• LCMAN61 (4/5): Poor Maintenance - My spouse and I revisited the Cuero area since October 2025. We decided to give this property another stay and we were disappointed that the property owner has NOT addressed issues brought to their attention. Marriott Corporation needs to inspect their franchise owners and take corrective action. ISSUES: 1. Fix hallway air conditioning - hot and humid 2. Replace missing baseboards in hallway and in rooms 3. Fix maintenance room air conditioning and close door to reduce noise 4. Mow grass and weeds on a more frequent basis. 5. Clean trash in parking lot and grass 6. Clean window exteriors to remove mold and mildew. 7. Clean mold & mildew from building exterior 8. Inspect & fix single creaking elevator

• James (2/5): - Had to switch rooms. The first room smelled like mildew. They obviously had a water leak right I. Front of our room. There were fans running right I front of the room. For the rest of the stay the entire building smelled like sewer. There are problems at this facility they need attention. Was not a pleasant stay.

Major Problems , Mold everywhere even on the building, NO A/C in hallways 2&3 floors, A/c in rooms leaking in room,¬ working properly, the rooms smell like mold , bugs in room, bathroom chipped shower floor, shower drain does not work, no maid service if you run out of anything you have to ask for it , garbage piled up outside for days , hotel computer broken, pool dirty and broken chairs around pool. The hotel looks new when you pull up but don’t be fooled!! I would not touch the breakfast if the hotel is that dirty I couldn’t even imagine what the kitchen looks like. They need the health inspectors to come out !!!!

• nicolenL8384EM (2/5): Ewww - Gross. This hotel had a damp smell when walking in and went downhill from there. AC issues everywhere, including the halls and room we stayed in wasn’t cold. It was moist throughout and had major maintenance issues. The plugs by the bed didn't work, the light above the shower was flickering and the bathtub didn’t drain. We also saw 4 bugs crawling around in the one evening we stayed. Will not be returning ever.

• dianacT4296ON (2/5): Bedbugs - Bedbugs and the staff did not offer compensation or even attempt to rectify the situation. Asked for trash bags to wrap our belongings in and they seemed bothered. Hotel was quiet otherwise, very poorly lit parking lot. Initial room had the door wide open upon arrival resulting in request for an alternate room. Will NEVER stay again.

• Michael (2/5): Avoid This Hotel - Stay In Kenedy or Elsewhere - THESE ARE OIL & GAS WORKERS AND THEY ARE PEOPLE TOO SPENDING REAL MONEY IN THE LOCAL ECONOMY. THREAT THEM LIKE PEOPLE AND PROVIDE A CLEAN HAVEN FOR THEM TO RELAX AFTER A LONG DAY. THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR THE CONDITION OF THIS SOMEWHAT NEW(ER) HOTEL. This hotel was a total and surprisingly disappointment in terms of quality and cleanliness and should probably LOSE its flag as a Marriott Bonvoy property. The Deluxe/Premium King that everyone rated as a 10.0 must have been somewhere else. Pictures speak a thousand words and this hotel is certainly an example. We stay at alot of places all over the world, and can see past a lot of things, but cleanliness is a non-negotiable. Dead and live bugs in the room throughout, mildew, a toilet that would NOT flush 100%. We arrived later in the evening and just needed the place for the night. We slept fully clothed and did not use the mildew ridden shower and nor did we use the ice or the breakfast bar. We have never left a Marriott property where when departing nobody said "have a nice day" or "good-bye" while 2 employees where standing at the counter chit-chatting. At sunrise, the outside of the hotel was dirty (glass had what looked like splatter marks on it) and overridden with weeds. Disappointing. Will also be sending a note to Marriott Hotels International. This is not even remotely worthy of a Marriott flag in front of it.

• LCMAN61 (6/5): Needs Maintenance - My spouse and I spent 2 nights at this property. The hotel needs maintenance in the following areas: 1. Room smelled - Use Air Freshner 2. Stairwells dirty for 3 days on both ends of building, daily cleaning lacking 3. 3rd floor was hot, fix A/C 4. Maintenance room open & noisy on 3rd floor. Fix A/C and close door 5. Crazy ants in windowsills, spray ant killer 6. Trash left outside in grass and not being picked up, clean parking lot daily 7. Parking lot lights never came on, Fix lights as a safety issue 8. Elevator creaked loudly between 2nd and 3rd floor, Get maintenance 9. Outdoor boot/shoe cleaners worn and not effective. Replace items

• V3270UAvirginias (4/5): This one needs work - I've always loved the good design and professionalism of Marriott and was relieved to get a weekend room when my air conditioning was on the fritz. The staff gave me a dispensation to bring my senior dog as long as no stains were left behind. This experience was uncomfortable in that the room humidity was so high. And I really missed not having eggs on Sunday that were provided on Saturday. Then, I got a $175 pet charge because the room smelled like dog. Won't be going back to this one. Will try other Marriotts. This one needs some work, at least in room 105.

• Sharon (10/5): I would love to come back but would appreciate it if they would give the hotel more care and importance - The property smelled clean and was to part with all the necessities that we needed. The beds were comfortable the rooms were clean. The a/c was cool enough for us to sleep comfortably. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The only thing I would say I didn’t like was the fact that the outdoor maintenance was not up to part. The grass wasn’t mowed therefore the hotel looked cheap and ratchet when arriving. There was too much dirt and gravel on the pavement property. And the pool hadn’t been cleaned up therefore it was closed down for the guests to use.
• Evonne (2/5): - We had reservations for 4 rooms. We attempted to check in and they had given our rooms away. They found 1 room for our group of 4 people-business trip. They then found a 2nd room after a hour but the 2nd room was dirty, carpet was wet, and 1 of the beds was broken. The staff was rude-I asked for a refund for 3 rooms and they refused stating we recieved 2 rooms and would only refund the 2 rooms they could not provide. One of the worst experinces of my live. DO NOT STAY HERE

• Reed (4/5): - Nothing special about this property, don’t assume that because it branded with a major chain that the standards carry over. Our room was never serviced in the 3 nights we stayed, we also used the side entrance for our room and that had trash bags and overflowing trash can.

The beds were comfortable and the shower was great: hot water, good shower-head, modern glassed-in design. Hot coffee ready in the morning. We did not have breakfast but it looked good; scrambled eggs, bacon, cereals etc. Courteous and friendly front desk staff. I would definitely stay again.
