The recomended pub where you get a 10 % discount was the best pub we tried in England. Also the pub was so cosy and nicely decorated. And the food great!

Parking was tricky, we knew it was on street parking but we couldn't get a space anywhere near but it was a Bank Holiday weekend to be fair. Ours was not a very large room but comfortable and had everything needed.

Audrey and her team were great, customer service was great. Definitely will book again. Just a little suggestion to upgrade the mini fridge in the room as it did not really work and was noisy.

- Adrian (10/5): My favourite hotel - I stayed for one night while passing Eastbourne for business. I picked the right hotel! I was met at reception by the landlady who showed me my balcony room. It was immaculate and had a really personal touch. There was a view from my balcony out to sea. Lovely. Breakfast was included and was really good. There were families from all over Europe staying and nothing seemed to be too much trouble for the staff. This is my favourite hotel now. Not the cheapest hotel around but definitely value for money

- Andy (9/5): A little gem, with lovely people, and close to amenities. - From our arrival, the welcome and environment felt homely and inviting. The communal area is really nice, even having an honesty bar, which again made the place feel special. The breakfast was great, with the staff having a nice balance of being attentive, but not too much! We will definitely stay here again. The room we stayed in was nice, clean and had everything you needed. It is not the most modern of rooms, with a small pet hate - a shower curtain!!

- David (10/5): - We had a lovely 3 night stay at this Hotel. We were greeted and looked after by a very friendly and caring host and staff. Breakfast was freshly cooked and there was a good menu. We had room 3 with a big balcony overlooking the promenade with sunshine from early morning to late afternoon. Hotel is spotlessly clean throughout. Thoroughly recommend.

- Martin webb (10/5): - Perfect location. Just a 10 minute walk from the town. There's off road parking. The place was immaculate. Free WiFi. The most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. The host was wonderful and ran a drinks bar on trust. The breakfast was cooked to order with the best ingredients. 100% recommended and 10/10 facilities. I will definitely be staying there again. Thank you. There was nothing to dislike.

I've stayed in a lot of hotels and been looked after (it's part of a package); but here it feels that it's on a more personal level (not because they have to). Well done to all at The New England.

- Terry (8/5): 80th birthday break - Surprised the bed wasn’t made up or the bathroom cleaned. Morning breakfast made chef aware I didn’t like runny eggs and to ensure the egg yoke was hard on all of the breakfasts the egg yokes were runny I therefore couldn’t eat them that was disappointing. However everything else was to the highest of standards nice staff

- Robert (7/5): Allways nice - Have stayed here 3 times now and is always good My fault my wife struggled with the 2 flight of stairs as she had major op last year should have arranged a lower floor when I booked and perhaps a front balcony room and not one at the back with no balcony

- caroline (10/5): audri welcomed us in a lovely friendly manner. Very accommodating and helpful. Overall a lovely stay - Superb hotel which was spotless and excellent location on the sea front. Room was cosy for 1 night with bath and shower and again spotlessly clean. Breakfast excellent with plenty of choice. Cannot fault this hotel.
