Guest Reviews
- Eunique (10/5): Amazing! - beautiful hotel pictures actually match what's online, they have robots for room service that was really cool. warm and cozy vibes. great location, plenty of food options, mag mile is just a hop skip and jump away. five minutes from navy pier. street gets congested since it's near the hospital and restaurants all around, but that's at no fault to the hotel.
- Dominic (10/5): N/A - N/A N/A
- Paris (10/5): -
- Tatiana (9/5): Really liked the hotel. Great value, nice rooms, friendly staff, excellent location. - Clean, modern, convenient Beds weren’t the most comfortable
- Tetiana (4/5): Wouldn’t stay again and would not recommend - Clean Horrible mattress
- Ahmarion (1/5): TERRIBLE! - The only good thing about the hotel was Leo and kleo the robots The hospitality was terrible, my fiance and I weren’t treated like guest. The staff talks to you disrespectfully and I just overall did not like my stay here and I will never stay there again!!!
- Jennifer (10/5): -
- Walter (10/5): - The convenience of everything nearby. Also the service was amazing! Can't think of anything I didn't like.
- Natalie (10/5): -
- Nikolaos (10/5): - Ideal location, central and within a walking distance from main points of interest. The hotel itself was very stylish, with excellent decoration and very comfortable rooms. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodative. All in all a great stay.
- laniqua (10/5): -
- Shanice (10/5): Very comfortable love ittttt. - Everything and staff was great. I loved everything.
- Tiera (9/5): - I love the robots and the shower, it was so modern. Love that they had a restaurant on property. They system went down so it was along check in line but they got us in pretty fast
- Connor (10/5): Incredible rooms and an awesome experience with there establishment and staff! - The design and theme was insane and the concierge at the front seat when we checked in was incredible and super nice we appreciated everything! Valet was a little hard but we also really appreciate the first guy for understanding our situation and working with us!!
- Mary (10/5): Wonderful experience definitely will book again and for longer stay - Everything
- Brandon (9/5): Great stay loved the hotel would come back for sure. - Modern and the art decor Front desk didn’t mention the gym and I would have like to check it out. I found out at check out when another guess was checking out. They told another guess did you enjoy the gym. Took me by surprise.
- Andrea (9/5): -

- Laurie (5/5): Not as charming as it used to be - Great location! Comfortable beds. Noisy neighbors; felt unsafe when nothing was done with drunk party next to us that spilled out into the hall and kicked my door at 1:30 in the morning.
Lack of desserts for room service
- Joaquim (9/5): A fantastic stay in a modern hotel with great service and an unbeatable location. - Excellent location and a very modern, well maintained hotel. The facilities were great, breakfast was very good, and the service was consistently attentive and professional. Everything felt new and thoughtfully done. Nothing to complain about. Everything met or exceeded expectations.
- Bernadette (10/5): Great hotel that I’ll be sure to return on my next trip to Chicago. - Proximity to everything. Great staff & the rooms are beautiful! N/A
- Torria (10/5): -
- Chessie (8/5): - The hotel was in a nice location, clean, friendly, and welcoming. I didn’t like the fact that my card was incorrectly charged and the booking payment wasn’t automatically credited showing we had already paid. Still going through a dispute for that authorization and the hotel isn’t really being much assistance.

- Griffin (6/5): Decent. I’m allergic to dust and itched often - The modern design with a jazz mix was nice I paid for the breakfast and they told me it’d be through the gate 7am-11 but the next day I went down at 7:36am and the gate was locked
- Vanessa (9/5): -

- Eva (10/5): - stunning hotel! pictures don't do it justice!
- paula (4/5): - Cannot really recommend
- Julien (4/5): Disappointing, bad price value. Nice staff - Staff was nice and helpful! Room on 4th floor was awful. Super loud outside AC, view to the wall of the building next door. Items in bad shape.

- Gaetano (8/5): -
- Delaney (8/5): Would definitely consider again! Beautiful building - Aesthetics and design was amazing, staff was extremely helpful and friendly, hotel was accommodating Air conditioning in the room was definitely lacking, hopefully is just a temporary issue because it was truly the only downside. I think it was cooler outside than it was in the hotel room
- Emmy (10/5): - Great location, the hotel was clean and the staff was friendly I would recommend to stay here
- Kate (9/5): -
- Zakiya (10/5): - Great hotel in a great location!
- Elizabeth (6/5): - The location was great and very convenient to access great dining and shopping options. We were frustrated with the view. We paid extra for a “city view” and had a view of the hotel across the street but no skyline view. Waste of our money to put towards a city view. The beds were very comfortable and the room was aesthetically pleasing, but the AC was “motion activated” and would turn off while we were away or in the middle of the night. It got up to 78 degrees at one point. We even set the thermostat to 60 degrees and the lowest it ever got was 74 even when we closed the blinds. We noticed that the thermostat would even turn off while we were in the room. The front desk was notified about the thermostat and never came to assess or resolve the situation. The TV would not turn on multiple times. We had to call the front desk to fix it. We went to the bar one night, and the drinks were not good and expensive. We didn’t finish our drinks because they didn’t taste good. Very aesthetic but not tasty.
- Kimmy (10/5): - So cool and nice and clean
- Tammy (6/5): - The design of this hotel is really nice. As an interior designer, i love it. As a traveler, not completely satisfied.
I stayed in room 411 for 3 nights.
- Curtain has a weird smell, like bug smell or something of that source.
- TV didn’t work twice in 3 days we stayed. First time we called the front desk and has a technician came up to reset, second time was our last day so we just gave up. The remote control is not responsive at all, take 3s for TV to response to the remote.
- No slipper in the room. We called front desk to request but they said they ran out (?!?!).
- They didn’t refill the tissue in the room, we called to request, no one bring up (we called twice).
- lisakiebler (10/5): Great Art & Science themed hotel in downtown Chicago - Great science/art themed hotel in a great downtown location. Room was clean with all the amenities we needed. Perfect size for 2 adults and 16 year old son. Location made it easy to walk everywhere we wanted to go, from Millennium Park to 360 Chicago. We stayed on the 11th floor in a 2 queen room, and were upgraded to the City view. We would definitely stay there again.
- David (10/5): - Great location, so close to so many restaurants and shops and the Magnificent Mile itself. Yet Ontario Street itself was safe and quiet at night. Would stay again!
- Regina (10/5): Exceptional -
- ehsunyazdani (10/5): Excellent boutique hotel - Great boutique hotel, friendly staff, took care of everything we needed. The hotel robots were very cool. No complaints whatsoever, everything worked great. Hotel is in a great location as well. Beds are large, queen size if you get two. Bathroom amenities are much nicer than the Marriott standard. I particularly really enjoyed the art and design, it even carried onto the hotel' restaurant. While all the hotel staff were amazing, I would like to shoutout Gwen, she was extremely sweet!
- Lisa (4/5): - Great hotel concept but rooms were not
- Markaus (10/5): - We got upgraded to a better room and had more space. Staff was nice and room was amazing.
- Gertrude (6/5): Pleasant - Nice comfortable boutique hotel with a good location. There were a few things that were broken in the room and despite me telling reception most were not fixed.
- Princess (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jacqueline (10/5): - The hotel is located great within the city. The bar area was amazing and the service was great. We would definitely come back
- adeti2020 (2/5): Average experience for premium price - My stay was below average considering the price and the reviews ranking one of the best hotels in the city
I was expecting to be wowed by the service and the rooms and the food
Good location and the room was OK
It was my last visit before leaving the US
I and I decided the treat myself with something over the top but it was below average.
- Jacqueline (8/5): Very good -
- boolz (4/5): Disappointing - As a long time Marriott member, I can say this was among the most disappointing experiences considering how well the hotel is ranked.
Upon check-in at 3:45pm our room was not ready. We were asked to wait. Half-hour later, still not ready. I have never arrived at a hotel at 4pm and been told to wait for a room. We were offered an "accessible room", we declined. Finally, 10 minutes later they somehow found us a clean room.
We were lied about breakfast being "brunch" on weekends and opening until 1pm. When we arrived at 11am we were turned down, "No more breakfast, only Lunch items"
Their espresso machine could not grind decaf coffee or they didn't have any. Being caffeine sensitive, the only coffee I could drink was pour-over. It tasted worse than gas station coffee. They offered berries. We waited. The server brought the "cart" . No berries on the cart. We waited again. She dropped a glass container and spread pieces of glass all over the floor. Eventually came back, "I am sorry we don't have berries". The next day they were so busy and under-staffed, I waited 30 minutes to get an omelette but it never arrived. Sunday night 9pm on a Memorial Day Weekend Holiday, the bar was closed. We had to turn back. Bear in mind this is the only place at the hotel you can spend Marriott dollars as there isn't even a To-Go Market. In the end, I had to forfeit/return all those dollars because I rather spend my own money at a place that doesn't wreck my nerves.
We also experienced issues with the room. The water pressure in the shower was low. The bathroom sink; the transition from Hot to Cold water takes about 3-5 mins (?!). We found a loose screw on the shower floor I happened to step on :-( We requested towels with the robot, they never arrived. The gym is under-equipped. As far as props, has a punching bag and a yoga ball. I didn't even see yoga mats (they brought them later.
The worst part is being offered, "1,000 points" at first (market value $7) and later 5,000 points (market value $35). If you say nothing, they consider these amounts to be adequate compensation.
- Celia (10/5): Exceptional - Great location Bed had a little.roll away from.the centre
