Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I would much rather stay at Regal suites then a hotel from now on. Regal suites has huge apartments with tons of space and different rooms with doors and privacy. and the view and balcony is amazing. loved everything about it.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I had a beautiful apartment all to myself for an amazing value!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The amenities were acceptable but the apartment was cold and not able to turn up the heat. Cable only worked for the first 2 days we were there. There was a constant humming noise from a vent in the hallway. It was like a wind tunnel when you opened the door.
- ian (10/5): great stay - Very good , great location, friendly clean, great internet. perfect for my needs
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great location and amazing view of the city and the river. It seems they didn't vacuum the carpets before we get there and I found cobwebs everywhere!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Perfect location, great price and excellent amenities
- Varun (10/5): Great stay! - Great location, great views. Most importantly, they were very accommodating of my needs. I had to move my schedule around a bit last minute and they adjusted accordingly. Great customer service! Located very close to downtown with most spots within minutes of walking or a short Uber ride.
- melissa (8/5): Downtown convenience and style! - Clean, comfortable, spacious, beautiful riverfront view. Loved it!
- Jtstar (10/5): - Loved everything . Yasmin was great. I would definitely stay there again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful view clean and spacious rooms. Friendly staff.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very nice service, clean and tidy suite, nice night view
- Jose (8/5): - Excellent value for money, would have liked to have toiletries
- GARY (10/5): - Excellent experience, yasmine was great to deal with
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Spectacular views, great location close to downtown
- Verified traveler (10/5): - OUTSTANDING....Yasmin was very courteous and responsive.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Super easy check in with Yasmin.
Excellent river view condo.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Apartments in a condo. Very clean. Staff met me at the door with the key late at night and were still sympathetic to my flight delays. Very courteous.
- J (10/5): Our 1st stay in the city of Calgary. - This was the first trip for my husband and myself The Regal Suites are so well situated to get into the centre of Calgary. The situation of our Suite (on the 16th floor) gave us a stunning view over the river. We found it clean and the amenities were just perfect. Would certainly return.
- Derek (10/5): Great view of Calgary - We had 4 nights in Calgary. Condo was excellent and had great views of the city and Bow River from the 13th floor. Yasmin was very accommodating. And was easy access by foot and car to the city and beyond. Only minor complaint is was when we had windows open was a bit noisy because of the bridge traffic below but all in all excellent place.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Very Good - We had a very friendly reception to this apartment. Weather was very hot and the portable air conditioning helped but meant that windows had to be opened letting in street noise. Otherwise it is a very nicely equipped apartment in a great location.
- Alec (10/5): Great Apartment - Our stay was amazing in Calgary. The staff was so easy to deal with and the apartment was fantastic, with an amazing view of the river. There is a full kitchen with anything you need to cook which was nice to not have to eat out for every meal. It was easy access to most everything in Calgary downtown area. We highly recommend this place for any type of stay in Calgary!
- candace v. (10/5): Great location. Clean. Easy check in! - Yasmine was a peach :)
- Lyn (10/5): Sweet!!! - Nice one bedroom apt. rented out as a suite. Reasonable price per night, and very nice property in the heart of Calgary. We were on the 13th floor with a beautiful view of the river. Completely furnished, with full kitchen and all needed utensils, pans, etc.
- Faye (8/5): - The property is in a great location (but, if you are booking an Uber, either use 315 3rd Street SE or tell the driver the building is across Bookers Crab Shack - if you don't, the driver will end up in a different area of downtown or end up driving in circles for some odd reason). The bed is quite soft so, if like us you have bad backs, this may not work for you. There is no full length mirror in the place so you have to make do with the two bathroom mirrors. As this is an apartment, it may go without saying but take your toiletries. Other than that, the kitchen is fully stocked and if you are going there in the Summer like we did, they have all sorts of fans in the suite which work quite well and a portable air conditioner in the master bedroom (which we didn't end up needing). All in all, we had a great time and loved the apartment.
- Joanne (10/5): - Good location, jus ton the edge of "down town". Perfect if attending the Calgary Stampede, 15-20 mins walk to the ground
- sam (6/5): Easy access in and out of the city. - The stay was fine and suited our needs.
We were moving back to Australia and needed an apartment to live in while sorting the sale of our house. The apartment had everything we needed. The neighbor smoked and smoke would come inside our apartment, preventing us from opening our bedroom window. That was the only manager problem.
Parking was excellent! Yasmin, who helped me get settled in the apartment was also excellent!
Kensington was a stroll over the bridge away. It being Summer, it was always a good a day for a walk. Also their is easy access to the jogging path along the river. Driving in and out of the city from this location was also excellent! Having a full kitchen was a bonus, the kitchen and bathrooms were very clean and had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. My only issue is having to fill this section of the review as I’ve run out of things to say and yet it’s telling me I still have 577 more characters to use. So I’m going to talk about the weather. Most days were fine, not too hot which was great considering the apartment doesn’t have air conditioning. Rained accasionally, but was never a problem as the parking is under cover. Seriously! 316 to go! Crickey! Why? How much can one person say about living in a two bedroom apartment? Ok, I’m going to mention Yasmin again. Great person, funny and helpful! I was delirious from all the running around I had been doing in regards to my house sale and Yasmin had all the patience in the world for me!
- Jane (6/5): Nice apartment but no air conditioning - We were staying in Calgary for 4 nights and thought we would book Regal Suites since it was located in the heart of downtown and we thought we would be close to bars and restaurants. The only restaurant within walking distance was 'Booker's BBQ Rib and Crab Shack'. There were also a lot of street people in the immediate vicinity which was a but troubling. I did not feel comfortable walking around on my own. The 1 bedroom apartment itself was fine, but the major problem was there was no air conditioning in the unit. The suite is on the 13th floor of a high rise building and it was very warm, especially at night. I didn't get a good night's rest for any of our nights there. There was one standing fan provided but that only pushed the hot air around. The property manager brought us another smaller fan and that was a bit better. But if you are staying in downtown Calgary in the warmer months, I would not recommend this unit. There was a small window in the bedroom and a small window in the living room but they provided no relief either. When the windows were open, the traffic was very loud! Not good for sleeping AT ALL! Also the windows were very dirty - we had a beautiful view of the Bow River but could not see it through the grime. The apartment building itself is air conditioned, so when we stepped into the hallway, it was so nice and cool! Both my husband and I were joking that we should have slept in the hallway instead! Too bad .....
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We had a great time. Our room was ready, clean and very comfortable. Well, except for no air conditioner. That's normal in this area. It was very doable! Yasmin was a great help to us.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Service - We were met by Yasmin who went over and above what was required to accommodate us. The facility and location on the Bow River and trails was excellent. Hope to visit soon Many thanks to Yasmin.
- Not Provided (8/5): Not bad - The apartment was nice. The person who cane to check us in smelled strong of alcohol and that was a turn off for us. Rooms were very clean. Total cost ended up being quite a bit more than expected. There is a bit of a hidden cleaning cost of $25 so that made us feel a bit cheated. But other than that the apartment was nice. Beds are comfortable, would be a good place to stay for an extended period.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good stay. - It was nice to stay in a condo/apartment hotel. We had access to laundry, a full kitchen and dishwasher and 2 bathrooms. How vet, it would be better if we had some small extras like shampoo/soap, tissue paper, paper towel for the kitchen, a sponge to wash dishes etc..
- Maypa (10/5): - We stayed in an all furnished one bedroom apartment. They also provided cable tv and free wifi. We liked staying there better than at a hotel as there were no interruptions and less noise in the hallway. It was nice, clean, and everything that we needed. The check in and check out were very easy. We would recommend staying there and would definitely return.
- Christopher (8/5): Great location and view - We ran into travel issues and arrived quite late. Yasmin was very friendly and accommodating despite the late arrival.
This isn't a traditional hotel - more like a VRBO condo rental. That said, it was perfect for our needs. The location was great, there was lots of room for the family, and it was quite comfortable.
The building was nice and well kept. The unit we were in was a little worn but met our needs. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Calgary!
- Michael (8/5): Apartment living. - It's an apartment building with very secure access and concierge. Convenient to walking around the downtown area. No restaurant on the premises. Definitely smell food cooking from other apartments. Id stay there again though.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very nice place, very good location, excellent staff
- anonymous (6/5): Not a Hotel - This is not a hotel. It’s someone renting out their units in a condo building.
It is well-priced, in a great area, with a lovely view, but it did not meet my expectations.
The room I smelled of cigarettes although I had asked for a non-smoking room. Basic facilities were missing (I.e.: garbage, dish soap, etc.). The place was not clean like I would have expected of a hotel (later of dust on blinds, sticky floors, sticky door handles, dirty tv remote).
The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. They even nicely offered a second cleaning, but I was there for work and didn’t want to spend time dealing with that.
- Bob (10/5): - Very conviniently placed, at the center of Calgary Downtown. Staff very helpful and addressed all my questions. Staff was easily approachable any time. I am so pleased :)
- Renelita (10/5): Great Location - Great location. Suite had everything we needed. Great building. Check in & check out convenient. A huge THANK YOU to Yasmin! And Aziz.
- danik (10/5): Delightful - It is a lovely clean condo with very helpful staff and a gorgeous view of Calgary.
- Anastasia (10/5): Winter Stay at Riverfront - Fantastic stay. Excellent service. The suite is in good condition and was well stocked with everything we needed for business travel - WiFi included, hair dryer, iron, washer/dryer, shampoo etc. and a fully functional kitchen.
The suite is in a nice modern building on the edge of downtown. It was an easy walk to Calgary's 15+ connected downtown buildings if you want to stay out of the cold. There's a budget car rental 2 blocks away if you want to explore outside the city.
I would gladly stay here again on my next trip to Calgary.
- James (10/5): - Great value in a very good central location. Yasmin and Aziz were helpful and professional in every aspect dealing with our stay.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Not too bad..... - The building itself is quite run down but the room was clean. Kitchenette was well stocked - everything there should tenants choose to cook. No hand towels or face cloths provided, unfortunately - just large towels. That would be a good addition. No AC but that is not uncommon in a building of this age. I will stay again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Amazing views and service! - Yasmin welcomed us and is amazing! The condo is in a great location with amazing views!
Only downside was the unit does need painting and sofa was quite worn. Deadbolt needs fixing as well.
Neighbors cooking permeated the unit so odour made it difficult to be comfortable. Easy fixes though to make it 5 star awesome!!!
- Jane (10/5): - Good area close to the river. Lovely suite with river view. It was exactly what we needed. Very secure building.
- Bryan (10/5): Great place - Great. Just didn't have a working garage remote. They said they will replace but weren't about to come by apparently.
I would stay here again. I'm sure it was a one off.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great location, close to all downtown amenities. - Quick check-in with representative.
Not quite a hotel experience, but very comfortable and quiet.
- Richard (4/5): Avoid this place - First of all, this is a condo complex that does not allow rentals of less than 30 days, so the rental agent had to meet me at the suite. Lots of texting. On arrival, the elevators were down, and my suite was on floor 13. The elevators were down because the building was cleaning the parkade, and the dust had set off the smoke alarms. There was no on-site superintendent. He was on vacation, and took the elevator key with him. It took hours for another key to be located and the elevators activated. At about 10pm, I walked up to the suite with the agent. The suite was fine, large, clean, nice view, everything I needed except air conditioning. The room was uncomfortable during the day and there was no way to cool it down until after dark when it was cool enough outside to open the windows. At about 11pm the elevators were finally activated and I could get my luggage. Of course the parkade was still closed for the next two days. There was a pay parking lot next door and I was told I would be reimbursed for parking, but I would have had to purchase time twice a day, starting at 6am, very inconvenient. Luckily I was able to move the car to a relative's parking spot about 10 min away and did not need the car, but this was another major disappointment and inconvenience. On check in I was told I would not be charged for the first night, but on check out, they only gave me a $50 credit. I complained but they denied they had promised a free night. Do not stay here!!
- Paul (10/5): Centrally located - In town for event at Stampede grounds, could not have hoped for better. Beautiful view, quiet rooms. Simple instructions for stay made everything easy and coming and going was no issue at all. A much needed get-away success.
- Robert (10/5): Great location downtown with views - Great Easter weekend stay
- Raymond (10/5): - Great alternative to a typical hotel room ! Definitely recommend
