• Christa (10/5): Wunderschönes Anwesen mit herrlichem Garten. - Das historische Anwesen wurde behutsam restauriert und modern ausgestattet. Das Bad wurde komplett neu renoviert. Das Zimmer war ebenerdig zugänglich, was sehr praktisch war. Es gibt einen großen Garten mit wunderschöner Gestaltung. Zum einen ist ein schöner Swimmingpool mit Liegen und Schirme vorhanden, zum anderen ist der Garten mit Bäumen, Blumen und Rosen sehr schön bepflanzt. Es gibt viele angenehme Sitzplätze. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und kümmern sich herzlich um die Gäste. Zudem pflegen sie das Anwesen vortrefflich. Ausserdem sind genug Parkplätze in unmittelbarer Nähe vorhanden. Das nette Dorf bietet gute Versorgungsmöglichkeiten. Es gibt eine hervorragende Bäckerei mit Café für ein italienisches Frühstück. Ausserdem sind einige sehr gute Restaurants vorhanden. Die Preise hier sind unschlagbar günstig und alles ist zu Fuß schnell erreicht. Die nahe gelegenen Städte wie Lucca und Pisa können sehr gut mit dem Bus erreicht werden. Das Auto kann stehen bleiben. Ein perfekter Ausgangsort für die Erkundung der nördlichen Toskana.

• Geena (10/5): Charming authentic Italian villa property with beautiful grounds to enjoy near Lucca/Pisa - Hospitality was superb and kind. The grounds were beautiful and impeccable. Room was clean and spacious with high ceilings. We had a studio and liked the size. We felt very safe in an authentic Italian environment. Property was in a little village area with tiny streets and a great cafe walking distance, Ambrosia Pasticceria (great coffee and pastries). The drive to Lucca was longer than I thought...maybe 20 minutes. We figured out how to park rental car outside the walled city of Lucca and pay a small fee in blue lined parking slots until 8pm (then it was free). Lucca is wonderful. Rent bikes that go along the top of the walled area that circles the town. The villa had free parking in a small attached area. Pool was open and lovely. No breakfast, which was our preference for this part of the trip. Recommend this clean and charming villa property with an authentic Italian host. nothing

Consigliatissimo!!! Se posso dare un piccolo suggerimento, fornirei la struttura di cuscini più comodi.

De eigenaren zijn aardige correcte mensen die de kamers geweldig hebben ingericht en fantastisch onderhouden. Er valt niets tegen, waarbij ik een ontbijt wel vind passen bij een dergelijk concept. Voor de rest alleen maar alle lof.

Exista un supermarket mic pt cumparaturi de baza si o patiserie(Ambrozia) pt micul dejun la circa 5 min pe jos. Cam departe de Pisa si Lucca. Taxi destul de scump. Nu are mic dejun. Nu are restaurante bune in apropiere.

• Bridget (9/5): Tuscan short break - This accommodation was like staying in a movie . Beautiful grounds with pool and the room was lovingly decorated with antique style furnishings. I had the best sleep ever. Nescafé coffee machine in the room and small fridge which was useful There wasn’t anything I didn’t like. We didn’t realise how far away from Luca we were. It’s about a 20 min drive. Taxi costs about 40 euro one way. However there is a bus stop just outside the property which we used a few times to and from Lucca. The owners were so helpful with this.

• Katarzyna (9/5): Short Stay, Lasting Impression - We only spent one day at the property, but we immediately felt very comfortable. Daniela was extremely kind and gave us a warm welcome. The place is well-kept, cozy, and full of charm. It’s peaceful and perfect for relaxation, with beautiful surroundings. The pool was also very enjoyable – overall, our stay was short but truly delightful.
• Iris (8/5): Heerlijk! - Een prachtige locatie! De eigenaren zijn hard werkende mensen die oog voor detail hebben. De ligbedden aan het zwembad. Als deze van gaasstof zijn liggen ze veel fijner en hoef je niet met kussens in de weer.
• Sophia-Marie (9/5): - Tolle Lage zwischen Lucca und Pisa, wunderschön angelegter Garten mit schönen Sitzmöglichkeiten, ruhige Lage. In der Küchenzeile war alles Wichtige vorhanden. Sehr nette Besitzerin! Die Dusche ist etwas eng (auch für schlanke Menschen ;)). Man musste die Küche selbst putzen vor Abreise, sonst wird die Reinigung in Rechnung gestellt mit 50€. Unser Apartment war leider nicht zum Garten gelegen.
• miggie (8/5): This is a lovely spot and convenient for Lucca but bear in mind if you don't book an apartment you are just renting - It's in lovely grounds and the proprietor was extremely friendly and helpful. The bus to Lucca was very reliable and useful as parking there isn't all that easy and can be expensive. (However the last bus back is before 9pm which makes it too early for dinner). The village itself has a range of small shops, a bar and post office with ATM if you want cash. There is an interesting historic church with a remarkable tower, unfortunately you have to make an appointment to see the interior unless there is a service and we found out too late. We had better luck with another church in a hamlet about ten minutes' walk away across the main Lucca road. The site of the former Santa Maria del Giudice marble quarry is also nearby. We drove to the La Cecca restaurant in nearby Capannori one night, the food was exceptional, an authentic family-run restaurant in a rural location. The menu was full of local specialities including fresh porcini picked locally that day. It was full of local Italian families when we were there It was our own fault as we knew there was no breakfast provided but we only had a bedroom with no cooking facilities so had to go to the local pasticceria which is very good but inconvenient in wet weather as it's a 5 minute walk. In retrospect we should have booked an apartment as spending a lot of time in bad weather in just one bedroom is pretty claustrophobic!

• DB_92 (9/5): Magnifiquement situé entre Lucca et Pise - Magnifiquement situé entre Lucca et Pise dans un petit bourg Toscan, la Villa Del Papa est une superbe étape pour un séjour italien. La piscine est excrément égréable et la chambre très agréable. L'accueil est très chaleureux Ne pas avoir de petit déjeuner est un point négatif, d'autant plus que l'offre n'est pas excellente dans le village

• Annika (5/5): Zu teuer, für zu wenig Service! Zimmer einfach altbacken. Garten und Pool sehr schön! - Der Garten und der Pool reißen es raus! Wirklich sehr schön und gepflegt! Die Zimmer sind altmodisch und die Umgebung lädt nicht ein. Es gibt zwar 2 Trattoria in der Nähe, aber mit toskanischem Flair haben die eher weniger zu tun. Man muss also immer fahren. Absolut unschön war, dass man eigentlich nur von verbotsschildern umgeben war. Nach 19:30 Uhr durfte man nicht mehr in den Pool, nasse Badesachen durfte man nicht draußen trocknen…, gleichzeitig gab es im Zimmer auch keine Möglichkeit um sie aufzuhängen und der Wäscheständer im Garten war nicht zu finden..?!?! Handtuchwechsel im Badezimmer gab es bei 3 Nächten Aufenthalt auch nicht. Das alles hat nichts mit Orientierung am Gast zu tun. Das entspricht einfach nicht dem aufgerufenen Preis!

• Kristy (9/5): A lovely break in a small town - perfect. - Lovely pool; location was beautiful, and the quiet was just what we were in need of after a hectic schedule. Daniela a very helpful and hospitable host; easy bus ride to Lucca Probably easier if you have a car but didn't stop us for 2 nights. The bus was perfectly fine.
• Knut (9/5): High quality property in quiet surroundings near Lucca and Pisa! - High standard apartment, spacious living room and kitchen, quality bathroom! The whole property was very well maintained, with a wonderful large, quiet garden with nice pool area. A couple of small restaurants and a bar, as well as a super pasticceria within easy walking distance from the property. Very friendly and helpful owners of the property ! Bed mattresses were a bit hard for our liking.
• Lisa (5/5): Good, clean accommodation with few frills but very expensive - Well maintained. Coffee machine in room was good and there was a good little fridge. Also the room was spotlessly cleaned Couldn’t access WiFi in my room. Too far from the router - outside was fine. No breakfast or bar, although local facilities were very close. BBQ available but no coals or firelighters or matches - you need to bring everything!! It was VERY expensive but it was July in Tuscany. If I had paid half it would have been great value for money but for what we paid I could have stayed in Monaco for 4 nights!!!

• Anna (10/5): A slice of paradise in Tuscany. - Beautiful and well maintained. Clearly a lot of pride put into property. So clean-impeccably spotless. And decorated with warm touches but not cluttered. Our apartment (Coppaia-2 bedroom; one bathroom with living space and kitchen) was perfect for our family (2 adults and 2 children aged 5 and 7) and had air conditioning which was welcome in the heat. The property had an amazing pool that was well maintained with umbrellas abs towels. And lovely surroundings with plants and flowers including a grassy area for the kids to play football (soccer). There is also free parking on site which is great. Property close to everything (12 mins to Lucca; 10 mins to Pisa; 1 hour to train to Cinque Terre; 1.25 hours to Florence ) but at the same time provide a wonderful respite from touristy locations. Lovely small town. The owners, Daniela and Giovanni, were very kind and responsive and very helpful with guidance and advice. Nothing but positive things to say about this property. Everything was perfect.
• Vernon (9/5): Excellent property, great hosts, classic Tuscany with an authentic local small town atmosphere. - Beautifully kept grounds, classic views to the nearby ancient church tower and hills, excellent pool facilities, modern accommodation within classic buildings, several good walks starting at the property, good local restaurants within easy walking distance of the property. Daniella and her husband were both delightful and always helpful when asked. Good location for visiting Pisa and the wonderful Lucca. The local store has a good range of fresh food and other necessities to start you off before a larger shop. At the weekends there is a nearby bar that has evening karaoke sessions in the open air, the noise can be intrusive, particularly if the participants can’t sing in tune, which was most of the time!

Love the ringing of bell from nearby belltower. Also walking distance to store, pizzeria, coffee shop, and restaurant. Most of all, we were happily welcomed by owner, Daniela and her husband. That we only stayed 2 nights.

We stayed an extra day as it was so peaceful. We had time to enjoy the pool, had breakfast on the lawn just outside the room. Our hosts were lovely people and very helpful.
