- colin (6/5): I enjoyed my stay. - Hak the manager was fantastic. Excellent service. Very helpful. Hak will help you in any way possible. If you are looking for a budget hotel with great service I recommend Hak Boutique. I noticed the pictures on booking.com are very out of date. We could not sit in the sun around the pool as the trees have fully grown since the pictures were taken. We had planned to spend some time relaxing at the pool. If you are planning to get up and go out every day then this may not be a problem.
- barrie (6/5): The Reality - Staff are friendly No TV I did ask prior to arrival but no answer pictures still shows TV. Cleaning is on request I didn't know that in the beginning. Very rarely is there hot water. First day there the jug blew up and caught fire so I had a fire in the room just as well I managed to throw it outside I did sustain a small burn the owner Hak was not too concerned There are no smoke detectors in the resort You pretty much have to do everything for yourself There is a restaurant but no attraction they don't turn on the fans or lights I only saw 1 person frequentl it I used it twice in a month. Staff are nice but the place is in disrepair if it were in Australia it would be shut down safety issues no maintenance I don't think they get many customers There are many small jobs need fixing Power ponts hanging off the wall Bathroom floods Toilet has a mind of its own No attention to detail I would say they could fix the issues in a week It needs a new vision It's sold on current pictures which are out of date Very cleaver photography pictures make things look so big but in reality there not As I said staff are friendly and nice

- Nicole (10/5): - Really enjoyed Hak and his family. The hotel was about 1 km from the city and only a dollar or two to get into town. But it was nice and quiet and away from crazy pub Street. We had a fantastic time and the hotel driver Joy helped us get everywhere we needed to go. If you have kids definitely check out the water park. It's clean and really fun! We had a fantastic time at the temples and the hero. Rats and the botanical garden and would really recommend this hotel as both the driver and the owners of the hotel are Cambodian and speak excellent English. Also there was excuse me free water to refill water bottles with and The prices of the meals at the hotel were excellent, only a few dollars and the food was delicious. Highly recommend! We will be back!
- Mark (10/5): Wonderful stay - Hal and his family were amazing hosts and looked after me (as I was ill) for the week I stayed there. The room was spacious and clean. Food great and priced well. And the pool was the perfect medicine.
- AdamS625 (10/5): Unbeatable - What can I say? There is so much to fit into a review. Our family stayed for almost a month and we felt so at home, we never wanted to leave. Hak and Ming make everyone feel amazingly welcome and you quickly feel like part of a big, warm family along with the other guests. It became a community for our kids and every day was such a pleasure. It's quiet (out of the middle of town) - perfect for a family and small enough to retain a friendly atmosphere. Everything is personal and full of pride. Hak look's after the grounds with love and care and Ming's cooking is the best we had in Siem Reap and at such a reasonable price. The pool is bliss on a hot day, just to sit and read or pass the time with other customers, share stories and advice. And then you're a quick tuktuk ride from the most amazing temples and history we've ever seen! I doesn't get any better than this!
- Asami (10/5): - Beautiful hotel managed by Mr. And Mrs. Hak. The room was clean and Mrs. Hak was very kind, she helped me talking with tuktuk driver when he got lost. We need a ride from a city to the hotel, but worth it because you can wake up with the voices of birds and animals.

- MisiCork (10/5): Beautiful days in Siem Reap and Angkor - I spent two and a half weeks in Asia recently and 5 days of that in Siem Reap at Hak's Boutique Hotel. it was an amazing experience. The garden is like a little paradise with beautiful tropical trees, birds, lizards and a pool to cool down. I loved every minute being there. The room and bathroom were clean and big and the whole of the Hotel is excellent for relaxing there after the exhausting visits in the temples of Angkor. Hak is a very helpful and nice guy, sent Lucky the tuktuk driver to pick me up from the airport. From that point I went everywhere using the services of Lucky. Thanks guys! I will definitely come back. And Hak! The plants have survived the trip back home, now I jut hope they will survive the weather here too. :)

Also Lucky, the tuk tuk driver from the house is a friendly and good man, he brings you everywhere you want too go in a safe way !! Greetings and ti'll the next time !!
- Xhara71 (10/5): Great value for money, really helpful owner - First the positives. Room was clean with a comfortable bed, and the shower had plenty of hot water. The breakfast though simple was tasty and there’s a good range of dishes for the evening meal, all priced around $4. However the biggest plus is the owner Hak who is ever so helpful, arranging pretty well anything you need. He was also up for my 5.30am departure so he could give me a takeaway breakfast. The only negative is it’s a little out of town in a new area which means a lot of Tuk Tuk/taxi drivers struggle to find it. It is however accurately placed on google maps which is very handy. Overall I would stay again if I returned to Siem Reap

- macw811 (10/5): A little slice of calm in the chaos of S.E. Asia. - Don't worry about the location being outside of the city centre. A short $1 tuk-tuk ride drops you right in the middle of the city, any time of the day or night. What you get in exchange for the need to take a cheap tuk-tuk into town, is a lovely hotel, with a lush tropical garden and a fantastic pool. This makes it the perfect place to relax away from the chaos of the city. The rooms are clean, and the on-site restaurant serves delicious food, cooked by a popular YouTube presenter, who specialises in cooking Cambodian food in the traditional manner. The cherry on top, is the fact that the owner, Hak, and his entire family, are all such lovely, friendly and helpful people. Whatever you need to make your visit to Siem Reap perfect, Hak and his team can assist you with.

The room was spacious and comfortable, clean. the owner Hak and his family were so helpful and awesome, they arrange our airport pickup and tours. Haks wife cook fantastic meal and we ate here most of the evening. Swimming pool and garden was great and relaxing after a long hot days out doing temples. we would highly recommend Hak BoutiqueHotel to anyone.

- 19ejdk (10/5): Wonderful Boutique hotel - The Boutique hotel is located in a peaceful and nice area. We really enjoyed the atmosphere at the hotel. We can relax and have privately time to our self. The hotel room was clean and spacious. The most important things about this hotel is Hak and his family, they have been very kind and friendly to us all time we stayed. Hak even personally took us back to the airport on our check out day. We felt so welcome and safe staying at Hak Boutique. We highly recomend this hotel.
- 900angelinav (10/5): Restful, friendly, most helpful - This place is a little haven. It is not far out of town! A tuk tuk is always available to get you around. Hak and his family are delightful and nothing is too much to ask for. Hak will do his best to accommodate. I stayed in a four star hotel in Phnom Penh and it doesn't compare. Hak's is not as fancy but it is clean, comfortable, and a happy friendly place where you can relax in peace. Cannot recommend enough.

- sandieb507 (10/5): Awesome place to stay - I could rave about the room and the amenities but the best part of my 3 week stay was the Manager/owner, Hak and his family. His dedication to his guests is second to none. He helps organise day trips and any other activities that you are wanting to do. He has his own tuk tuk drivers so no hassles with negotiating price. If you are after a beautiful, peaceful place to land at the end of the day this is the place for you. One last thing - the meals are amazing. Can recommend the red curry!
- froggybraveheart (10/5): A little piece of heaven - This was the last stop for me after a month of traveling. It was like a little piece of heaven. It is situated outside of town but this was not an issue at all. There is a shuttle into town if you are inclined. But, I was happy to relax here at the end of a long day visiting temples. The pool is surrounded by a beautiful garden and is very peaceful. The room was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed and my own bathroom. The shower was nice with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was included and there were plenty of options available for lunch and dinner. Service was fast and the meals were delicious. The family who owns and operates the hotel are lovely people. They speak English well and are very welcoming. I really enjoyed my stay here.

- Bridal (10/5): It Felt Like Familt - I enjoyed being picked up at the airport by a Tuk Tuk driver. The service is free. It really is off road and is challenging to have walking access to the surrounding community but beyond that issue everything was amazing. Transportation is easily arranged to any destination. The food is very very good. The free breakfast is very generous. The staff treat all like family. Anything asked of them within reason is done. I stayed for 7 days and enjoyed each one. If you are looking for an upscale place; this is not the space. If you are looking for a nice experience with great customer service, great food, a family atmosphere, and a less touristy stay, this is the space.

Room was beautiful and spacious with a good size balcony, the pool area in the garden was lovely and the breakfasts were splendid. - Bernard (10/5): Clean hotel, nice pool - Nice hotel . About 2km out of town. Hotel offers a moped lift into town for 2usd which was helpful. Pool is lovely, very clean. Some mosquitos, especially from the garden, but they didnt seem tobe interested in me. Hotel organised a tuk-tuk for angkor wat which was helpful too.
- dorsetdame (10/5): Great stay - We stayed for 3nights . To be honest when we booked it we didn't realise it was a way out of town. At first we thought this would be a problem , but it was far from it . Lovely quiet relaxing location away from the busy town just right after a busy day . The hotel is well kept with beautiful grounds and pool. Hak is on hand most of the time to help or advise. He speaks excellent English. Breakfast was plentiful , with good choices , and could be taken in the garden , which we did each day. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending a stay at Haks.

The rooms are in excellent condition, with a fridge and coffee/tea making facilities. The only thing missing was a mosquito net, so I did get a few bites.

Nice hotel w good heated water and a swimming pool for the kids to unwind. Breakfast included which includes either eggs w baguette or pancakes. The in house restaurant serves decent food too. They have a big room to accommodate my family of 6. Win !

- libbyplease01 (10/5): Honestly really great - It is a family run business and they will take excellent care of you. The rooms are lovelyand really clean (got a free upgrade) the pool is great, suitable for kids as well. We arrived at night and were very concerned because it is about a 10 minute tuk tuk ride out of town but do not be concerned, it is in a really pretty area and the staff will provide you with your own tuk tuk driver to do all the temples, drunk home from the pub or wherever you want to go. Highly recommend!!
- AlexanderWorldTravel (10/5): My best stay in Cambodia - Staying at Mr Hak's is like staying at a good friend, Except that it is a friend with a nice hotel in a tropical country! The hotel is large enough to provide all facilities and small enough to care.... a real family business where you get custom personal treatment! Perfect for a quiet comfortable stay, lovely swimming pool (with drinks and food served if you like). I alo like the location, away from the busy, noisy centre. Great rooftop terras where you can see the sunset too. I visited in januari and since then passed by two more times, each time I was in a different room, they were all great (groundfloor at the pool, first floor front, and the suite which I can also recommend) Another advantage that is hard to find elsewhere is that Mr Hak speaks perfect english.He genuinly wants to help. The restaurant is run by the family members, good fried rice, curry and noodles. And dont forget the Wifi coming from an internet fiber connection...

Say hi to your wife & love to your new born - We were with a group of friends and family after a wedding in Phuket. Mr Hak's guesthouse was quite comfortable with garden and swimming pool - perfect for fun and beer ! We would recommend. Breakfast, Lunch and dinner can be catered for with notice - good food !
