- 534shellyi (10/5): If you're lookiong for serenity, this is the place. - We were lucky to get into Orchard Canyon Oak Creek Lodge. It was wonderful!!! We rented a cabin with a fireplace looking out on nature. We also were able to sit outside in the morning and enjoy the beautiful views. The meals were wonderful...we decided to have our dinners in our cabin...you can do that...by the fire. The people who work there are lovely and helpful. We would go again...in fact we WILL GO again! Forgot to tell you that the rooms were very clean, not much noise, you're out in the wilderness and in a canyon and oops, forgot to say, there are NO T.V.s. If you want to do computer work, you need to go to the main lodge...very nice place to be. It is expensive, BUT, if you count in the meals it's worth it.
- Kanasato8 (10/5): Beautiful hidden gem stay - I've been to Sedona every year, but this was my first time to stay here. When I entered through my car, there was beautiful river, and the garden was also very beautiful. I stayed cabin 4, and it was very cozy and so cute. Not only the hotel location but also stuff services were very incredible. Each of them trying to take care of all the customers. I heard dinner menu was really tasty and it was actually good as I expected! They also have a good selection of wine, so you can enjoy with meal. Overall, I enjoy every single day of my stay, and I definitely come back when I visit sedona again.
- danielleh482 (4/5): Beautiful Location but Needs Improvement - Beautiful canyon. Mostly tasty food. Dated subpar accommodations and no personalized service, unless you count accommodating food allergies (pretty standard at most restaurants). No one showed us around or even asked us about our stay until they sent a survey after out stay. Staff asked us if a wandering loose dog was ours, that was it. Definitely should not advertise a personalized service experience or charge a steep service charge for zero service-- not even housekeeping was done. Cabins need window cleaning, new beds (they sink in the middle) and new fixtures (like a shower head that an average adult can actually stand under to rinse her hair or sink faucets that allow you turn on hot water without burning your hands) and locks on the doors that are nicer than pad locks. Just wasn't worth the cost in any way. I love small boutique hotels, but this needs some real attention to both facilities and service to bring it up to speed. I was truly embarrassed that I spent nearly $1400/2 nights for 3 people. Expressed this in their survey, but it's been a month and no one has reached out. Not super surprised by that given my stay.
- prescottp2021 (10/5): Fabulous gourmet meals. Rustic Cabins. Peaceful walks and hikes abound! - Exceptionally peaceful surroundings with apple orchards directly on Oak Creek. You do have to drive across a stone bridge with NO guard rails to access property on west side of creek. Rustic cabins with private bathrooms and porches for sitting. Very comfortable, cozy, but not the Ritz. Some cabins have a cast iron stove with gas log set on a thermostat for warmth and great ambiance. Gourmet dinners rival 5 star restaurants in Sedona or Scottsdale. You have option for dinner in the lodge dining room, outside patio on lawn with fire pit, or served at your cabin.
- blanca10 (8/5): You can’t go back - This was our third visit and the first since covid and the ownership/ name change. Much is the same…lovely little private cabins. Quiet, scenic and spacious grounds. However,for us, some changes detracted from the experience. We really enjoyed the social dining experience in the lodge for dinner on past visits…..this is now replaced by options such as eating in your cabin and when we ate in the lodge we sat together…..( you ate only with those in your cabin). Also the limited dinner options which had to be pre-ordered were not of the same quality. The restaurant used to draw in a few diners who were not guests and getting a reservation was difficult. Breakfast in the lodge was still excellent. There was also a noticeable difference in the attitude of some staff. All in all, some of the magic is gone. The friendly hospitality seems to have been replaced by a more business model. We did enjoy our stay but this will be our last visit.
- O2592RJthomasb (10/5): Five Stars! - Our five night stay at Orchard Canyon on Oak Creek was a five star experience. We were a three-generation family of eleven (ages 14-80), staying in a combination of cabins and the Orchard House. Why five stars? First the food; an incredible breakfast buffet, then dinners, made to order, delivered to the orchard house where we all sat around the huge dining room table. Next, the special accommodations for our large group. They don’t make the Orchard house available on a regular basis, but having it made all the difference..that’s where we played games, enjoyed cocktails, and of course dinners..where our fun was always accompanied by laughter and noise that bothered no one. Lastly, the staff was hugely helpful and accommodating.
- prescottp2021 (10/5): THE place to unplug with gourmet meals in rustic luxury! - Fabulous experience, especially the gourmet meals!! Secluded, quiet group of historic cabins in a serene orchard along a high bank of Oak Creek, ten miles north of Sedona. We had a cabin on the creek bluff where you could always see and hear the creek. Older cabins are restored with new baths, amenities, but no mini fridge. But who needs one when your stay includes 5 star dinners in the lodge, served on any outside table, on your cabin porch, or in the "breakfast" nook of most cabins. Enjoy breakfast in any location. The staff emailed several weeks in advance with the month's menu to choose dinners in advance to assure perfect quality and experience. We had the roasted salmon, the bone in pork chop, and the mushroom risotto, all delicious and equal to the best in Sedona or Phoenix. The salads were very elaborate and tasty and included deserts were all delicious! One evening, we chose the outdoor fire pit for dinner and were treated to a roaring fire and a fantastic meal in a wonderful surrounding with mini lights in the trees, and an adjacent mini waterfall with lily pond for cocktails. We spent the days walking the nearby trails, reading on our porch, and enjoying the gorgeous surroundings and sounds of the creek. Note per the website, that Wi-Fi is ONLY available in and around the lodge and there are no mini fridge or room safes. Several reviewers were upset to discover this when it is in all the documentation. Orchard Canyon is THE place to unplug in rustic luxury!
- Inizy (6/5): Very nice with less services - The place is like Paradise, very relaxation place, very beautiful, but in my Cabin was no Refrigerator, and the Internet is very weak, no any services been done but I have been charged for services.
- Freedom15962881646 (10/5): Perfect 45th Anniversary! - We've stayed at this peaceful resort with old management and new. We loved being able to choose to dine in our cabin or in the lodge. We had dinner in our rustic cabin and breakfast in the lodge. Food was delicious and served by friendly professional staff. You simply cannot beat walking through the orchard, garden or down to Oak Creek while being surrounded by the colorful walls of Oak Creek Canyon. Our time was restorative and relaxing.

It’s such an incredible place for rest and relaxation, to finish your book and truly disconnect. I cannot recommend this place enough. My favorite part is staying in the upper orchard and seeing the deer come down and eat the apples off the tree… Or walking around the lower orchard! #my special place

As soon as we got there we canceled our night out and never left the resort...they had everything ! we just Chilled, so relaxing. Easy access to the Creek Wonderfulll people and amazing food. Unfortunately, new owners/management have diminished what made this place truly unique. The cabins are spectacular! The property is a Farm to Table experience with a maestro of a chef who delivers a creative and top notch dining experience with waitstaff who cheerfully explain or tell a quick story about each course brought to your table. A table full of strangers who then become friends! This is the sort of dining experience that makes you feel truly SPECIAL!! …………….Oh wait!!!!!! No. I must digress.. that was old management/owners… Now it is INSISTED you take your meal in your cabin. This exquisite, beautifully designed meal now arrives cold. Very cold. No microwave to warm up the food. At least a random hotel has microwaves in the rooms!!! There is no longer a point in the beautiful bar in the dining room- place closes at 5- dinner shows up at 6 ish…seriously?? It used to be every evening a unique, quirky cocktail would be crafted to enhance the dinner offering. Now you order a martini or whatever that shows up with dinner…. What about if I want more than one? What if I would like another cocktail? What if I would like to get to know new friends in front of the fire? To be fair, as far as the coldness of the food, there is no way possible to deliver a meal in a plastic covered box off the back of a golf cart when it’s 25 degrees and expect it to stay hot. And quite frankly, it shouldn’t be expected to. #1 rule of restaurant management- HOT FOOD HOT, COLD FOOD COLD. Period. Breakfast is also cold. Impeccable breakfast dishes curated by a talented kitchen, only to be served cold in the very dining room that dinner should be served in, because now it serves as a makeshift buffet. Gone is the extensive, mouthwatering breakfast menu. While breakfast is DELICIOUS … its basic, and it’s cold. Food is no longer Farm to Kitchen to Table. It is now basically Room Service or a Buffet on warming plates. Come on guys. You know better than this! You have to! As one who has worked in restaurant management I must question- How does an extraordinarily talented and respected chef tolerate his creations to be served in a manner so undeserving? We will return once Orchard Canyon returns to the impeccable, BRILLIANT, unique, special experience that it once was. Sad.
- K9333CXmaryb (6/5): New Owners, Different Experience - Orchard Canyon is a property located in Oak Creek Canyon with 17 individual cabins. Each cabin has a different set-up and view. The location is beautiful and the views are outstanding. The food is organic and I think most of the vegetables are grown on site. The apple trees had fresh apples you could pick and eat and they were delicious. Breakfast and dinner are included in the price. Breakfast buffet is served in the lodge and there's a lot of choice scrambled eggs, link sausages, breakfast breads and pastries, oatmeal, cereals, yogurt and for the most part, it's good. Nothing fancy, no espresso or latte, but regular and decaf coffee is available. Dinner is delivered to the cabin between 6:00 pm and 7:00 pm. There's a variety of choices and a vegan option as well. You will receive an email with the menu to complete for a three course meal, mail course, salad and dessert. The salads and desserts were very good, but our main courses were good but cold, really cold. I'm currently using a cane to get around as I was in a car accident some time ago, anyway, I was not able to use the shower as it's not handicap accessible and the property is difficult to maneuver is you're using a walker or can as the cabins are old and the lodge has multiple steps without hand rails. The setting is gorgeous, the staff is kind, but for $435.00 a night, the food should be served hot if not warm.
- 472arthura (10/5): Birthday trip to Oak Creek Canyon - We found the cabin really lovely--perfectly made to look 100 years old, but totally comfortable. The food they provide was also first class. And we had wonderful hikes in the area--the highlight of our triop.
- DX-Traveler (10/5): Very calm and verdant. Excellent food. - The cabins are from the 30ies or later - old fashioned log cabins with new bathrooms with usual amenities and good towels. The room had about 4 USB chargers, but few outlets. A small Illy espresso maker was nice. The resort itself is not very big, but offers lovely walks through the apple orchards, gardens, flower beds etc. The resort is verdant and peaceful. Dogs are allowed, and all were very well behaved. Breakfast buffet was excellent and the evening meals brought to the cabin or taken outside were excellent. Every staffer was friendly and warm. No fridge in the room, but free ice for your cooler if you needed it. There are board games and lawn games for your entertainment. WiFi in front of the office. Cell reception may be spotty in the canyon - Verizon worked just fine. Hiking trails galore within minutes of the resort.
- wvhikerchick (10/5): Serene, friendly and inspiring - Our cabin was charming and cozy. The food was top notch, fresh, truly excellent. We loved the quiet and serene atmosphere. Comfy bed, nice shower. Friendly staff all around. I loved sitting on the front porch enjoying the gorgeous views. We saw deer enjoying the plentiful apples. Very limited Wi-Fi, which is probably a good thing, a welcome change. Hiking nearby-Great proximity to Red Rock Secret Mountain Wilderness area, where our hiking club enjoyed about 7 miles of canyon & creek. Nice to be away from the crowds for a bit. Did I mention the terrific breakfast buffet? Abundant choices, all delicious.
- Jenlong49 (10/5): Amazing adventure with phenomenal food!!!! - We headed up to oak creek for the fourth with our pup! The staff greeted us warmly and we’re wonderful our entire stay- there are orchards, chickens, amazing green spaces and access to the creek if Interested- but the best part is the food- an amazing and filling breakfast each morning (today was an elote bowl with sausage) and every day was outstanding! Dinners and breakfast are provided and honestly we couldn’t have gotten better food that was super fresh - check out the upper garden when visiting….. everything had lots of veggies with great flavor and outstanding entrees - salmon steak chicken - amazing chef!!!! Props to you sir we loved every bite!!!! The staff are all so warm and welcoming - Chris was great with our pup and clearly knows his way around the property - awesome guy- the former orchard manager couldn’t have been nicer he went through the different apples and talked with us about the chickens etc. we also got to meet the new garden managers who are both awesome! They gave us a tour of the greenhouse and even sold us a delicious bag of produce upon checkout!!!! I can’t believe we’ve lived in Phoenix for twenty years and this was our first visit here - we cannot wait to come back and neither can Skittles! He loved everyone and there were lots of pups visiting for him to play with - relaxing, quiet and such a great time- thank you for the hospitality- the only suggestion would be to add a pup menu for dinners! - F1615DAdannym (10/5): LOVED IT! - Let's just say WOW!! This is the second time we have stayed here. This place is absolutely amazing. We stayed two nights in the Blackberry cabin and had the opportunity to talk to the manager, Chris, the Chef, Garan, Dasia and the new orchardists. All of them were delightful to talk to and took the time to discuss the history and everything about the location. It was very quiet and peaceful and off the grid. If you are looking for a place to stay and just enjoy nature, this is the place. The food was five star! The deer come down every morning and evening to feed and enjoy some of the apples in the orchard. The creek runs year round and everything is green and very well maintained. I don't see how anyone would have anything negative to say about this place. We love it!

It's in a cool green valley 15 minutes north of the main action, and is much mellower than Sedona itself. The dinners they serve are as good as you would get in any fine restaurant.
- MeTilly (8/5): Hit and miss on friendliness - Beautiful location rustic Cabin, Great food. Now the not so good part my husband and I witness the manager of the Orchard Canyon Chris, very unprofessionally verbally reprimanding an employee in our presence. Not ok! Felt so bad for the employee. That should have never taken place with guests being present. My husband and I ran into Chris the night before as he was waking with his dog. Thought he was a guest. Not very welcoming as he is the general manager of OC. Would have thought Chris would ask how are you enjoying your stay etc. When we checked out the person we returned our key to didn’t ask any questions like did you enjoy your stay…how was everything? This is the part of the hit and miss on friendliness. I want to conclude with a positive note. Elizabeth at OC was the epitome of hospitality! Super friendly, very engaging and gave great tips on things to do while on the OC property. Elizabeth is the kind of person who builds the business because of her personality. - 214sheenab (10/5): Cozy, comfortable and delightful - My husband and I just returned from our first stay at Orchard Canyon but it won’t be our last. The cabin (Rainy) was perfect. It was private yet not too far from everything. The bed was super comfortable with lots of pillows- always a plus. The food was delicious and it was so nice to have everything delivered. We hope to come back in the Fall when the garden and orchard are full. Thank you for a great weekend!

Meals...breakfast and dinner were excellent and our cabin was perfect. We saw a number of groups and families there who had obviously planned for time together. Close enough to Sedona town center and hiking and outdoor activities but what makes this place special is providing a space to relax and unwind.

Cons (for some): No in-cabin Wi-Fi. Guests must crowd into the small lounge area for Wi-Fi service in the main lodge only. Must drive for all services and supplies.

We love to location, away from the busy tourist areas of Sedona, the beautiful grounds, and wonderful meals. The fireplace in our cabin made it extra cozy and we enjoy the rustic experience with no TV. WIFI in our cabin was just enough connection to rest of the world.

It is difficult to get to with having to drive over a creek and up a little hard to find road. There is dining but it is 2 hours per meal so I would not recommend for anyone that is on there own schedule. I would never go back there again.

- Ray (8/5): - Great getaway, nice facility. Good food. ONE WORD OF CAUTION ALL CABINS ARE NOT ON THE CREEK AND MOST REQUIRE A WALK UP HILL. At 5000 feet, that can take your breath away. Only 4 of the 20 or so cabins are directly on the creek. When asked we were told several had a creek view, which was an optimistic overstatement at best. Only if you walked to the edge and looked down a couple hundred feet. Would still recommend and return our selves, but forewarned of room arraignment.

The rug in bathroom was also very dirty. My son refused to shower again after the first night because of the condition. The shower knobs were also barley hanging on to the pipes coming out of wall. Otherwise the location & grounds are amazing. The cabins look like something out of a storybook.

- Norm (10/5): - This place is unique among lodging opportunities. Set in gorgeous Oak Creek Canyon just outside Sedona, the facilities and staff are great. The food is outstanding as well. It is called the Orchards to reflect the apples and peaches that have been grown there for decades, and along with the on-site garden you are guaranteed fresh food. They have chickens too to assure fresh eggs for breakfast. We are definitely going back.

But as good as the service is, the location is better, whether you just sit on the porch and listen to the breeze or wander down to the flowing creek, you wont want to leave.

- Joan (10/5): A perfect getaway! - My husband and I were looking for a quiet location away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Sedona for our getaway. We could not be happier with Orchard Canyon on Oak Creek. The setting is perfect, across the creek with red rocks visible in the surrounding hills. The grounds feature fruit orchards, organic vegetable gardens, flowers, hummingbird feeders, and a chicken coop for the freshest eggs you can imagine. Our cabin was clean, comfortable and just enough rustic for a good vibe. The bed and bathroom are modern, and there was a nice fireplace for the chilly mornings and evenings. There is no TV and limited wi-fi, so bring a good book or two. The staff is super-friendly and super-attentive. As good as all this, the highlight is the dining. Your day starts with a delicious multi-course breakfast including homemade granola, muffins, fresh-squeezed juices, delicious omelettes, etc. After a day of hiking, come back for cocktail hour where the guest mingle and the master bartender whips up unique creations, often with fresh-sourced ingredients. The dinner bell rings at 7 sharp. Take your assigned seat and get ready for a gourmet treat. The four-course dinner varies by night but never disappointed. Delicious! We will be back!

- Peter (10/5): Superb option outside of Sedona - This is a great place about 10 minutes north of Sedona out of the craziness. Tucked away on the creek are a number of quaint cabins with a main office and dining room/lodge lounge. The food was amazing and dinner/breakfast were included in the booking we made. The staff was so nice, both on the phone and when we arrived. We arranged for babysitting services so we could enjoy the amazing dinner that was prepared on site during ingredients from the grounds. HIGHLY recommend this spot and hope we can go back sometime soon. Well done, guys.

My son really enjoyed the loft. Clean cabin, hot water, no Wi-Fi so bring some cards. Overall a really nice place to stay.

The Lodge is lovely, as well as the staff. Dinner service and food are a delightful experience. The evening starts with tea service, followed by cocktail hour and then a dinner menu that is selected with dedicated care and creativity. The atmosphere and music are charming background to the talents of the chef, Management and servers. Breakfast leaves much to be desired following such a lovely dinner experience. Although thought and care of gone into the menu plan the execution isn’t quite as strong leaving something to be desired. As well some mood setting music for the day would be a nice touch to round out or continue a similar feel to the presentation and detail of the evening staff. Everyone is very polite and the service is good, but the morning leaves something missing after such an experience as dinner. Overall, this is a lovely place to experience and we will be making it a yearly tradition!
- Lee (10/5): Idyllic spot to unplug - Once you venture winding driveway you encounter a serene spot from yesteryear... with a five star restaurant. The cabin we stayed in was rustic but not as old as it looked with great craftsmanship but probably designed for someone under 6 feet. The bed was soft and very comfortable. Cabin 2 was smaller but with great outlook over creek. Luxurious dinner and breakfast with fresh ingredients grown on site.

- trooper (10/5): A treat. - Looking for Just a bed and hot shower? This isn't it. This is a destination itself. Beautiful grounds, gourmet meals and the expectation that travelers socialize with each other over a three course formal dinner that fills the evening. Exceptional service from all staff. We spent an informative hour with the grounds keeping staff who shared their expertise. Treat yourself to two nights here. Not really a great place for that pre teen family road trip with kids that just want a pool and a plate of Dino buddies and ketchup. Great for older couples and nature lovers.

- Verified traveler (8/5): We've returned many times - We started coming here in the '90s when it was Garland's Lodge. What were particularly enjoy is the food (breakfast and dinner included), ambiance of the lodge, and totally relaxed environment in a wooded area on Oak Creek Canyon. Ordinarily we stay in Cabin #8 which has a king bed and fireplace. This visit we stayed in a smaller creekside cabin. Don't miss the trout on the mornings it is on the breakfast menu. Come with a big appetite for dinner! Unless you request otherwise, you'll probably be seated at a table for four or six...it's fun to meet new people.
- david (10/5): Rustic Place with first class atmoshpere - This place is a little hard to find but, that adds to the charm. It is located in an out of the way location off of 89. The cabins are all clean and weel maintained and feel seculuded enough to make a person feel isolated. The included meals are terrific and all 9 of the staff very friendly as well as helpful. In my opinion cabins 1 through 5 are the ideal spots although all of them are a treat. We are looking forward to our next visit.
