• Allyson (4/5): Awful - the view from the room we had was really nice. We have stayed now a few times and this was the worst stay we had. Very noisy stayed for two nights the room had an adjoining room had a wardrobe stuck in front of it the room nx door the noise was awful slamming constantly could hear every word they were saying, Not happy
• Catherine (7/5): Ideal location, basic but good staff - Great location for Barry Island 10km. Great receptionist, very helpful. Facilities in room a bit tight, not many pillows or towels and had to ask for the hairdryer that is said to be provided in rooms.

Requested rooms together & they were which was brilliant. Thank you mount rooms. Only negative, rooms were a bit on the cool side & no way of us warming them up.

• David (7/5): A lovely place to stay for a nice brisk 10 minute walk to Parkrun - The room was a lovely size and the bed was comfortable The noise from people walking by late into the night. The room was facing the road and there can be a bit of noise from people passing by

Not to far from Airport ( couple of miles ) also Barry Island 15 minute walk away. Great value. Hill a little steep will get you out of puff . Small car park busy due to gym. Minor niggles.

• Claire (7/5): Basic but value for money - Location was excellent Bed was not very comfortable and the rooms are not sound proofed at all heard people coming and going at all hours not good when you booked to get some rest before an early flight
• Luke (7/5): Very solid, no frills, budget hotel - The staff were pleasant, the room was large, and the hotel was in an excellent location. The hotel is very basic in the facilities it offers, and the parking lot is not for the faint of hearted.
• Neil (4/5): Booked as a weekend away but would not book again - The staff were very friendly and helpful and the location for what we wanted to do was great When booking, the information on the hotel said that all room had been recently renovated, our room must have been one that they missed then because it was terrible, broken window, damp on walls, not what we were expecting at all. Once checking in, we were also told that the hotel was no longer doing any food at all. Decided to go for a drink in the bar, only 2 drinks on the draught working, really not impressed at all in general.

• anonymous (4/5): - Close to the station Room 15 bed was extremely uncomfortable, hard and lumpy. When we asked for another duvet to put on the mattress we were told none was available. We had hardly any sleep. The buffet/bar was supposed to be open until 1 am but there was no sign of any staff at any time. The decor was "tired" and old fashioned.
• Dominic (3/5): - Location I am emailing to provide feedback and to complain about the room and facilities at The Mount hotel. We booked a room and stayed at the hotel on Friday and Saturday nights 17th and 18th April. We were allocated room 48. Whilst the room was clean, there were zero facilities. There was a hair dryer holder but no hairdryer. There were 2 mugs with sachets of coffee and sugar, but no kettle. There was a soap dispenser with only an inch of hand wash in it, there wasn’t any shower gel or shampoo. The windows wouldn’t shut properly which was a worry from a security perspective and parking was extremely limited. In the middle of the night on both nights there was loud banging from pipe work and plumbing which woke us up and kept us awake with its constant loud volume and unpredictable timing. I would like to request a full refund. We chose the hotel due to its proximity to family and to support small business. The price was on a par with the travel lodge where we would have received better amenities. Please contact me to arrange a full refund as soon as possible. Regards Dominic Headford

• Kathryn (10/5): Stayed recently as we hosted a function there. The service was A1 throughout. Some of the rooms are a little bit tired b - Warm,,welcoming and the staff were amazing throughout our stay. Great value for money. Pity there isn’t a adequate car park.

• dawn (5/5): We paid cheap and now we understand why. - The bar was the best part of our stay. It was open til 1am and good prices, although not much choice on beers or wine. There is no longer the option to use the Bistro or the Gym as advertised when booking. Luckily, we had eaten in Barry Island beforehand. We had a twin room where the beds and pillows were bumpy. The shower had seen better days and the decor throughout the hotel needed updating or cleaning / painting. There was no inner door lock and only the option of trusting anyone who had access to a copy of the fob not to enter the room. Made us feel quite unsafe.

• Lucia (7/5): - Amazing sea view from the window. Great pub lounge to meet with friends. Good size room. Perfect position for the train station and the city centre . No soap, not enough towels, not enough toilet paper for two days. I asked the receptionist and I had them all immediately though. Drunk and noisy people at midnight in the nearby room. No extra pillows or blankets.

• Nicholas (8/5): Great stay, great location - recommended - Local property with good location and comfortable rooms, and worth the cost of staying. Staff were friendly and helpful and dealt with another rowdy guest quickly making it a pleasant experience staying. Only thing was that the bed was a small double which is difficult if you are any nigger than very small
