- William (8/5): Comfortable B&B with friendly staff and close to the supermarket and 1.2 km from town - The room was very conforatble, as was the bed. The kitchen had all the utensils and crockery, water kettle, microwave, fridge, etc you would expect. The bathroom was fine, the shower good. As there are 5 double.rooms and the main house, plenty of hot water. Wi-fi was fast and reliable. TV was basic...just a handful of free-to-air channels, but you are not in LR for TV shows.... The address was a hundred yards off of the main road (Opal Street) and a 10 minute walk (2 min. by car) of the only supermarket in LR, an IGA, open 8am to 7pm daily. It has a bottle shop attached. No breakfast was provided (this was made known at booking.) So no second "B" in the B&B.... Not a complaint but an observation: Location was about 1.2 kilometers from the Main Street of the town. A car is essential in that weather. There are no taxis and no public transport in Lightning Ridge, as you would have guessed.

- Maxim Ivan (1/5): This place is not at all recommended, too stuffy and air conditioner is only in one room. - The place is so small and conjested. The worst thing in this room is there is no wash sink in the bathroom. However it’s located near the bed and barely any space to open the door. The toilet and bathroom combined space is as big as airplane toilet where there is hardly any room to stand. In conclusion this place is a worst place and not recommended for families.

The only issue we had was that there was a bit of a lack of lighting. It wasn't a huge deal, but it was a bit dark in the evening.

- SHUZHEN (1/5): - I booked it a couple of days in advance. It charged me the full price including breakfast. There is actually a price for 'no breakfast' option, which is 40AUD lower. On the day I arrived, I was told by a msg that there will be no breakfast. Ok. That's fine. But the bizarre thing is there is no refund arranged and no communication from the host on this matter. I sent a couple of msg, but sadly they are delivered and ignored. For me, it's not the right to treat your customers. And It's illegal.

The shower was small and floor very slippery which was difficult and shower head way to close to wall which was a shame. The toilet bowl was not fixed to the floor which gave us a fright when reaching for the toilet paper.

- Roger (2/5): A horrible place to stay - The place was poorly presented, the common area was locked up, it had no door between the bedrooms, no extractor fan in the internal bathroom, no safety devices such as smoke detector. I don't think it would pass an inspection. One sink served as hand washing from the toilet and washing dishes, and the water was lukewarm. There was nowhere to sit, the bedrooms were too small. Unable to close one of the blinds. In all, it was rubbish. We had booked two nights but found somewhere else to stay for the second night. The photos online were not deceptive of the actual accommodation. It is well known around Lightning Ridge for its poor presentation.

Decor was bright and cheerful, bed was comfy and there was a washing machine and dryer which was great after a week on the road. The reverse cycle heating wasn’t working very well so we cleaned the filters and it then worked perfectly- they were completely blocked up. Small kitchen was sparsely equipped- it could do with a few more basic things like a chopping board and a microwave dish. Would definitely recommend the place though.

The bed was very comfortable, no cooking appliances apart from a microwave, kettle and toaster but there was a camp kitchen. The camp kitchen was extremely dirty and didn't end up cooking on any of the appliances the bbq was filth. Unfortunately the water pressure in the bathroom wasn't to good
