- Edward (1/5): The worst hosts i have ever experienced. - This is nicely presented accomodation that has been well tended to by the house-keeping and grounds-keeping staff. The two hosts provided to poorest ‘hospitality’ i have ever experienced from any vendor, any where in the world. Despite hiring the entire venue for my guests and i, we were treated with the utmost contempt by the hosts. We were surveilled constantly, and accosted by the hosts for any indiscrepancies, these include, talking on a balcony, having a braai after 9 pm, having my grandparents visit, and many other innocuous occurrences. After one occasion i argued with the host about the acceptable decibel range for conversation past 9pm, he advised that the only acceptable noise would be for guests to watch TV in their own rooms. A delightful venue hosted by two of the worst people in the ‘hospitality’ industry. Dont believe the other reviews, they have clearly been done by russian click bots and family memebers who haven't stayed there.

- Marica (10/5): Fijn verblijf. - Gastvrouw was super vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Een verwelkoming met een glaasje en uitleg over de omgeving. Leuke tips voor uitstappen. Het ontbijt was heerlijk, het broodmandje gevuld met heel veel soorten lekkers, en de broodjes waren uitmuntend. Het ontbrak aan niets en alles was heel vers. Je hebt verschillende hoekjes om gezellig te keuvelen in alle rust zonder gestoord te worden. Parkeren was wel een issue vermits er weinig plaats is op het domein. Indien je langs de straatkant niet op de juiste plaats stond (omdat er geen plaats meer was) zat er de dag erna een briefje aan het venster. De badkamer is toe aan renovatie.

Die Zimmer sind sehr komfortabel !!! Das ist keine Kritik , aber man sollte es wissen : Für Personen, die ein Problem mit Treppen oder Stufen haben , ist die Anlage nur bedingt geeignet , da die einzelnen Häuser und auch der Pool am Hang auf verschiedenen Ebenen liegen .

- Sa_Brisa (9/5): Toller Start unserer Süd Afrika Reise - Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit im Dreamhouse Guesthouse, alleine die Ruhe und der tolle Ausblick machen den Aufenthalt schon besonders. Das Frühstück war jeden Morgen einfach traumhaft und lecker. Unser Zimmer war leider direkt neben der Küche und durch die Hellhörigkeit der Räume, haben wir leider oft vieles mitbekommen.

- Julien (9/5): Une base idéale pour explorer la région dans un cadre très agréable - L'emplacement, le cadre, les chambres (spacieuses, très bien équipées avec une superbe salle de bain), le petit-déjeuner, la vue sur les montagnes et l'océan La première impression n'était pas top car lorsque nous sommes arrivés, personne ne répondait à l'interphone du portail puis quand nous avons pu entrer avec d'autres clients qui avaient un badge, personne n'était présent à l'accueil. On a mis un peu de temps avant de trouver quelqu'un qui puisse nous accueillir. Notre hôte nous a alors reprochés de ne pas être arrivés à l'heure prévue sur booking... On est arrivé 1/2 heure après l'heure indiquée alors que l'heure mentionnée sur booking est donnée à titre indicatif et dépend forcément des aléas de la journée de voyage et de la circulation... L'arrivée n'a donc pas été des plus agréables. Sinon, hormis ce problème à l'arrivée, rien à signaler sur le séjour qui s'est bien déroulé

- Josef (10/5): Wir waren mehr als positiv überrascht von diesem kleinen Guesthaus. - Die Lage ist ein "Dream". Der blick auf Hout Bay ist eine Augenweide und das Frühstück unübertroffen. Die Frühstücksterrasse unter Palmen mit Blick auf den verwunschenen Garten ist wie im Märchen. Die Eigentümerin Ivanca gestaltet den Aufenthalt wie ein Treffen mit Freunden. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Die Auf-und Abfahrt zum be-und entladen sind etwas kompliziert.

The owners are very helpful, including giving good local tips and preparing a takeaway breakfast for us on our final day before our flight. The shower is inside the bedroom, which is not made clear in the photos. This makes the room feel quite hot and muggy, and there is no air con to cool it down. The only fan is very loud and doesn’t stand up. It was also possible to see into our room from the stairwell and path inside the property so it only felt semi-private.
- Natalia (10/5): - Stunning views, an incredibly delicious breakfast. A wonderful, caring host who does everything with heart and love. Everything is clean and very cozy. An amazing garden. Initially, the room was booked for one person. In the middle of the trip, a friend joined me. For adding one additional guest, we were charged an extra fee under the explanation that we would use more electricity and water. The additional charge amounted to nearly half of the room price. As a result, the total cost of the room became almost the same as the price for one person.

The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the view from the dining area was truly amazing. - Siebe (9/5): Geweldige locatie, prachtig uitzicht en een super ontbijt, al met al een aanrader!!! - Het ontbijt was zeer uitgebreid, heerlijk vers fruit met yoghurt, vele broodjes en broodsoorten met daarbij een grote schaal met diverse kaasjes, vleeswaren, komkommer, tomaat. De keuze om diverse soorten eieren te laten bakken en lekkere koffie. Echt een geweldig ontbijt, op prachtige witte tafelkleden! Ik mistte een kleding kast, deze was helaas net voor ons verblijf ingestort en er was nog geen nieuwe teruggeplaatst. Om kleerhangers gevraagd zodat ik toch wat spullen op kon hangen aan de gordijnrail.

- Achim & Uschi (9/5): Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder und können dieses Hotel uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. - Wir hatten einen rundum einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der außergewöhnlich freundliche und aufmerksame Service – vom Check-in bis zur Abreise fühlten wir uns jederzeit willkommen und bestens betreut. Ein echtes Highlight war das Frühstück: eine sehr große, hochwertige Auswahl mit frischen, liebevoll angerichteten Speisen, ob warm oder kalt, süß oder herzhaft – hier bleiben keine Wünsche offen. Die Qualität der Produkte und der aufmerksame Service im Frühstücksbereich haben den Start in den Tag perfekt gemacht. Ein kleiner Verbesserungsvorschlag betrifft die Internetverbindung, die stellenweise etwas instabil war. Mit einer Optimierung wäre der Aufenthalt wirklich perfekt.
- Katja Vo. (10/5): - Wir ware nach einigen Jahren wieder zu Gast bei Ivanka im Dreamhouse und wieder absolut begeistert von der Anlage und dem Service. Das Frühstück wird für jeden Tisch separat aufgedeckt war überwältigend und mehr als ausreichend. Jeder Extrawunsch wurde nach Möglichkeit erfüllt. Der Ausblick ist überwältigend, von den Bergen über das grüne Tal von Houtbay hin zum Meer und dem Chapmans Peak Drive. Zudem ist die wunderschöne Gartenlage durch unterschiedliche Häuser auf unterschiedlichen Ebenen so individuell gestaltet, dass sich für jeden Gast ein verschwiegenes Plätzchen zur Entspannung findet. Die Zimmer und Suiten sind geschmackvoll und großzügig eingerichtet. Es fehlt an nichts.

Ob am Pool relaxen, in einer der versteckten kleinen Plätze im Garten lesen, oder man lässt sich für kleine Geld mit Uber nach Hout Bay Strand fahren. Wir haben auch mehrere Ausflüge nach Capetown von dort aus unternommen. Nichts

- Susanne (6/5): Aufgrund der Wasserproblematik eher nicht nachmal. - Man hat einen schönen Blick Richtung Meer. Wir haben 2 Doppelzimmer gebucht . An 2 von 3 Tagen gab es kein fließendes Wasser. Bereitgestellte große Eimer und Trinkwasserkanister ließen auf die Häufigkeit schließen. Dies wurde aber von der Gastgeberin verneint, angebliche Reparaturarbeiten. Trotzdem ist es nicht schön wenn man sich nicht duschen kann wann man es möchte. Aufgrund der Unannehmlichkeiten wäre ein Erlassen der überschaubaren Getränkerechnung (unter 30 Euro) durchaus angemessen gewesen.

Die Umgebung ist sehr ruhig und sicher. Das von vielen Gästen angepriesene Frühstück ist wahrscheinlich nicht zu toppen und übertrifft alles was wir vorher gesehen hatten! Die Gastgeberin mit ihrer angenehmen, professionellen Art ist sehr hilfsbereit und war uns sehr sympathisch. Wir können nur positives berichten und sollten wir wieder mal nach Kapstadt reisen, dann ist für uns die erste Adresse: Dreamhouse Guest House.

We enjoyed the location very much. Password for Wi-Fi was more than 20 symbols long which was surprising. As property is located on top of the hill it is windy or cloudly in the morning.

La localisation est entre Camps Bay et le Chapman Peak Drive. Le jardin botanique de Kirstenbosch peut être relié également sans passer pas le centre de Cape Town. Le jour du départ, j'avais un vol tôt le matin et j'ai reçu un panier repas des hôtes pour le petit déj. La connexion Wifi est faible.

L'établissement propose différents types de chambres et accueille beaucoup de clients. Si vous cherchez quelque chose de plus intimiste ce n'est pas l'adresse, même si tout est fait pour vous permettre de vous sentir à l'aise.

Per questi aspetti la struttura si meriterebbe 10 Dalla descrizione su Booking la camera era una king size con terrazza e vista giardino / montagna. In realtà la nostra dava su un patio / zona di passaggio vista muro di separazione dalla struttura confinante. Bagno cieco con barriere architettoniche. C'è solo una tenda oscurante (o ti vedono in camera o stai con le luci accese di giorno). Arredamento vintage: testiera del letto in velluto; poche prese e mal posizionate per ricaricare cellulari/uso dell'asciugacapelli abaut-jour poco funzionali. Sembra una camera da Motel. Punteggio 5.
- MarcNortheim (10/5): Gartenparadies auf dem Hügel mit Blick in die Bucht von Hout Bay - Ivankas Gastfreundschaft ist großartig. Wir haben uns mit unserem Kleinen sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Team hat auf dem Hügel mit Sicht auf Hout Bay ein kleines Paradies geschaffen, wo man eigentlich gar nicht mehr weg will. Perfekter Ausgangsort für viele Sehenswürdigkeiten des Kaps ist es dennoch! Unglaubliche Stimmung bei Sonnenuntergang. Das kann man nicht besser machen. Ich kann den Aufenthalt allen empfehlen.
- Juliane (9/5): Beste Aussicht - Begrüßt wurden wir mit einem Glas Wein, zum Abschied gab es einen Drink aufs Zimmer. Die Tranquility Suite hat einen großen Balkon mit toller Aussicht auf die Hout Bay. Das Zimmer an sich ist groß und modern. Die Anlage ist so schön grün, es gibt zwei Pools. Überall kann man die Sicht auf die Bucht genießen. Das Frühstück war das beste unserer Reise! So vielfältig und gut. Es gibt eine Honesty Bar am Pool sowie eine Minibar. Ideal gelegen für Ausflüge rund um Kapstadt und für einen Besuch der tollen Strände. Kostenloses Parken direkt vor der Tür. War wieder zu kurz.

- Katherine (10/5): A slice of heaven in Hout Bay - A really warm welcome on arrival, Ivanka could not have been any keener to ensure we felt at home. We drank wine on the terrace before heading to our suites and being shown all the other areas of the property. The breakfasts are sensational and the beds were extremely comfortable. We especially loved the relaxed atmosphere and the real team feel. Additionally, the views down to the bay and across the valley are breathtaking. What a special place to stay! We will DEFINITELY stay here again when we're back in Cape Town. Not a criticism, just an observation. We had no trouble whatsoever with the steep driveways entering and exiting the property. However, if you're not a confident driver this might be an issue. Ivanka encourages people to park on the road if they wish, so that's always an option and should not affect your enjoyment of the Dreamhouse.
