• Linus (10/5): Mysigt pensionat - Nära till allt på ön. Rummet hade allt vi kunde önska oss, från Ac, vattenkokare till kylskåp med frys. Vi betalade 45 euro per natt vilket var ett bra pris för detta rum. Vi var mycket nöjda.
• Verified traveler (10/5): - Location was right in the middle of everything… Close to the ferry dock 50 m from the water. Very clean unit… My particular unit had a view of the water and of the side alley. Staff was very helpful in answering my questions… Probably one of the better values in Hydra
• Verified traveler (4/5): - Despite having contacted the owner about our arrival time, and having received a reply, when we arrived, we found we had no room ! We were told she had been given the wrong dates by WOTIF (untrue), and then found out the place was booked out for the rest of the week, to a group. Eventually, alternative accommodation was found for us, but not what we were expecting. Also. the owner made it sound like we had changed our minds , when obviously it was her mistake. So , if you do book this property, don't expect that the booking will be honoured, even if you do book a long time in advance, as we did ! Not happy!
• Maria (10/5): Täydellinen tukikohta lomaviikoksi - Suosittelen Aretia lämpimästi. Kaunis huone, mukava sänky, tehokas ilmastointi, huolellinen siivous päivittäin. Huoneestani avautui ovi yhteiselle terassille, jolla söin aamiaista ja istuskelin iltaisin. Alhaalla kadulla on useita hyviä ravintoloita ja pari oikein kivaa vaatekauppaa, lähellä myös leipomo. Satamaan on lyhyt kävelymatka, ja mikä tärkeintä: ei portaita, paitsi huoneen ovelta kadulle. Myös läheisin uimapaikka on lyhyen kävelymatkan päässä. Ystävällinen ja auttavainen henkilökunta. Ainoa pieni miinus oli suihkun vaatimaton vedenpaine, mutta sekään ei haitannut kokonaisuutta.
• Verified traveler (8/5): - Steps in hotel very steep, not suitable for elderly/infirm. Room was not the same as the one in the advertisement. Shared patio area with small window with poor view. Could be quite noisy at times. However it was adequate for our needs and budget. Room was comfortable and clean and the area was stunning and vibrant.
• Janet (8/5): Sweet Guesthouse in Beautiful Hydra - The Areti Guesthouse is only a short walk from the ferry dock in beautiful Hydra. A phone located in the stairwell connects you immediately to the owner who is quick to respond to your call. I loved that our room connected to a rooftop patio through a shuttered doorway. The room itself was small, with a mini-fridge, wardrobe storage and a small desk. The bed was large and very comfortable. Bedside lighting made nighttime reading easy. The bathroom was tiny, but sufficient and the only complaint there was darkened grout lines. The biggest problem was nighttime noise. Our room sat just above perhaps the liveliest place in town and the music and laughter continued until 2am each night. We were offered a discount for breakfast at an excellent cafe that was nearby. The best things about Areti is its location - close to everything in the town of Hydra, and the helpfulness of the hosts who went out of their way help us with an important package delivery.
• Nicholas (6/5): No booking but saved by the owner! - I cannot comment as Areti had no booking for us despite confirmation of booking from Hotels.com. However, the owner had another hotel where they had availability just 100m away so all was good. Remember, for €45 you get what you pay for. Owners very helpful, nice courtyard just don’t expect 4 star standards :-). As with all hotels on Hydra, you are within a minutes walk of everything! Would I stay there again? Probably but if for more than one night would look for something more like a hotel or private villa with pool :-)
• Verified traveler (10/5): - The owner, Irini, went out of her way to help us with the ferry strike situation and was generally friendly and relaxed.
• Paul (10/5): - Great location within walking distance of everything. When our boat to Piraeus was canceled because of weather, they called to offer another night at a good price. Fortunately, we found another boat that evening but it was nice to know we had a place in case we needed it. Was a good choice to stay here. I would do it again.

• Elizabeth (8/5): Great place to stay in a fabulous location! - If you're looking for clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced accommodation, you can't beat Areti Guesthouse. The location is fabulous, about a block or so inland from the harbor (no slogging up steep hills or stairs). The exterior is well-signed and it was quite easy to find. Note that there is no front desk at this property. When you walk inside (if no one is there), there is a phone that will automatically connect you with someone after a short wait. It was a piece of cake. The rooms are actually spread out over two buildings. Our room overlooked a street that was quiet by day, but very lively at night, as it is lined with a number of restaurants. Even so, our room was completely quiet. The room is small, but adequate and comfortable. The A/C makes the summer heat bearable. Minimal bath towels, hairdryer, and shampoo/body wash provided. The staff were very helpful and our stay was perfectly pleasant. I would absolutely stay here again.
• P (10/5): Really nice, clean guest house close to harbour. - Room was very clean, had air conditioning, en suite, tv, kettle etc. Very close to harbour of Hydra and my room led out onto a verandah shared with another room. Staff were friendly and helpful.
