offered fruit, yoghurt, full English cooked and croissants!
The only negative which I have to mention is that we book places that do not allow dogs and Bindy has two dogs which are part of the family and therefore if you are frightened of dogs, have a phobia or an allergy you may wish to be aware. The dogs were both well behaved but the 'barky' one did bark both nights and wake us, and the 'quiet' one did want to join us for breakfast but Bindy was very aware and did move him quickly.
It was a lovely stay and somewhere we would recommend.
- Mandy (10/5): - Family friendly farmhouse with wonderful hosts.
- Deborah (10/5): Excellent stay - We had a gorgeous couple of days at Saul Farm, we were in the annexe with the double jacuzzi bath. The room was lovely with excellent facilities. The host Bindy was very welcoming and friendly and gave us some fabulous recommendations for restaurants to eat at, as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. The breakfasts were delicious. Would totally recommend it.
- Ashley (10/5): B & B as it should be - Clean, comfortable room, attentive host and pubs within a walking distance. Delicious breakfast in the morning
- Adrian (10/5): One night stay February 2020 - A one night stay. lovely location (wish i could have seen more).
I stayed in the annex which is on two floors, top for sleeping and relaxing and the lower of washing toilet etc.
Bindy was an excellent host with the breakfast being an ideal way to start the day.
- Lowendo (10/5): Lovely accommodation, delicious breakfast! - Had a lovely weekend away at Saul Farm. Bindy was very welcoming and the breakfasts were a highlight of the weekend. The self contained farm building we stayed in was immaculate, warm, well furnished, and had a mini jacuzzi!
The location is great for walking and driving to nearby attractions. Highly recommended!
- W R Whittington (10/5): Great location with everything you need - I had a great stay here, very quiet and peaceful in the evening and the fresh fruit salad and cooked breakfast was good quality and set me up for the day.
- Jonathan (10/5): We recommend Saul Farm - Excellent return visit. Bindy provides a genuine welcome. The rooms are very comfortable with many thoughtful touches. The breakfasts are generous and well cooked. Farmhouse setting is very relaxing.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I got to meet the dogs and the horses which i was really pleased about. Bindy was so welcoming. The room was so beautiful, it really felt like a treat
- Samantha (10/5): - A really lovely stay and very welcoming. Breakfast was excellent.
- David (10/5): Excellent stay - Had an lovely stay. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. Excellent breakfast. Can't fault it.
- VIVIENNE (10/5): 5* Severn Bore and 5* accomodation to match. - Everything about our stay was superb from the very warm welcome and goodbyes from the charming Bindy to the wonderful annexe.
It was spotlessly clean, wonderfully decorated with the softest bedding ensuring a sound nights sleep.
There was also a very clever kitchen unit with hob, sink etc. meaning that one could make tea and coffee and I guess, if one was staying longer, some simple meals.
No need for that for us as the breakfasts were filling and delicious and the local pubs served tasty food.
Then of course...the jacuzzi. What luxury after three days of walking the Severn Way to soak ones weary feet and legs to some musical accompaniment.
We had planned our walk to coincide with the Severn Bore so this beautiful farmhouse is in the ideal position.
- Chris (10/5): - A lovely B and B. The house is full of character and tastefully furnished with lots of TLC. Some lovely views across some open countryside and close to the canal and River Severn.
Excellent host, lovely clean, spacious room with a very comfy bed. Tastefully furnished. Excellent breakfast. I did consider a Travelodge a few miles away but I clearly made the right choice. Excellent and would use again and recommend to friends and family without hesitation.
- Jane (10/5): - Beautifully appointed room. Very comfortable.
- Chris (10/5): Lovely quiet stay - We had a great stay for two nights when visiting for a family wedding near by. The house and rooms were lovely and clean and homely with great character. The room was large and well appointed. The location is in a village but still quiet and rural. Only shortcoming was no shower over the bath in the separate bathroom, although having a bath was a nice change!
- Michael (10/5): - Well presented property, friendly owner. Excellent breakfast.
The accommodation we stayed in was excellent for able bodied, however steep flight of stairs into the room and one internal staircase down to the bathroom.
- JANET (10/5): - Lovely stay, lovely room with a very comfortable bed and a superb bath, the breakfast was of the best quality and served over 45 minutes, a very sociable event, the hosts were very nice indeed
- Karen (10/5): Very comfortable room and a warm welcome - All wonderful- the location, the warm welcome from the owners and their dogs. I stayed in the annex building, with was super comfortable and clean. Breakfast was excellent. I would definitely stay there again
- Verified traveler (10/5): Comfortable cosy retreat - Very peaceful annex in quiet village - perfect for a weekend get-away
- Wendy (2/5): Go elsewhere!!!! - Booked this for my husband for business trip. There was no wifi as advertised problem with being disconnected by BT . TV was not working and had to wait till husband got home to get it fixed. So the thought he would suck it up and have a nice relaxing bath. It smelled of raw sewage and I couldn't get the smell off him, there is no separate shower so could not even rinse off. He felt ill the next day and is now in hospital with an infection. When this was pointed out they were aware of this and he asked to be moved and was told that he would be better off in this room. He thought about moving but it was already late. Contacted hotels, com who contacted them for a refund or compensation and they were not interested as the booking was complete.
- Richard (8/5): Pleasant for an odd night - Friendly and good breakfast. Room well equipped but rather barren. Difficult to find, needs better signage.
- Russell (8/5): - Very nice location and welcoming friendly people.
Would recommend ;-)
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good stay - Great nights sleep, lovely room - would have preferred a solo table at breakfast rather than having to share with other guests. Lovely breakfasts.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Lovely Breakfast and nice rural location yet close enough to the M5 for easy access .
- Nigel (10/5): Get away from it all. - Beautiful accommodation in a lovely setting, hosts were so welcoming and accommodating - and a wonderful breakfast. I would highly recommend this to anyone.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent, friendly stay - Our stay was brilliant. The room was clean, bright and had everything we needed for a weekend. Including a mini kitchen, (a hob, sink, fridge and freezer). There was also a jacuzzi bath, this was a perfect added extra to our stay. The hosts were so friendly and provided everything we wanted, the breakfast was lovely and cooked fresh. I'd recommend anyone to stay here and hope to come back.
- Matthew (10/5): Lovely place - Really pleasant place to stay, the host and breakfast were lovely.
- heather (10/5): first class accomodation. - We stayed here for one night on our way to Cornwall. We were welcomed with by very friendly hosts. Excellent accomodation and first class breakf. Will certain stay again if in the Gloucester area. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.
- Jennifer (8/5): Lovely quiet location - I had a single night stay here as I was working very close by.
The most difficult thing about the stay was actually finding the property in the dark - but once i got there i was very happy with my booking. The room and ensuite was very spacious and while the room design and decor of the room is simple the ensuite is well thought out (having a separate shower and bath is a nice touch). I did also like that the room had a small fridge so there was fresh milk to go in my coffee (such a simple thing, but it makes the coffee so much nicer than with UHT milk), I have to admit to having to move the fridge in to the bathroom overnight though as it was a smidge too noisy.
Breakfast in the morning was lovely, there was a full english breakfast on offer - however I opted to have fruit, cereal followed by poached eggs on toast.
- Heather (8/5): Jacuzzi bath! - Very comfortable, lovely big jacuzzi bath, nice breakfast.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Not ideal if you want privacy - Security was very poor, my bedroom door did not have a lock on it. As a woman travelling alone I found this a bit disconcerting. I pushed the radiator and case behind the door.
The bathroom had a large bath but no shower attachment, making hair washing a challenge.
Their was no shaver point to charge my electric toothbrush.
No instructions regarding fire escape and as I was in the attic this was rather worrying. There was only a small window in the attic.
Breakfast was lovely.
- Adam (10/5): Excellent - Would highly recommend
