Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (6/5): She's a beaut Clarke. - It was a bed. Not comfortable at all but it was a bed. It's an older hotel that does the job. Our room STUNK like fresh marijuana, I like the smell but it was strong. My kids thought there was a skunk in the room.
We searched the room, looking for the suit case in which someone was coming to pick up but couldn't because we were occupying the room.
- Lucien (8/5): Bed was comfortable - The room could’ve been a little cleaner especially inside the drawers and tub. The $20 fee for a small dog was a little high especially with the cleanliness of the room but on a good note the bed was very comfortable
- Tyler (6/5): - Had a double room. But had severe cig smoke smell but we over came it. Not alot if option left in town due to hockey tourney. If your wife is high faluteing she likely wont enjoy the stay. We drank lots But price is resonable also there boiler heat needs attention as you can hear the air in the system so pipes are clanking 24/7. Just leave bathroom fan on to dull noise when u sleep.
- Ralph (4/5): - Very minimalist. Surly reception. No soap in the rooms. Hole in the wall. Sketchy!
- Janet (4/5): - Unfortunately this was the only option left when we needed a motel room. The only good thing about it was the cost…but you get what you pay for. The sign on the back of the motel that reads “recently renovated” must be 40 years old because our room was in dire need of renovating. The baseboards were falling off and the interior doors were in rough shape. In terms of cleanliness I think the basics were done but nobody has checked the baseboard heater lately. It was beyond dust, it was dirt that I could write my name in and thick cobwebs beside. We were afraid to turn on the ceiling fan for fear dust would be blown all over the room. The windows didn’t open so no opportunity to get some fresh air into the mildew smelling room. There was no soap in our room and when we asked for some early in the morning we were told they could get it to us later that afternoon which they did. But that is the first time I have had to wait 8 hours to get soap in a hotel! The bed was equally old and squeaked and shuddered with every movement. The bedspread had a huge hole in it. If none of the above matters to you, it is a cheap place to hang your hat for the night just don’t expect much.
- Amanda (6/5): - Wouldn’t stay here again
- Jodi (8/5): - Just in town for hunting, needed a place to lay our heads down and this place was perfect for that! Beds were comfortable and room was clean!
- Verified traveler (4/5): - When we arrived, the attendant did not have the reservation. He assigned us a room which had not been clearned. Then another one which was occupied. Finally, the correct room. Very basic and even though it said newly renovated, it was not the case. We stayed two nights. When we arrived to sleep on the second night, the room had not been cleaned. Not impressed.
- Lisa (4/5): - Room didn’t look like the picture at all. It was very outdated, which would have been fine if it was clean, which it wasn’t. Service was decent.
- Alisa (4/5): - Bring your pillow! There are only two pillows per bed. Though it may say wifi is available, the connection is very poor so expect to use your data. You have to use the door bell to the main office because the office door is always locked. All reservations are written down manual, there is no computer system. Needs serious updating!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was good for what we needed, the room was clean!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Good value, comfortable beds, clean room, close to lots of amenities.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I liked that it was a clean room and It was close to a few restaurants. Dislikes would be that the beds where a little firm.
- tanya (10/5): - This is a basic hotel which reflects the price. But the bed was comfortable, wifi good, tv new and room very Clean! very good value!
- James (8/5): - The staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs.
- Denise (8/5): Good thrifty stay - Business travel and need to watch expenses.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Economy motel no frills - Clean room comfortable bed. Very basic ideal for short stay
- Brian (8/5): Worth the price. - Good price, OK room
- Greg (8/5): Great hopitslity - This is a basic motel in the centre of town. Few amenities but there is a fridge and microwave. Also BBQ. No coffee maker. Clean and comfortable. The owner was helpful and informative.
- Verified traveler (10/5): A fine place to stay. - The Motel Owner, Bill, was friendly and helpful. Now if you're looking for plush luxury, this isn't it; However, the motel was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The room came with air conditioning, a mini fridge, and a microwave. It also had free wifi and a flat screen TV with cable. From it's location, you can walk anywhere in town and see the sights. The towns people were friendly and said hello as I passed them on the street. The only down side was that I had ZERO cellular service in the area during my stay. Apparently only sasktel covers that area, so my freedom mobile was nothing more then a paper weight during my stay. Good thing there was a pay phone with-in walking distance from the motel.
