• john (9/5): Friendly staff, great location, spotlessly clean. - Pretty much everything. Staff were very friendly, room was spotless, location is great. Breakfast was excellent. They used to have a parking rate for the hotel with the nearby NCP car but sadly that’s gone.

• anthony (4/5): Overpriced for a simple room with multiple issues - Location The tv remote didn't work, both mugs in the room were cracked and leaked so we couldn't have a morning coffee, the plates for breakfast are tiny we couldn't even fit 1 of each item on them plus the coffee machine was turned off 20 minutes before the end of the designated breakfast time.

The Wi-Fi was strong and never dropped out and the location was perfect for us with easy links to everywhere we needed to go

• Monika (9/5): Excellent stay. - Location was perfect. Spacious room with comfy bed and desk I could use to work. Friendly staff, good breakfast. Water pressure and temperature was quite low when I was having a shower. Water wasn't draning fast enough in shower cubicle, probably needs unblocking.

• Mariusz (10/5): Bardzo polecam, dużo taniej niż w Manchesterze i bardzo komfortowo - Czysto, wygodnie, znakomicie wyposażony pokój, bardzo przestronna łazienka z ogromną kabiną prysznicową i wielkim lustrem, na śniadania bardzo duży wybór jednak bez świeżych warzyw, pociągiem 10 minut do centrum Manchesteru, hotel przy stacji kolejowej ale ruch kolejowy nie przeszkadza, bo pokój był świetnie wyciszony. No po prostu SUPER!!! Wszystko było na najwyższym poziomie
• X1151ZJstephenl (8/5): Excellent hotel - Lovely hotel, very modern, rooms are spotlessly clean beds are very comfortable. Bathroom is spacious. Breakfast was very good and included in the rate. The area around the hotel has well tended gardens and has been recently developed. The railway station is in easy walking distance. The only issue is parking. The hotel has none and the NCP recommended by the hotel costs £17.50 for anything over 10 hours up to 24 hours.

• Shaw (9/5): Very pleasant and friendly staff. - Staff very friendly, the room very clean, cleaned daily and fresh beverages daily - lovely big shower with nice smelling toiletries. Nice and quiet. Although there is a variety of food and drink for breakfast and everything is spotless and good coffee - the bacon and sausages for me were a bit undercooked.

• alittletoolate (8/5): tidy hotel in a good location - despite arriving way to early to check-in staff were good enough to store my backpack,on my return your met by friendly staff,simple check-in,lifts to all floors. my room (111)was of a good size,clean and tidy and has everything one needs for a comfortable stay including a tidy bathroom with shower,the shower space was a bit larger than the norm which was much appreciated and despite my room facing the train station it was very quiet.all in all a tidy large hotel that has a lot going for it including the location.

Room including bathroom were well designed with good use of space & consideration for guests practical requirements. The hotel was well maintained & kept scrupulously clean. Staff at reception & breakfast were helpful & polite.

• STEPHEN (8/5): Last minute decision to see Steeleye Span at the Plaza; gig and accommodation first class! - On arrival, I was quietly upgraded from a twin to a double room by the efficient receptionist. My room was spacious, well laid out and spotlessly clean. I had a decent view over the station and down to St Matthew's Church spire. The bed was extremely comfortable and the desk and chair very useful. Tea and coffee making facilities were more than adequate. The shower was powerful and easy to control in terms of temperature; the free toiletries were of good quality. Breakfast was buffet style and came with the price of the room. I have had better breakfasts, but I have also had many, many worse. So, it's a big chain hotel and maybe lacking a little in heart and soul, but the staff ensure you leave with a smile on your face.

• Journey30002484907 (10/5): Great breakfast - I didn’t stay at the holiday Inn. I popped in for breakfast with friends before a day out. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The price and quality of produce was excellent. The breakfast area was clean spotless. Big shout out to Michelle who looked after us and brightened up our morning. I would highly recommend and will definitely be back. Thank you

They were genuinely keen and happy to assist in anyway they could. My only criticism would be that the silicone in the bathroom had started to go mouldy in places.
