• Simon (4/5): - Our room was tiny and very much in need of an update. It was dark, the windows had piles of spiders outside them, so although it was quite hot in the room we were NOT opening the windows - need screens!! The bathroom was a ‘step up’ which was a bit awkward in the middle of the night, and the TV was very small. Nowhere to sit in the room comfortably to watch TV - only on the bed, wedged up with pillows. Not so comfy. The carpets were dirty, the hallways needed a fresh coat of paint, there were plastic plants all over, and flashing disco lights on the ceiling of the lobby area. They did offer a pre-dinner drink, which was nice, but because the hotel did not seem clean, we chose not to eat dinner there. The breakfast buffet was very lacklustre - there was a lot of variety but it was not great quality. We tasted many things they offered, but in the end just stuck to the yogurt and canned fruit in a bowl. They do need to up their game. One of 2 massage chairs was broken - only one half of the chair worked - and it actually was really painful - if it is broken, either fix it or remove it. The coffee in the morning was good, and the sunrise view was SPECTACULAR!

• Sarah (8/5): Join the Japanese for a Holiday! - We loved staying here! It felt like being part of the Japanese vacation scene. Shoes off on arrival. We joined the Japanese in the spacious lounge for happy hour (4-6PM) & like them, we wandered around the facilities in hotel-issue pyjamas & slippers - what a fab idea after a relaxing onsen. The buffet breakfast & evening meal were plentiful & many local dishes were available. We found all the staff to be kind & friendly. The view from the restaurant is amazing & listening to the birdsong was a delight. Our bedroom was one of the most spacious we have stayed in during our travels in Japan. Free tea, coffee & water were constantly available in the lounge. We would be happy to return. There are no laundry facilities in the hotel.

• Mio (8/5): - 家族旅行で利用しました。 まずお出迎えからよくて、荷物も運んでもらいました。 着いてからはハッピーアワーでドリンクや、簡単なデザートが食べ放題でよかったです。 温泉も貸し切り風呂もあり時間は短い感じでしたが入れました。 ご飯は妊婦がいたりと食事の提供を考慮してもらったり、本当に助かりました！ 誕生日サプライズもうまくいきました。 美味しかったです。 夜にはカラオケや卓球などアクティビティもできました。 夜食の提供もあってびっくりでした。 部屋もゆっくりできる広々で松島までみえました！！ 予約の確認での電話があった時のおじさんの対応は残念でしたが（食事形態を変えるのは料金が高くなる）、他の人の対応は柔軟で、そのままの金額で対応できますと快く受けてくださりました！ また、小さな子供がいる方はベビーベッドの貸し出しもあります！アメニティもたくさんです。 洗濯機がなかったのが残念です。 車があれば10分ほどのところにコインランドリーがあります。
• robert (10/5): - This was the best place I have stayed at yet!! The staff is so nice, and respectable they all deserve a raise!! Breakfast was amazing and so was dinner. They have dinners that correlate with the seasons. And while you are in matsushima you must try the oysters.

• Toshimi (10/5): - ウェルカムドリンクがお酒も含めて充実しており、ありがたかった。到着前に駅前近辺で、焼きガキ、カキフライ、穴子メシと散々堪能してたので、夜はパスしたが、翌朝の朝食は豊富で美味しかった。夜も食べれば良かったか…と、ちょっと後悔した。 フロントのお姉さんも日本語堪能で、明るく気配り最高‼️お兄さん方もおじさん(失礼　笑い😆)も気さく、気持ち良く過ごせました。

• Whimsy (10/5): - This was a lovely property; however, like many Japanese hotels, it uses too much chlorine in the cleaning. There was so much chlorine in the sheets that my skin and eyes were burning, and we had to open the windows. The staff is EXCELLENT. Service is EXELLENT I have no complaints about the service. My friend and I shared a room with two beds, but there was only one night near my friend's bed, so I had nowhere to place my things. The room could use another small table. The food was good and very generous.

• michiko (10/5): - 今回で3回目の宿泊でした。ハッピーアワーがあって着いてすぐゆっくり過ごす事ができて満足しています。 夕食はブュッフェとしゃぶしゃぶがメインで豚しゃぶとタンと牛の３種類。夫と２人でお腹がいっぱいになります。何ならお肉の量は３分の２か半分でもいいかも。今回も少し残してしまいました。ブュッフェの海老フライをもう１つ食べたいくらいでしたが無理でした。 ホテルの雰囲気もよく、非常に満足でした。

• Sneddle (8/5): A comfortable stay in a beautiful area. - We selected Breeze bay based on the reviews: and it did not disappoint. Although the building is not as modern or fancy as some others closer to the water, it was comfortable and provided all we could want. The facilities at the hotel are varied, and target guest relaxation: we especially enjoyed the private pool. The food in the restaurant was extremely tasty and well presented. The staff are the best feature of this hotel. From the greeting at the front door to the service in the restaurant, the staff are friendly and efficient. For overseas guests, this personal touch makes everything more comfortable. This might seem like a small thing, but the staff were putting up a Christmas tree as we arrived, and the simple pleasure they showed, made me feel very much at home. As a final comment We were very grateful to have a taxi deliver us to and from the JR train station. We are non-smokers, and Although our room had no odour, there was quite a strong smell in the corridor.
• Maddoba (9/5): An enjoyable Japanese-style resort in a beautiful town, catering more to couples than solo travelers - As the name states, this facility is more of a Japanese resort than a Western-style hotel (e.g., shoes off when entering the lobby, etc.); this was a nice change. Its location was a long walk uphill; however the resort offered free transportation upon arrival and departure from the JR train station. The uphill location compensated with an excellent view of Matshushima Bay. The entire staff was very helpful, although only one person in the resort seemed to speak English. The guest lounge on the main floor was very nice, with complementary alcohol and snacks in the afternoon. The hot pot / buffet dinner at the resort was generous, atmospheric, and delicious. My room (319) was not comfortable. It did not have a desk to write on, and the two small, straight-back chairs were uncomfortable. The bed was comfortable, with the exception of two small, too-firm (at least for Westerners) pillows. The view out the window was of the resort's rooftop. The Japanese breakfast buffet looked very good (although I did not try it); the Western food offering was meager, comparatively. The guests at the resort were all couples or families. I, as a solo traveler, felt somewhat out of place -- and the language barrier did not help. This was on me, however. On a positive side, I really enjoyed immersing myself in the Japanese-style resort atmosphere.
• Robert (4/5): Disappointing - Location. Facility tired - needs updating. Bed and especially pillow very uncomfortable. Restaurant fully booked when we arrived. They asked us to wait in lounge for maybe an hour. After 1 hour of waiting, we asked, only to find they had forgotten about us. Not happy!
• Colin (7/5): Comfortable, catering for tourists. - Location is slightly out of town, but easily walkable, albeit uphill. Free taxi to and from the station. Very spacious and comfortable room, but I think we were lucky to have a view as most rooms look out on trees. Extensive range of food for both breakfast and dinner. Free coffee, soft drinks and some alcohol during the day. Seems popular with overseas tourists and families with children. This must have been a top of the range hotel in the 1980's, with a grand lobby and extensive dining room overlooking the bay. But now it seems to be reinventing itself without actually knowing what it wants to be. Balinese music plays all day and there are Balinese artefacts scattered about for no apparent reason. The lounge is crammed with children's play area, mismatched furniture, Karaoke machine, foot and back massage chairs, playstation, self-service bar and an all day supply of boiled eggs. Some quite noisy guests.

• Tracy (9/5): A hotel with a great view and very attentive staff! - While this hotel has 'Seaside Resort' in the name, it is actually located quite a way from the seaside. It does, however have what is possibly the best view over the town and bay. We were warmly welcomed, and given an early check-in, which was appreciated, and allowed us to go out exploring the area. There were a lot of perks to staying at this hotel, including a 'happy hour' which had free snacks and drinks, bicycles, and the buffet breakfast and dinner (both of which we would recommend). Staff here were exceptional, both in friendliness and knowledge of the hotel and things to do in the area. A hotel shuttle is available, but in saying that, we chose to just walk to and from the train station (about 10min away, but up a bit of a hill on the way there). We also made use of the free hotel bikes - they had tiny wheels (about 11"), but for all that, were well-maintained and nice to ride. While our room was spacious, with a lot of extras, it was unfortunately dark, and overlooking the carpark. If we stayed here again, I would probably opt to pay the extra for a room with a view, or a south facing room.

• てるゆき (10/5): - 今回２回目の宿泊です。スタッフの方々も丁寧な対応をいただいてとても気持ちが良かったです。ドリンクサービス(アルコールも)あり、貸しきりお風呂無料等、建物は新しくはないですが清潔に保たれていて居心地が良かったです。朝食も美味しかったです。
• Verified traveler (10/5): 基本的には快適に過ごせます - 施設設備はキレイで充実しています。風呂なども工夫されていて、快適に過ごせます。 不満点としては、駅までのアクセスが徒歩では良くないので、シャトルバスなどがあれば良かったことと、近くにコンビニがないので、売店を充実させてほしかったことです。レストラン以外でも松島ビールを飲みたかった。
• Takaaki (8/5): 感想 - お風呂上がりに飲む水等の設置があったが中が空だった。駐車場が狭い。部屋は一階は全く景色がない。竹藪の中で山の中に泊まってるのと勘違いする。貸切風呂は２種類あるが全く同じ内容の風呂。朝のモーニングには冷たいお茶の設置がない。夜の豚しゃぶに関しては肉が臭くて全く食べれない。いろいろ改善の余地がある場所があると思いました。 基本的に豚しゃぶ以外の料理、朝はいくらもあったりで料理は美味しかったです。

• Verified traveler (8/5): - We arrived at Matsushima kaigan JRStation with our luggage in tow. Not seeing the pay phones conveniently located by the station to request a shuttle, we walked the hill to Matsushima Breezbay. Check in was very smooth and the staff were kindly using English to assist with explanations of the facility. Our room was clean and very nicely situated with a partial view of Matsushima Bay. We reserved the ‘half board’ option which included delicious Shabu-Shabu (Japanese hotpot) featuring Matsushima’s famous oysters (Kaki) and Sendai’ Beef Tongue (Gyutan). Dinner also included a generous buffet you can enjoy as your hotpot heats up. Breakfast was an equally generous mix of Japanese and Western offerings including sausage, pre-made hot cakes and Belgian waffles, salad, rice, pickles and deep fried oysters. Both meals were delicious! Both nights we stayed, we made use of the private bath. The included shampoo, conditioner and body lotions were handy and the bubbling waters of the bath melted all the stress away. My only negative comment for the baths though was the strong smell of chlorine emanating from the water. My favorite part of the hotel was watching the sunset over Matsushima Bay whilst enjoying the delicious meals and awaking early in the morning and hearing the birds outside. Such a relaxing stay!

• Shintaro (10/5): コスパなプチリゾートホテル - 今回、職場の職員旅行で利用しました。参加人数が11人であったのですが、間違えて10名で予約してしまい到着時にその事が判明。でも、追加料金も安く対応して頂け幹事としても助かりました。高台のロケーションですが松島海岸までさほど遠くなく歩いて15分足らずで移動可能な為、瑞巌寺や牡蠣小屋などが利用しやすく満足できました。浴室も清潔感が有り、入浴後にヤクルトやアイスキャンデーのサービスが有り火照った体を癒してくれ、ホッとしました。又、卓球台が2台有り楽しめました。施設内はバリをイメージしての作りで明るい感じでした。サービスは、あまりくどくなく自由に過ごせました。
• Haru-chan (8/5): - 部屋は広く、シンプルで、落ち着いた気分になれた。 朝ご飯、美味しかった。カーテンがなく、板戸を締める構造が面白かった。廊下は長く、照明ランプがエキゾチックだった。バリの音楽がBGMとして流れていて、心地よかった。翌朝のタクシーの手配もスムーズにしていただけた。窓の戸袋の中にいたのではないかと思われるカメムシが一匹、天井をゆっくり移動していたのを捕まえ、ティッシュにくるんでまどの外へ逃がしてやった。臭いと思ったので、ティッシュごとほおりださせてもらいました。

Further and steeper walk from train station than we anticipated, but easy taxi service always available to/from hotel. Only regret is that we did not use bath,, and too short of stay. Matsushima is beautiful and culturally rich.

• あいえす (8/5): バリのリゾートみたいなホテル - 松島海岸駅まで歩いて行けるので、ホテルに車を置いて出掛けられます。 貸切のお風呂が2つありましたが、予約がいっぱいで利用出来ませんでした。男女に別の大浴場もあるのでそちらを利用させてもらいました。お部屋は広いし朝食での景色が良かったので居心地は良かったと思います。
• kai sang (8/5): A comfortable hotel with good food - A comfortable resort hotel with reasonable size rooms and friendly staff. They offer very good shabu shabu dinner at affordable price. The best part is that they offer private onsens for couples and family with no extra charges. The only problem is the location up a hill side not easy to access on foot. However they do offer free shuttle van to the JR station at short notice. We enjoy the food and the onsen. Good for value. They have western style and japanese style rooms. we are very happy to have a choice as we are not comfortable to sleep on tatami.

• Verified traveler (6/5): 駅近 - 松島まで徒歩で行きます。 今回泊まった部屋からは、残念ながら松島は見れませんでしたが、10分くらい歩いて西行戻り公園に到着できます。朝の散歩にちょうどいいかもしれません。公園からの朝日は絶景でした。
