• Isabelle (10/5): Beautiful and wonderful place to stay - We booked the deluxe bedroom with kitchen for one night. Our stay was wonderful. The bedroom is very spacious, the bed is comfortable and the details in the room are great. Florian and Claire (the owners) have definitely given attention to details. The breakfast was very nice. We had bread, croissants, homemade jam, homemade yogurts, etc. The property is wonderful. There is a small lake and many animals such as goats, pigs, chickens, etc. This place is absolutely wonderful. We wish we had booked for more than one night. We recommend this amazing place.

• Thomas (10/5): Beautiful Stay - Our stay at the Jolysable was absolutely fantastic. The accomodation itself was beautiful and well kept. We were given a downstairs room which was very quiet, rooms all have air conditioning in them. The grounds of the accommodation are just as serene, and populated with an array of animals which our little boy loved! Each morning we were greeted with fresh filtered coffee and a selection of breakfast breads. The hosts also make fresh fruit jams (Kiwi, Mandarin, Strawberry and more) as well as homemade yoghurt. A big thank you to the Jolysable for wonderful trip.

Le petit dejeuner est de qualité et servi en salle, et pour les repas soit sur commande ou dans les commerces situés face au donjon.

Hôte un petit peu stressé lors de notre départ et pressé c'est un peu dommage de ne pas avoir pris un peu plus de temps avec nous !

Room was spacious and well deCurated and had small kitchenette, which would be great if staying more than a night. A very warm & friendly welcome. Continental Breakfast very good including homemade yoghurt. About a 15min walk to get to restaurants and take a torch if going in the evening.

It's possible that I overlooked this detail when I booked, but I'm sure I was led to believe the rooms were en suite - Who wants to step into a wet shower that's just been used by a stranger? Athlete's foot? And having to get dressed to venture into a communal area to visit the toilet?

Owner extremely helpful and obviously takes great care and attention with everything he does. La chambre était coquette, le lit confortable, l'accueil formidable. Jolysable est sans conteste un endroit de charme que je recommande chaleureusement. De plus, bien qu'en pleine nature et au calme absolu, il est très accessible de l'autoroute et à deux pas du centre-ville. Le petit déjeuner est traditionnel à la française mais nos hôtes ont la gentillesse de proposer un plateau de fromages pour les becs salés dont nous faisons partie, nous avons apprécié..

• Brian (8/5): Fun at the country millhouse - This old mill and country manor has been rejuvenated with a great sense of humor … a laugh in every corner with items from yard sales. The shady yard with stream was beautiful. We conversed with adjacent chickens, ducks and sheep who understood both French and English. Good breakfast. For dinner, a modern restaurant is conveniently located just around the corner. Have fun!

Outside you have huge garden with lambs, chicken and two dogs. Breakfast is great! Best to have a car, but honestly it is not even too far to walk to Cognac!

Vert quiet and out of the way, but very easy to find (even in pouring rain in the dark), and not far from the motorway. 5 minute drive into town to a friendly bar/restaurant. Would be perfect for a warm summers evening when a 20 minute walk after a long drive would be ideal. Saw it in daylight in the morning and very pretty

Greeted by a lovely friendly cat and the proprietor in the dark. Room I can only describe as superb, absolutely loved it. Shower room was big, very modern. Breakfast was lovely served by the very pleasant host. Will certainly go there again.
