With dedicated boat slips, coming down to go fishing was a breeze. The staff are incredibly helpful and accommodating. The grounds are clean and inviting. The sunsets are spectacular. We tried to extend our trip an extra day, it was so nice. I'm already planning our visit for next year. Every time we stay, we've meet the most delightful guests also staying at La Jolla. Super nice and laid back people. I cannot recommend enough.

After a two-month journey sailing our catamaran, Mahi, along the coast in search of the perfect setting, we found it. Authentic 'Old Florida' charm that was both stylish and boutique, capable of hosting an intimate event. La Jolla in Islamorada was the answer to our long search. La Jolla Resort & its adjacent lodges provided the unique, personalized atmosphere that made our 19-person ceremony on the Bahia lodge’s grounds absolutely flawless. We stayed in the Bahia lodge with our core group, while the rest of our guests enjoyed the quaint, updated motel rooms onsite. It created such a personalized, private atmosphere that made the weekend unforgettable. The manager, Gundar, was incredibly accommodating and clear. The staff was easy to work with from start to finish. Thank you team for everything. Our guests are already talking about returning with their own families! Whether you’re planning a group gathering or a romantic getaway, I cannot recommend La Jolla enough. We will definitely be back to celebrate our honeymoon! 🪸🩷

- terid627 (10/5): Beautiful, funky & fun! Staff professional and helpful! - The setting is incredible. Many of the rooms & “houses”, on the property, have water views. There is a lovely beach and several places to tie up a small boat. There are kayaks, paddle boards & bicycles available to the guests. We were there to attend a wedding and the venue was perfect. We had a suite, that had definitely been updated with. There was a living room, adequate kitchen (full size stove & refrigerator) with limited cooking utensils and dishes. There were T.Bs in the living room & bedroom. The room had king size bed. I’d call it, “funky” but very comfortable & clean. This room was probably in the, worst location it was in the front of the resort right next to the, Overseas Highway. However, it was very quiet, we slept very well. We would definitely go back but would ask for a room on the water.

Great restaurants near by and I have to say the value was definitely 👌 i would recommend this place 💯. The staff was so nice and so sweet they gave us an anniversary gift. I have nothing bad to say about this place! Very relaxing is what i needed. We will be back! Definitely recommend!!!!

I rate this place an A+.. Definitely recommend! We will be back... I really have nothing to complain but if i had too i would say Where the TV was placed hit our head a few times lol, more cushions on the lay out seats.

Resort provides kayaks, paddle boards, games, hammocks, beach chairs, snorkeling gear and more. Staff was always helpful and friendly. Pool was perfect for us. Will recommend and will return!

Możliwość wypożyczenia kajaka czy deski bardzo na plus - trochę popływaliśmy po okolicy. Szkoda, że nie ma tam kompieliska z plaży do morza - chyba że działa w innym sezonie. Basen nie duży blisko drogi, ale nie bylo na nim głośno i dobrze się bawilismy - woda nie była zimna. Bardzo malownicze miejsce, chętnie bym tu powróciła. Pokój duży ładnie urządzon, czysto. Pomocny personel. Jedynym minusem był tocząsy się remont za płotem, widok za oknem nie był ciekawy. Zakładam, ze to sezonowe prace i szybko się skończą. Można by odnowić znak resortu na wjeździe - bo jest stary zniszczony i nieco odstraszający i zupełnie nie oddaje klimatu jaki czeka na gości po wjeździe.

Had room closest to the road and road noise was quite loud, big trucks drive all night. Pool small, only 2 sunbeds by pool, at times when other guests in pool had to go and come back later.

We rented the big house on the water & 2 other smaller cottages & we all loved it ! Walk to breakfast, lunch & dinner & stop by the new Cuban place a mile away & hop on the bikes from the front office for a fun spin around the island 🏝️

The atmosphere was perfect including the hammocks outside and the patio outside of our room. We were pleasantly surprised with all the amenities. Everyone was super friendly and there was even FREE ICE! The rooms were clean and the grounds just seemed so quaint and quiet! We will definitely be staying here again!

Tamara and John were so helpful in helping with my stay and my fiancée and I are dreaming of having our wedding here!! They have 2 waterfront homes and many more motel rooms many of which also have views of the water.

- annefC4161CV (10/5): What a hidden gem! - Amazing little resort tucked behind a retro sign. At first you would think, hmmm, maybe not so good. But trust me drive back into the entrance and you won’t regret it. The resort was a small, but so wonderful, like a piece of private property with no crowd. Our room was clean and neat, plenty of room and even a kitchenette. The bathroom was small, with a squeeze to sit on the toilet, but it was clean, plenty of hot water. The beach was wonderful, had a nice deck, small boat slips free kayak use bikes. The view was beautiful. I wish we had made our reservations for a longer stay, as I was very sad to leave. Only downside was the stairs we had to climb to get to our room, but they do have lower level rooms so I will be sure to request one ground level next visit. Glad we stayed here.

The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. The property is very well maintained and peaceful. There are eating and adult beverage establishments within walking distance as well as shopping. The room was very clean, comfortable and stocked with everything we needed. I would definitely recommend this location for your next trip. Thank you Lajolla management & staff for a Great stay.

If you’re looking for a five star stuffy place this is not it. If you’re wanting a quaint hotel in the perfect location this is it. Staff friendly and helpful. This bay side hotel has a great sunset and awesome water front hang out area. There are docks for boats , shuffle board , hammocks , plenty of shady spots , areas to fish and snorkel or take out a kayak. There is a pool a little on the small side up near the front of the property with a gas grill for guest use. Our room. I believe room L . Was a king suite. Our living room and bedroom both were HUGE. We also had a full size fridge stove and microwave. Beds were comfy no complaints. We stayed five nights and didn’t want to check out. Right across the road is a brewery , down the road not even two minutes are several popular spots to eat and get drinks. Loved our stay . Can’t wait to return

The property was very peaceful, clean and close proximity to lots of shops and restaurants. The laid back vibe was my favorite part of our stay! And a little bonus was being greeted in the morning by the resort cat!

The folks working there are extremely friendly n accommodating. Lots to do as they have fishing n snorkeling equipment, paddle boards kayaks etc. The staff is amazing from Gundars, John, Althea to mention some. My friends n family all enjoy and in fact we had booked 4 rooms the last week. Beautiful sunsets n and just awesome place to stay. Oh and i forgot to mention Felix, the resort kitty kat. Always super friendly and will usually greet all of the guests
- rklanser (10/5): Great stay! - Great room!! Suite with king bed and two twin beds in a separate room. Bed and pillows were wonderful. We could have used an extra blanket with weather being so cold. But room temp was comfortable. Kitchenette included. Very clean and quiet! Great view of the gulf. It was too cold to spend any time on the beach or doing any water sports. Front desk was helpful in giving options for a rainy day. Definitely stay in room ‘C’ again!

Walking distance to many shops and several restaurants. Very close to our favorite place, The Lorelei. Bags of ice were complimentary which was a nice touch. The grounds are nice, plenty of fun hangouts by the water and all spread out so no ones on top of each other. My only complaint would be that complimentary water is always welcomed as the keys are hot and alcohol is always flowing. It would have been nice to have bottled water upon check in or in our room. Also, the bathroom in our room was very much in need of an upgrade. Tiles were broken and falling. And overall was very old school.

Staff were very friendly! They let you check out bikes, kayaks, paddle boards and fishing poles at no charge! We used the bikes to ride up and down the strip and we walked to restaurants in the mornings & evenings! Great place for family! Can't beat the views and location!

The room was pleasant and featured a well-equipped kitchenette. Close to restaurants and shops. What we did not like was the severe lack of natural light in the room.
