- Judy (10/5): A perfect country getaway - Maria, who is front of house, was so welcoming and later, in the dining room she tirelessly looked after us and all the other guests. The food was fantastic and I understand her husband is head chef, Joseph Colman. The rooms were attractive and very comfortable with lovely bathrooms. I would certainly recommend this as a wonderful getaway.
- Jacqui (10/5): What a find - So thrilled to have found this little gem. Needed an overnight stay near Monmouth, we stayed on Boxing Day evening, with our dog. Beautiful room , We ate in the bar, food first class. I imagine we will pay another visit if in the area.
- Michael (10/5): - High-end country pub with excellent restaurant, the perfect weekend get away slot. Lovely staff, good service and near to a real-life castle. Although I recommend avoiding the room with a bathroom upstairs - cool initially but ultimately annoying in the middle of the night.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Beautiful rural setting in verdant valley - This was a surprise overnight birthday visit for my best friend and the hotel surpassed itself in fulfilling all the requirements I had requested. The food was first class and interestingly presented, whilst the service was warm and discreet. Really comfortable beds in understated elegance with magnificent views and wonderful ambience.
