Was a great stay and really enjoyed meeting the other guests around the breakfast table in the morning. The hallway can be quite noisy as there are no soft furnishings/carpeting to absorb some of the noise, so it would be advisable to BYO ear plugs, however if you forget them there are ear plugs provided in the room (which is a nice touch!).
• liagags (10/5): Charming Inn close to everything you need - We had a great stay here in the Tolu room. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful with everything we needed. They served wonderful breakfast each day with fresh fruit and coffee/tea/juice. It is in a great location as well. Close to many shops and restaurants. The street it is on is also quiet. If I were to ever come back to CDMX, I would book here again in a heartbeat.

Die größere Zimmer Variante war ausreichend geräumig, selbst mit Gepäck. Zimmer und Bad sehr sauber, täglicher Zimmerservice möglich. Schöne kleine Dachterrasse. Night Host und Housekeeping sehr freundlich!
• Divya (10/5): La Palmilla was charming with a wonderful staff, and in the perfect location. - Our master suite was charming and comfy, with a good-sized bathroom. The staff was wonderful, with special shout-outs to Elvia who made us feel at home right away, Aida who gave us breakfast, and Gerardo who helped with luggage and put together bags of takeaway snacks for us when we had to leave for the airport too early for the hotel's breakfast. All were so kind. The location was perfect--walking distance from Bosque de Chapultepec and its museums and zoo, so many good restaurants (with vegetarian options too), and Parque Espana and Parque Mexico and the surrounding neighborhoods, beautiful and with lush plants and trees. My daughter and I slept well after full days of exploring. I'm so glad I chose Palomilla!

Badkamertje zeer klein, maar modern en perfect in orde. Aangename zeep ter beschikking. Keukenpersoneel was supervriendelijk. Kamer is heel klein en geen airco. Als je frisse lucht wil,moet je het raam openen maar dan heb je straatlawaai. Er stond bij de beschrijving "luchthavenshuttle mits toeslag" maar uiteindelijk moet je gewoon zelf een taxi regelen. Kostte gemiddeld 23,5 eur per rit.

• teibojanet (10/5): Lovely boutique hotel in Roma Norte with great staff, and fair prices. Highly recommended. - We stayed one night at La Palomilla, and the staff were so kind to us! Check-in is friendly and easy. You are given a fob for the front door and a key to your room. There is a small reception desk and a long dining table where guests can eat a communal breakfast and chat with each other - swapping tips on where to visit. There are also two individual tables to eat at if you are not chatty in the morning. I have friends who would really need this! And there is a sofa area where you can sit and hang out too. You can access the kitchen where breakfast is prepared and put your drinks or food in the fridge, which is a nice touch. There is also a fabulous roof terrace where you can have your morning coffee, or bring take-out for lunch or dinner and eat al fresco. The decor throughout is charming, modern Mexican. Really tasteful, cute and perfect for photos. It's selfie Insta heaven. Our room was well-equipped and clean, with a lovely welcome note from the staff. We had a double bed, complimentary robes, a safe, a desk, and a heater, although we didn't need it. The mattress was comfortable, and our bathroom was modern and clean. All of this is great, but staff are the people who make or break a hotel, and the staff at La Palomilla are lovely. Helpful, kind, not intrusive, but always willing to help. They let us leave our luggage on site before check -in and after check-out, which we really appreciated because nobody wants to lug suitcases around Mexico City when they are on a layover. We are super happy we stayed here, the price was fair, and we would recommend it to friends.

Room and common areas were spotless and the bed was very comfortable. I will definitely stay there again when visiting Mexico City. The room was a bit on the small side. I will see if there’s a bigger room available when I return on a visit.

Finding accommodation options in the area is quite easy, what is not so easy is finding accommodation alternatives that are owned by locals, that have good practices, and that truly make an effort to provide a great service and unique experience! I visit CDMX very often and now I know where I will stay.

• Stefan (10/5): Wonderful bed and breakfast in a beautiful neighborhood - My stay (3 nights) at La Palomilla was wonderful. From my welcome to the breakfast to my room, everything was excellent. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and the rooftop terrace is a great place in which to relax. The location is on a quiet street in the residential Condesa neighborhood; several nice coffee shops and restaurants are within a few blocks. Chapultepec Park, which has several museums and the zoo, is a 10-minute walk. Note: If you are looking for a late-night, partying neighborhood with clubs and bars, this is not the place for you!

• travelingrosie10 (8/5): Lovely, stylish hotel in great neighborhood - Really lovely place. Fantastic location, right off a main street in the Condesa/Roma area, but down an alley so relatively quiet and very discreet entrance. I felt very safe, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfasts were incredible. My only issue was noise within the building. It carried up from the kitchen and breakfast room loudly (conversations could be heard clearly one floor up), and the doors opening and closing from rooms on the same floor were so incredibly loud it was hard to sleep (including what seemed like a separate bathroom that maybe my neighbors had to go into that was closer to my room? I loudly heard some retching one night) . Otherwise, this is a great little home away from home in CDMX.

• Guest (9/5): Great location an food, smallish rooms but you'll be out sightseeing so it's great value. - The location was great. The breakfasts and mid-day juice and cookies were fantastic. The women who worked the kitchen and the night staff were wonderful. They maintained the rooms great during our stay. The decor was really nice. They promote tours that are way more expensive then the ones I found and suggest you take a specific car service from the airport-- it turns out to be much more expensive than Uber. Makes you wonder if they're making money off this. Also, the management was not responsive when I had questions during my stay (the onsite staff tried to help but the language barrier was tricky.) The rooms are a bit small
• Vladislav (9/5): - The place is exactly next to park "España" with lots of dogwalkers.The place is famous for its Mexican and European cuisine where cafes and restaurants are full of foreigners at night. By the way, its in walking distance from the castle of chapultepec! However, going back to art deco Mexican style La Palomilla where i stayed and had comfortable time, I'd say lots of positive things to this very local, nice, and friendly place with a good kitchen, cosy beds, a great shower with lavanda scence toiletries, and a great breakfast. Constantly replace batteries in remotes, please. And a TV could be bigger for some boarders.

I am particularly impressed by the hospitality of the front desk. Pro tip- when booking an Uber walk to the corner because for some reason they don't recognize the hotel's address. Nothing- all good.

We were there for 7 days and Elvia, Eduardo, Gaby, Gerardo and Roberto were all incredibly helpful and took great care of us. The rooms are small and cozy with details everywhere you look. Gaby makes the best Mexican breakfasts, always served with fresh fruit, juice and coffee. They are located in a walkable area with many good restaurants and coffee shops around it. Would definitely recommend staying here!

• Jessica (9/5): Charming, friendly, and comfortable local B&B - The whole staff team was really lovely and super helpful. This is a beautiful, charming B&B with delicious breakfasts and an emphasis on highlighting local art and artisans, so if you’re looking for somewhere to stay that isn’t just a generic stopover, this is a great choice! The other guests we met were great as well! It’s also in a great location, quiet and close to Condesa. Oh, and a nice hot shower! Just be prepared for rooms that are a little cramped (but still comfortable and clean!) and sound carries throughout the hallway/stairs, so if you’re a light sleeper bring earplugs. These are small things in my opinion and would not stop me from staying here again.
• Allison (10/5): - This was such a great place to stay during our visit I couldn’t recommend it enough! Initially I booked this hotel after seeing the breakfasts that were included and they did not disappoint. Fresh juice, fresh fruit spreads and daily changing breakfasts were all great. The staff were all very nice and always checking in if we’d need our room cleaned. The room would feel so fresh and clean when we’d come back from a long day walking in the city. The location was great, whether you plan to walk/bike everywhere or Uber all the time.

Great convenient neighbourhood…incredibly clean and cute rooms! The breakfast is unlike any I’ve experienced before…it felt like family sitting down to eat traditional Mexican breakfast dishes served by the nicest two ladies! Also, I loved the terrace which is the perfect place to unwind after a day exploring a wonderful city!
• juliasD7933DO (10/5): A beautiful place in the best neighbourhood - Amazing place with lots of style, soul and care for its visitors. Situated in the best neighbourhood, close to many great restaurants, shops and bars and green parks, this is the place to stay if you don’t want another anonymous 5 star hotel. The rolls are super tidy and beautifully decorated and offer all you need with a sustainable twist. Breakfast is served at a long table, welcoming single travelers as well as couples. You can easily reach all tourist attractions by foot or uber and we felt save walking at night home. A nice hair salon / nail spa is just on the other side of the hotel, so for very little money (vs Europe) you can add beauty to your list. The stiff will also be very helpful with tour organising and sharing their favourite places. I’ll definitely be back!

• janesV956ZE (10/5): Friendly Stay in CDMX - I really loved my stay at La Palomilla! The staff were friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was a really nice experience and I really liked the coffee. As a smaller operation, it was nice to see the same small group of guests every morning too. This made my vacation as a solo traveler a little bit more social, and gave opportunities to discuss fun things to do in Mexico City. The B&B is in a very nice part of town. It is only a few blocks away from Chapultapec park so there are great options for runners! There are a few parks and greenways in the area, which were well-lit and safe at night. I also appreciated the rooftop balcony, which was a pleasant area to hang out even in November. My room was very comfortable, and the cleaning was well done. I slept better at La Palomilla than I usually do when away from home. The B&B is off on a side street so it is in a very quiet area, and la Palomilla has established quiet hours for the building, too.

The room was really welcoming as I appreciated the local candy and fresh water that was ready when I arrived. They also provided some yummy home-made cookies. I was able to walk to a wonderful restaurant as the location is perfect. I love the breakfast in the morning and the staff was so friendly and welcoming. I'll stay here again next time I'm in Mexico City.

Everything from our breakfasts to the staff were wonderful - The location was great, all of the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome, comfortable and organized for our Mexico City adventure. The breakfasts were delicious Mexican style breakfasts. It could be a bit noisy at night.

The location works well as you can easily walk to Roma and Condesa, both quiet and attractive neighbourhoods with a lot of cafes and restaurants. The rooms have real personality and the beds were so comfortable! Would highly recommend for anyone who wants a more personal and characterful experience of Mexico City -

The hospitality here is truly impeccable—every detail is taken care of, making you feel instantly welcomed. Seriously, I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. And the breakfasts were absolutely delicious! A perfect start to every day of exploring. The location is a perfect base for walking to so many great restaurants, museums and cool parks. It’s also an easy pick up for Uber trips to neighbourhoods and activities a littler further away. If you're planning a trip to Mexico City, you have to check our La Palomilla! Highly recommend! 💖

The entire staff were so friendly and helpful and the gourmet breakfasts were amazing. We especially enjoyed the fresh fruit daily and the chilaquiles were a real highlight! The staff even surprised us when we came down to breakfast for my mom's birthday and the dining room was all decorated and they had a beautiful birthday cake for her!! Truly above and beyond our expectations. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable with every modern amenity you could want and each room had different wonderful artwork. I can't rave about La Palomilla enough!

On our second visit, we stayed an extra night to enjoy their hospitality. This will always be our stopover when we visit family. All the staff are friendly and welcoming. The breakfast is exceptional, like we would come to if it were just a restaurant. The neighborhood is wonderfully located. I so appreciate that we can leave our bags on the last day and adventure, knowing we have a base to stop over at before we head to the airport. After returning home, our 3-year-old said they want to live in the hotel in Mexico City. We're all looking forward to staying again.

I would highly recommend staying at this property for your visit to Mexico City. It's in a quiet and safe neighborhood that is also extremely walkable. There are great restaurants, bars, and cafes nearby, such a great location. To top it all off it is a meaningful property supporting locals and is also woman and locally owned.

• amcosio (8/5): Taco Tour 2025 - I went to Mexico City to participate in a Taco tour experience at Aura (a friend of mine owns the business) and she recommended to stay at La palomilla. At first, arriving at LA Palomilla seems like arriving into your grandparents home, in a very old neighborhood, unpretentious. But then the staff and the place starts to grow on you; the simpleness of the property, the friendliness of the kitchen staff, the cleanliness of the room and common areas makes it a very pleasant place to stay. Location is superb, walking distance from parks and restaurants is ideal to take a walk in the morning. I loved this place. My only feedback would be: work on reducing some of the noises.

Great Location within the heart of Condesa - easy stroll to the parks and casual through strolls through neighborhood taco bars, shopping etc; quaint rooms with a variety of flare in each room! Nice little welcoming touches we well, roof top was great to hang out as well. Lastly, Edwardo at the front desk, was great in explaining the dishes to us, sights and recommendations to see and do - he was out main "go to" person! We learned so much from him.... Mandating the nite desk was Roberto and Gerardo who greeted us when we came in at nite. Big thank you to all of the La Palomilla Bed & Breakfast Staff members!!! You made out stay memorable!!

• FellowTraveler376116 (10/5): Home away from home - I stayed in a Junior Suite for one week. I loved the warm reception and the delicious Mexican breakfasts which were different every day. Guests eat breakfast together at one large table - this turned out to be very pleasant and useful as people were very friendly and shared information about their experiences. I also enjoyed the terrace on the top floor. It is important to highlight the helpfulness of Eduardo - he provided valuable suggestions before and during my stay on things ranging from jazz clubs to restaurants and tours. My only negative comment relates to the size of the room in the Junior Suite - it is rather small. Due to that, for a truly wonderful experience, I would recommend staying in a Master Suite. That is what I plan to do in the future when I am able to return.

• gregandcat (10/5): A warm welcome in a fantastic location - La Palomilla is an attractive bed and breakfast with wonderful staff that treat you like family. The rooms and bathrooms are very tiny (but who’s staying in their room in Mexico City?!), but the location is great, with a few minutes’ walk to fantastic restaurants. Each room is decorated according to a different cultural theme. Note that there is no elevator but there is a large basket that can be operated between floors to move luggage up and down. In keeping with the convivial ethos of this B&B, breakfast is served at a communal table in a lovely dining room. It was consistently fabulous, offering fresh-squeezed juice (different every day), coffee, fresh fruit and a cooked breakfast that could be chilaquiles, omelet, or huevos divorciados. Everything is freshly made and presented with a huge smile. Communication with the hotel was super efficient and Lalo, who speaks great English, was most helpful with bus information. We had a wonderful stay and would be thrilled to go back.

We have never stayed in a room with better housekeeping staff. The attention to detail in cleaning and organizing the room was incredible. The only issue with this hotel is it is a bit expensive for the size of the space. Our room was very tight, hardly enough space for our bags. Which is totally understandable give the history of the building. However, the price was pretty high given the room size. Shoutout to the entire team. They were the best of the best!

My husband was suffering from altitude sickness one night and Roberto the night host brought warm tea to our room without us asking. We loved the top floor but the down side was walking up several flights of stairs. We felt safe and loved the location that was walkable to Condesa and Roma Norte.
• BjarniHalldorsson (4/5): A Disappointing Stay at La Palomilla: Misleading Photos, Poor Service, and Unmet Expectations - Our stay at La Palomilla Hotel in Mexico City was, regrettably, a disappointing experience. The reality of this boutique hotel fell far short of the impression given online, and I would caution prospective guests to manage their expectations accordingly. First and foremost, the rooms are extraordinarily small—far smaller than the misleading, stretched-out images suggest. If you are travelling as a couple or have more than just a carry-on bag, you will struggle for space. The bathroom is equally cramped, making even basic comfort a challenge. To make matters worse, upon taking our first shower, we discovered that the drain was completely blocked with an alarming amount of hair, making it impossible for the water to drain properly. One was left standing in one's own filth! Breakfast was, to put it mildly, uninspiring and basic. The selection was extremely limited—you are simply ate what was served; there was no choice, which consisted of 2 slices of low-quality toast with butter and jam (which was mouldy), about 1 tablespoon of yogurt and granola, a plate of 1 to 2 types of fruit and a Mexican dish, coffee or tea. While the breakfast is on the healthier side, the lack of variety and poor-quality bread make it an underwhelming start to the day. If one is not accustomed to eating Mexican food for breakfast, you're out of luck for an alternative. On the second day my wife consumed a glass of the complementary watermelon juice provided by the hotel and as a result she got food poisoning. One of the most frustrating moments came when my unwell wife requested some yogurt—only to be flatly refused, even though yogurt was served at breakfast. A small act of kindness would have gone a long way, yet instead, we were met with an unnecessary lack of hospitality. Service at the hotel was underwhelming. One particular staff member/ day receptionist—whose name we do not know - was distinctly unpleasant and unhelpful. When we informed him of the clogged shower drain, we were met with a blazè expression. The final straw was when we requested a late departure as my wife was unwell. Despite the fact that no new guests were due to arrive until several days after our departure we were made to feel like an inconvenience rather than valued guests. The schedule of guest arrivals and departures was posted in the kitchen. Another major drawback was the lack of proper sound insulation. Throughout our stay, we were the only guests in the hotel, yet it was still difficult to get an early night's rest due to the poor room insulation. I can only imagine how disruptive it would be with a full house. That said, the cookies they provide as snacks were actually quite enjoyable, and the toiletries were a small redeeming feature. Overall, La Palomilla failed to meet even the most basic expectations of comfort, service, and quality. There are far better options in Mexico City, and I would strongly advise looking elsewhere.

• Escape38433908031 (2/5): This is not it. - This review is NOT about the amazing staff and workers at the BnB, it is about the stay and the space. First, DO NOT book a Junior Suite because you will not have a bathroom in the actual hotel room. It is an absolute inconvenience to walk through a hallway, past someone elses hotel room door to use a bathroom in the middle of the night. There is one robe provided and NO slippers to walk to the bathroom, so we had to put on our shoes and socks everytime. The staff was gracious enough to send out for slippers, so we could be comfortable. Second, the walls are paper thin. Our neighbors decided to pack at 4am and we could not sleep. Third, (and probably not final but thats all i can think of at the moment) there is NO AC/Heat. The AC was not an issue because thankfully we did not stay in the summer. However, it was in the 40s at night in the winter and we felt it. It was freezing cold most of the nights. If you love to live in a hostel/dorm and pay hotel fees, this is your spot. otherwise, avoid it.

Eduardo and his team are the most gracious hosts. Their service is top notch and the rooms are very clean & comfy and decorated to perfection. The breakfast was so incredible. The location is so great (but still peaceful and quiet) and everything you may need is walking distance away. We would definitely stay here again for our next trip.
