• Olof (1/5): Three rooms in two nights is not worth the “luxury”price - Not much Unbelievable. We stayed in room 628 last night. Air conditioning to get some heat in the room not working. It's cold in Pretoria: 15 degrees celsius. Problem reported to management who sent out maintenance. They came and vanished. Later on we were requested to go to room 432 as that aircon was functional. We did pack up and moved. Worked for the night. After returning today, same problem in a different room. Aircon not working, again with same issue. I had to again report this with the same scenario. Maintenance came out and after having a look said it was Daekin's issue and it was reported. I was just offered a cooling fan as alternative- imagine. Currently waiting on manager to give us a proper solution. I am considering going over to menlyn mall to buy a portable heater. These people just offered us a third room in two days!!!. Really inconvenient and bizarre I would say. Not much "Menlyn Maine Luxury" here... avoid if you do not wish to experience unbelievable inconveniences, confrontation and frustration. And please management,do not come with that press release "thank you for your review we are trying to make the experience better blah blah blah". I am disgusted. Eventually had to move to room number 3. Aircon again not working.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the start. Our room was spotless, well-maintained, and consistently refreshed. The included breakfast was phenomenal - a full buffet with everything you could think of, all fresh and beautifully prepared. The location is also perfect - central and convenient for everything. Overall, a fantastic experience. We’ll definitely be back!

• Sharmz1213 (6/5): There seems to be no effeciency - We had to call reception multiple times as we waited long for someone to come and assist us in the room with the tv yet they were quick to call us to ask when we would be checking out when we were a few minutes over check out times due to my partner being extremely sick. The room service was bad, we waited long for our food and when it got to us the fries was cold. I ordered a toasted cheese sandwich but instead received what looked like a panini with slices of cheese on and some herb sauce. The bread itself seemed stale as well. At this point it was past 11pm and I was in no mood to reorder anything else. There wasn't even a porter waiting for us, at least by the lifts, to help us with our bags. We paid over R2500 for that ONE NIGHT stay and you couldn't even help us with our bags!! Extremely disappointing.

Every area, from the lobby to the rooms, was clean and well maintained, which made the stay even more comfortable. The food was another highlight—fresh, delicious, and with plenty of variety. Room was very spacious and very clean. We loved the Bar fridge in the room, we could buy water, cooldrinks and fruit to keep in the fridge. Location is perfect, close to Menlyn Mall and many restaurants.

I appreciated how responsive the team was to small requests during my stay. Their positive attitude really made a difference after long days of work and travel. The room was clean, quiet, and well organized. The bed was comfortable, the workspace was convenient, and the Wi-Fi connection was reliable throughout my stay. I especially liked the natural lighting and the fact that everything from the bathroom to the linens was well maintained. The location is a major advantage. It’s close to key transport options and within easy reach of restaurants and shops, which made it convenient to move around. The hotel amenities were also useful, particularly the breakfast service and common areas where one can relax or work. What I liked best was the friendliness of the staff and the comfort of the room. What I liked least was that at certain hours, common areas could get a bit busy, but this did not significantly affect my stay. Tips for future guests: If you’re traveling for work or events, this is a reliable and comfortable option. Try to confirm your booking details in advance during peak travel periods to avoid delays at arrival.
