• Leoné (9/5): - Beautiful I booked my stay just before midnight as my original accommodation was terrible and I could not stay there. The reception would not give me a room because I could not provide a proof of payment even though I showed them the payment made to booking.com and the confirmation nr and mail. They insisted that I pay again. After about 30 min and me refusing to pay again (and s higher rate) they gave in. After all this they informed me they might not even have a room as they are busy renovating. After all that frustration they finally gave me a room.

• Frederick (6/5): We had a pleasant stay. The place has a lot of charm, but feels a little run down and tired. - I enjoyed the spacious bedroom and bathroom. The air conditioning was working well. I suggest that you put an alternative on the bed, such as a cotton blanket in the very hot summer months. Loved the charm of the old manor house, however I think you need to start to freshen up a little. It is in need of new/clean carpets and a fresh layer of paint in the bedroom and bathroom. Loved the gardens, the views and the charm of the place. We had a pleasant stay, but the breakfast can really be upgraded. I got the impression that the confectionery was not fresh. The cold meats and salmon also looked dried out and it should have been kept cold in some way during the extreme heat. There were no staff present on Sunday morning during our breakfast and we were left to our own devices. I would advise that someone be available to pour tea/coffee. There were no teapots in sight.

Sehr gutes Restaurant, Hotel reservierte dort Platz fuer mich und ich bekam mein Essen viel frueher als andere Gäste die scnon laenger dort waren. Das Interieur des Hotels ist noch aus dem vor vor letzten Jahrhundert. Das weiss man, wenn man dort Bucht. Jedoch waren im Wasserhahn im Bad grüne Algen ähnliche Ablagerungen. Das Fenster ließ sich dort nicht oeffnen. Es waren nur ein paar Gäste da. Angebot Bar und sonstiges mittelmäßig. Fruehstueck auf Anforderung, schnell und schmackhaft. Wuerde sicher nicht mehr dorthingehen, alles zu verstaubt. Zu dem Zeitpunkt waren in Paarl wenig freie Zimmer - warum dann das Hotel so wenig Gäste hatte..... 😉

Zum Frühstück wird ein umfangreiches, feines Buffet angeboten.k Das Zimmer ist geräumig und die Fenster im Bad und im Schlafzimmer lassen sich öffnen, damit die Luft zirkuliert. Auch die Klimaanlage funktioniert einwandfrei. Im Restaurant zur Seite des Hotels isst man vorzüglich. Um einen Platz zu erhalten ist die vortägige Reservation notwendig - oder man hat Glück! • jemina (3/5): The hotel did not meet my expectations at all - Exceptional staff. All willing to help. Tendai was good, tried to make our stay comfortable Good size bathroom though the water in the bath was dirty yellow water. Found the tea facilities in the wardrobe,kettle had left over water yet it was in the wardrobe. Could not make tea and coffee in the room because did not find this clean and hygienic. Room too small for the big pillows and cushions that fill half the bed.No space to put our bags to allow safe movement in the room. Two single beds in the room, prepared and made as single beds yet I asked for a double bed. Very uncomfortable nights. Set of stairs to take with heavy bags up to the room. No lift at the hotel.

• Andrea (8/5): We felt right at home at Pontac, wish we could stay longer! Can't wait to be back! - Beautiful building and surroundings. The room was beautiful and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was very spacious with lovely soap and shampoo provided. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Location is perfect to explore Paarl and surrounds. Breakfast was great, too!

• Dr (9/5): Warm and homey hotel - The hotel won me over in a day! Usually not one for historical buildings I found the hotel warm and homey. Rocky the cat made me feel right at home. The Cattle Baron next door took care of all one's dinner needs and the fillet was exceptional. The scones at breakfast were fantastic. I did not like the dark dining area but could eat breakfast outside. I did not particularly enjoy carrying my luggage upstairs as there is no elevator.

Great dip in the pool. Friendly staff. Cattle Barron Restaurant on site, a bonus. Loved our 2 night stay.
• Kay (1/5): Fucking horrible service. Racist establishment! - Nothing!! This is a racist establishment. I made a booking online. When I arrived with my Black partner, we were told the place is fully booked and no rooms are available. I will make it my personal mission to let everyone know this is a racist establishment. If all rooms were full, why did the booking go through on my app. We had to seek accommodation elsewhere. Absolutely shit service for 2025.

• John (9/5): The Pontiac Manor Hotel is a stunning property. Comfortable rooms and exceptionally clean. - I might be a little biased. Paarl is my home town. That said the Pontiac Manor Hotel is very friendly and professional. Our rooms were very clean and comfortable. Our evening in the restaurant was very good and popular too. Meal excellent. Breakfast in the morning was good. The hotel is in an excellent position to see historic Paarl with its stunning view of Paarl Mountain. To be honest no complaints.
