Christiano and the wonderful staff are passionate about making your stay perfect. The dinners prepared at the Quinta by Maria were also fantastic. Take time to visit Salma Rio, which is located by the Duoro river, where Christiano and his wife Claudia have an equally special place for coffee, tapas and amazing fig and ricotta gelato! We definitely look forward to coming again!

Breakfasts and dinners were very plentiful and delicious. Bed was incredibly comfortable. We’ll certainly be back!

- Karen (10/5): - This was such a wonderful stay. Our room was lovely, with a nice balcony overlooking the property. The property was gorgeous, with comfortable lounging areas both inside and out. There was a wood burning fireplace in the main area that made the space so cozy that one night we curled up with blankets on the couch and spent a few hours just reading and relaxing. Everyone was so friendly and considerate of our needs and the service was impeccable. The breakfasts were fabulous with a large array of delicious choices. Would highly recommend!

Wir erkundeten das Dourotal. Empfehlenswert sind auch die Weine der lokalen Winzergenossenschaft, die im Quinta Do Bosque vorrätig sind. Eine klare Empfehlung für Quinta Do Bosque! Anmerkung: Es gibt in Mesao Frio bedingt durch die Topografie unterschiedliche Streckenführungen. Geübte Autofahrer können die etwas steileren und schmaleren "Abkürzungen" nutzen.

People says it is complicated to get there, but nothing dangerous. Just very narrow streets and sharp turns, aka Portugal.
- Teschke (10/5): Ein wunderbarer, entspannter Wohlfühlort im Duoro-Tal - Die wunderschöne Lage, die Aussicht, die Ruhe und die liebe Gastgeberin (natürlich auch die anderen MItarbeiter) sorgen dafür, dass man sich einfach rundum wohl fühlt. Die Betten zwar etwas hoch (aufpassen beim nachts aussteigen :-) - aber absolut fluffig und komfortabel. Ein herausragendes und liebevoll angerichtetes Frühstück! Es hat absolut nichts gefehlt und dieser geschäumte Cappucchino war richtig lecker. Der Frühstücks- und Aufenthaltsraum ist heimelig und die Möglickeit auf der Terasse zu frühstücken und die ersten Sonnenstrahlen zu genießen natürlich top. Eine ruhige und entspannte Atmosphäre sorgt für herrlichen Start in den Tag. Auch der liebevoll gedeckte Tisch beim Abendessen und die feinen, abgestimmten Menüs (hervorragend!), mit typischen Gerichten des Landes haben den Aufenthalt zu etwas besonderem gemacht. Da fällt mir eigentlich nichts ein... außer vielleicht, dass die Schranktüren sich verselbstständigt haben, was manchmal etwas laut und störend war. Und der Pool war wirklich sehr sehr kalt - aber darüber kann man wirklich hinwegsehen, weil alles andere perfekt war.

- João (10/5): - Há lugares que nos recebem… e há lugares que nos abraçam. A Quinta do Bosque, em Mesão Frio, é um desses raros sítios onde tudo parece ter sido pensado com o coração. Desde o primeiro instante em que se entra pelos portões, sente-se uma paz difícil de descrever — uma harmonia perfeita entre a natureza, o conforto e a alma de quem ali vive. O Cristiano, a Maria, a Maria João e a Cláudia são anfitriões de outro mundo. Há uma generosidade natural no modo como acolhem, falam, cuidam e antecipam o que precisamos, antes mesmo de pedirmos. São o verdadeiro reflexo do que é hospitalidade com alma. E depois há o Becas, o cão mais doce e simpático que se possa imaginar — uma espécie de guardião da boa energia do lugar, que nos recebe como se fôssemos velhos amigos. O espaço é simplesmente impecável: a limpeza é exemplar, os detalhes encantam, e cada recanto parece ter sido desenhado para transmitir serenidade. O silêncio é profundo, mas nunca vazio — é o silêncio bom, o que nos devolve o equilíbrio e o prazer de estar. O pequeno-almoço é, sem qualquer dúvida, o melhor que alguma vez comemos — mesmo comparando com hotéis de cinco estrelas espalhados pelo mundo. Tudo é fresco, artesanal, servido com elegância e preparado com amor. É impossível não começar o dia com um sorriso depois de algo assim. E ao jantar, a Maria revela-se uma verdadeira artista: o que sai da sua cozinha é divinal. Cada prato é feito com alma e sabor, daqueles que aquecem o coração e deixam memória. Destaco a simpatia ao longo de toda a estadia, da Maria João e do Cristiano. O pequeno-almoço é delicioso com produtos excelentes e foi onde comi os melhores ovos benedict. O jantar também estava perfeito, parabéns à Maria, que cozinha lindamente 😊 Adorámos a estadia e voltaremos com toda a certeza. Recomendo muito a Quinta do Bosque, fica muito bem localizado e é tudo 5 estrelas. E não podia deixar de falar do Becas, que nos foi fazendo companhia ao longo de toda a estadia.

- yarden (10/5): ואוווו! - ואו!! פשוט הכל! ניתוק מהשגרה, נוף מהמם, אירוח יוצא דופן ברמות הגבוהות! הכל מוקפד וברמה הכי גבוהה שיש. תעשו לעצמכם טובה ותסגרו כאן חדר. אנחנו ישנו בסוויטה והייתה לנו גם גינה קטנה פרטית ועשינו מדורה בערב. מומלץ! התחשבו בי בארוחת ערב והכינו לי במיוחד דג במקום בשר שהיה מןגש באותו יום. לא שלא אהבנו פשוט למקלחת בחדר יש רצונות משלה קצת, מים חמים ופתאום קרים אבל זה ממש לא מפריע לי לדרג את המקום הזה כמושלם!

- Sylvie (10/5): Incredible service - The view, the food and the service is amazing. The place is so clean! Christiano is very accommodating and Maria is super nice! They offer a fridge to share, a bar with wine/alcohol and you take what you need and simply note it down and pay at the end of your stay. Nothing, but some parts of the road to get there are very narrow.
