Guest Reviews
- Karen (10/5): - Room and staff
- Karen (10/5): Chapparal Motor Inn - The staff/owners. Milli was amazing!
The room was very clean and comfortable. The mattress was the best!
Breakfast was better than Best Western! N/A
- Jeff (8/5): Getting overpriced - Comfortable Stinky location
- Scholar (9/5): Comfortable room, slept well. - I had driven over 500 miles that day.
I remember that I was glad to finally arrive. Got the key opened the door, set my items down, and fell asleep.
I don't remember anything until my phone woke me up the next morning.
- Wren (7/5): -
- Gonzalez (9/5): -
- Jodie (7/5): - Breakfast was not adequate. We went elsewhere. This hotel, I think, caters to alot of workers - judging from the number of trucks parked in front of the hotel rooms.
- Howard (8/5): -
- Robyn (9/5): Stopover on a road trip - It was comfortable and breakfast was provided and staff were helpful
It was near a good restaurant Air con is a bit noisy at times but not all the time
- Leslie (10/5): Great place to stay. Friend staff. Great value. - Rooms clean, newly remodeled Nothing
- Doug (9/5): - The facility's exterior is a little dated, but the rooms are very large and clean. The included breakfast included scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, make-your-own waffles, fruit, pastries, juice and coffee. This place had everything I could have asked for. Nothing
- MICAIAH (8/5): Nice stay and an economical fee. - At check-in, the attendant behind the desk learned that I was going to be sharing the room with my daughter and he graciously upgraded our room to a King Size room because he had availability that night to do so...I was very appreciative of the upgrade.
- Lisa (8/5): - Very clean and quiet. The beds were very comfortable.

- f6632628b71e70e0f75753e4b0715ea5 (10/5): Don't Pass This By - Room was clean and comfortable. Staff very kind and friendly. When we checked in, we got an upgrade to a king room--very nice. Excellent location just off of I-70. Parking directly in front of room. Highly recommend!

- 0f911831822072603441ded751f8bf75 (8/5): - It met my expectations and provided everything I needed.
- Charlotte (7/5): -
- Kevin (9/5): -
- Bobbi (8/5): - Cleanliness Beds too high off the ground. Wasn't made aware of adjoining room & it was noisy.
- Voyles (8/5): - Staff was friendly and willing to be helping with anything that came up! We were able to check in early for a small fee after driving several hours and were greatful for that! The shower flooded a bit due to the tub being shallow. would help if there was a drain in the bathroom.
- Cynthia (8/5): Reliably clean, safe and friendly which is most important to me - Great location always clean. In the process of renovation in the same room the last two stays. Once the walls in bath and painting in room is done it will be much nicer but it should be completed soon. The incompleted tile work in bath and walls needing fresh paint.
- Bays (8/5): Burlington Co - Danny was very helpful Clean rooms Breakfast bar was in need of repair
- Cynthia (5/5): Clean enough, convenient location but pricey for the very modest and not completed finished room. - Location right off I-70 Improvements have been made but room had small holes in the wall and wasn’t painted/completed. No decent TV channels. Pricey for what it is. Why would I pay extra (via envelope in the room) for a room that should be spotless to begin with. They don’t pay their maid service enough and the room was clean but not spotless.
- Mark (10/5): -
- Shelby (8/5): -
- Barb (4/5): Clearly looks like it's family run. For the money was disappointing and not at all restful. - The waffle maker was nice but the syrup container was empty and no butter available. Breakfast area was spread throughout a large open drafty room, no trays available to carry food back to the room. Some of the store bought cookies and the cold cereal were stale. Toilet seat was so old and cracked that there is no way it could be sanitary. Had to cover it with fresh toilet paper each use. Even though the linens (towels, wash clothes, blankets) seemed to be laundered, most were torn, edges shredded and stained so badly we were not comfortable using them. The bedsheets and bedspreads were only thing newer and mostly white! Toilet/shower fan came on automatically with light switch and is so LOUD we just didn't use it , leaving the door open a bit for light. ALL of the light bulbs in room were very bright, blue tint, overwhelming to have more than one bulb on at a time. Not comfortable to use! About 10p.m. trying to sleep discovered room was across parking lot from a truck stop, yes, semis running engines all night!

- Cydney (8/5): Our best night’s sleep so far on our trip cross country! - Super comfortable beds and very clean over all, which is just what you want after a long day of driving. The lighting was a bit funny but really who cares?
- Travis (10/5): -
- Kenneth (10/5): - Great location. Clean and comfy. Nothing
- Jessica (10/5): -
- William Elliott (10/5): Classic “vintage motel” charm with nicely updated modern rooms. Clean, comfortable, convenient, safe and affordable. - Classic “vintage motel” charm with nicely updated modern rooms. Clean, comfortable, convenient, safe and affordable. Nothing lacking
- Joraemom (8/5): - Great location. Car park right in front of door. Beds were very high. Hard to get in for shorter people.
- Lonnie (7/5): Was a good place just to rest for one night - The Hair Dryer was broke …Also a concern seeing the swimming pool had been turned into a Garden ?
- Juan (7/5): -
- Rodolfo (1/5): - Nothing All. Worst breakfast, uncomfortable beds, too old and poor maintenance!!!
- Maureen (9/5): - Good value, family that runs the place were friendly, bed was comfy, breakfast was good.
- Dustan (6/5): -
- Angela (8/5): -
- Julie (8/5): road trip short stay expectations met - full breakfast was welcome
- Colette (6/5): - Comfortable bed. Breakfast was not replenished after a large crowd was there and I had to wait. The bath tub and sink didn't drain well. Cheap coffee in the room that didn't taste good.
- Przemyslaw (5/5): - The motel needs some updates but thanks to its location has a potential to serve people well. The room we got needs a redo, lots of marks of minor fixes done over years, but also still lots of marks requiring attention. A/C/heating was loud, so we had to switch it off (below freezing outside in the morning). Breakfast is typical and very basic.
- Daniel (10/5): Very comfortable location with great hospitality. Felt like a home away from home. Breakfast was also really good! - Well taken care of and great hospitality Location is okay
- Christopher (3/5): Not good - Next to food places and a grocery store Sucked at cleaning the room and did not have a microwave for the first 3 nights the shower leaked all over the floor
- John (8/5): -
- makayla (8/5): -
- Hansen-Lane (8/5): - Clean, comfortable bed Expensive for the style
- Gary (10/5): Exceeded expectations! - Room, staff, breakfast , all good! All good
- stevefW9257HZ (8/5): Tall beds don't fall out! - Have been staying here for appro . 8 years , 2 or 3 times a year on our way to Denver! Always clean and safe. This time , still clean and safe but the rates have shot up and they have new beds, although comfortable but are extremely tall! I'm 6'5 and sitting on the edge my feet don't touch the floor! My wife hated it and we also had an 82 year old woman travling with us who could hardly get in and out. Don't think that I will be back!
- Valadez (8/5): -
- Dolores Annette (10/5): - Staff n clean rooms N/A
- Dwight (8/5): -
- RoadGuys2 (6/5): Top notch property, poor value. - I'm a bit conflicted on this review because I really like the owners here. This is the best looking park-at-door property you will see anywhere garnering great reviews. But . . .
The bed had a foam top and it felt like it was trying to dump me out. Extremely bright lights in the room and outside. In room coffee was sparse. Hot breakfast was mediocre, at best. Cost approached $200 for the night. Ouch. Other hotels in the area are also way overpriced which is perplexing as Burlington has few redeeming qualities and is definitely not a "destination".
- Byron (7/5): Just a place to stay -
- Hazel (8/5): - Supporting this family-owned business was a reason we chose this motel for our one-night as we drove cross-country. A typical motel by the side of the freeway that serves breakfast and provides comfortable lodging. Definitely recommend.
- Brad (10/5): - Clean. Comfortable bed. Good shower pressure
- DAVID (8/5): - It looked to be a fairly new A/C - Heating unit, but being an allergy sufferer, I always check filters and these were exceptionally dirty. I washed them off and reinserted.
I will say that I love a firm mattress and what I slept on was wonderful!
- diana (9/5): This family run Inn was great for the price.my husband thought it was eclectic and fun after our resort stay. Just a qui - The beds were comfortable. The shower excellent. The breakfast was great and had fruit!! The staff was so nice and helpful. The shades kept the light out. I use a fan app so I don’t know about road noise but it’s close to the road. There was a slight smell when we got to our room but once the air was on it went away. They have remodeled adding updated lights with USB accommodations so there are small screw holes in the wall. Nothing but aesthetics so it did not bother us. I’m used to construction. I like to see a family work hard to make an honest living.
- Ron (5/5): -
- Tony (10/5): - The bathroom needs to have some serious work done
- Wilson (10/5): Excellent value for the money ! - For the relative lower cost of our stay, the breakfast served was better than hotels I've payed twice as much. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The management and staff seemed fully committed to our satisfaction. Since this is an older facility the noise level from the outside was noticeable. Would help if the door and window were upgraded.
- Morena (9/5): Would stay again if ever passing through again. - Friendly person at check in.
Comfortable bed.
Full hot breakfast.
Nice outside with grass and with luminous lights. I found that the tub had dark spots and my husband and I had to share one shower towel because one of the towels didn’t look clean as it had suspicious spots on it.
- Daniel (9/5): -
- Roland (6/5): - This is an older hotel that needs some work, but the staff was more than kind. Our room needed work, and I left them a list. Breakfast was decent.
- Gay (10/5): - Good Breakfast
- Bill (8/5): - 😴
- Michael (10/5): - Room was clean. Shower was clean and powerful. Breakfast was ok. This is an older motel that has been updated. It’s great for overnight on the road and quiet reasonably priced compared to all the other options there
- Pam (10/5): - Nice room for the price. Nice continental breakfast. Friendly staff.
- Trigg (8/5): - Clean and comfortable. The property could use a drag coat of paint and a repair to their signage, but the room was great.
- John (6/5): Not the Greatest - The reviews of this redone older hotel were very good. The room was clean, but the oldness was highlighted in the bathroom where the sink clogged when brushing teeth, as did the shower. The fit and finish was apparently forgotten. My husband couldn’t wait to leave in the morning. The highlight was the restaurant across the street, called The Dish.
- Sandee (10/5): Nice property - Nice motel very clean and neat, park by your room. Lots of restaurants near by.
- Frank (7/5): Quick overnight traveling through. - Clean, quiet Our bed was just too high to get in comfortably. Once in bed it was fine. We had to use a chair to climb in.
- John (10/5): It totally lived up to all the good reviews I read about it. I would definitely stay here again. - Staff was very friendly. Room was clean & very comfortable. Really nothing especially for the money.
- Charles (6/5): -
- Cavanaugh (7/5): It was good - It was clean Bathtub fixtures needed to be replaced - a little more attention could have been given to keeping breakfast items stocked
- Robin (8/5): - Paint chipped off the wall made room look a little run down but it was very clean and the beds were comfortable although super tall. It was very quiet. The innkeeper recommended The Dish Room for supper. It was excellent and affordable. Safeway next door with Starbucks and ice was convenient.
- Norman (7/5): I need a place to stay and sleep for one night. - Staff was very friendly and willing to help. Room was clean and comfortable. It is a little older so just the basics.
- Christiana (10/5): - They are amazing every time we stay here and they are sweet.
- Qin (8/5): Nice - Safe, clean and convenient. The breakfast is better than average. Very nice owner. It would be better to update the quality of the bedsheets. But overall, it is a minor issue.
- Glenn (10/5): Excellent value and service. - Very clean with outdoor facilities. Hotel owners were very focused on customer needs and satisfaction. Great location near highway, gas, stores, and restaurants. If I was in this region again, I would stay here! Nothing.
- Andrei (3/5): -
- Stephanie (10/5): - Very clean and safe. Staff at front desk was polite and helpful
- Amanda (10/5): - I will absolutely stay here again and also recommend them to everyone I know! The Staff was very Welcoming and Friendly! Anytime I saw them in passing they waved and said hello! I was even upgraded to a King bed for the Queen bed price just because the Gentleman at the counter wanted too! Super nice of him! I felt very safe there and the bed was comfortable! I’m definitely glad I chose to stay here!
- Dana (10/5): Excellent Motor Inn - This was a great roadside motel. It occupies an important position connecting two states and is reasonably priced. It was clean and efficient with a very good breakfast.
- Ann (10/5): - The property, owners and room was nice. The breakfast was very bad. The waffle machine was empty, banana overripe and dark , Only one orange had mold on it Cofffee tasted old. The juice containers were almost empty and I did not want it from bottom of conainer. A few bagels and some other good but did not wNt to try because all else was bad
- Kentt (10/5): - It was Greaaaaaaat!!
- Teresa (10/5): Awesome place.highly recommend - Softest bed ever, great breakfast, clean, comfortable, near everything, love having door to outside instead of going inside to find room The ONLY thing not perfect was the tub drain was slow
- Mark (9/5): - Large, spacious room. Very comfortable beds ("all new beds" says owner Danny). Clean, great value compared to more expensive chain hotels. Only a single floor of rooms, so nobody stomping around above you all night. Park right in front of your door, NO steps. Located right off I-70, with very close dining options. This is a real "Mom & Pop" family owned and ran motel. Great for a single night or multiple nights stay (large size mini fridge, and microwave). And, Danny maintains one of the plushest motel lawns you will see, except maybe at a golf resort. I have stayed here twice (once solo, and this time with my wife) and will again the next time we are in Burlington. Is the Chaparral perfect? No, especially if you are used to staying at Hiltons (nothing against Hiltons) but good luck finding a better value for any interstate motel as comfortable, convenient , and friendly as I have found this one. Even my "discerning" wife liked it, and believe me, that says it all....
- Perri (1/5): -
- Thomas (10/5): -
- Byron (10/5): - Lovely family operation, extremely clean and professionally operated!
- erin (10/5): -
- John (8/5): - Friendly staff
- garnet159 (8/5): Good place to stay - We're on an extended road trip and stayed here while passing through. The room was clean and comfortable. Nice bed and pillows. Fridge has a freezer. Great shower pressure and the water gets really hot. Breakfast was just OK. Only 2 tables in the breakfast area. No milk was in sight for the cereal and I didn't ask for it. I'd recommend it for the price and comfort.
- RICKIE (9/5): The manager was one of the nicest managers I ever met very helpful - The room was clean. They were polite and nice accommodating. They had a good breakfast buffet.
