- Michael (4/5): This place has fallen on hard times - So obviously the hotel industry is hurt during the pandemic, but the description of this hotel is misleading. It promised bottled water and welcome drinks: neither were available as the hotel doesn’t have the money for it anymore. In the room I was in was an ant graveyard - countless dead ants over all surfaces (counter, toilet, shower, toilet paper, even some in the bed). I spent the first 30 minutes of my stay cleaning up the room with sanitary wipes. Grime, cobwebs, and dead ants covered wipe after wipe. No TVs in the hotel work on account of lack of money. All the lightbulbs in my room were missing due to lack of income. It’s clear this place has fallen on hard times but it’s a farce to still call it a 3.5 star hotel. The location, however, is perfect as you’re in a 16th century Portuguese fortress

- Rebecca (10/5): Wonderful cute riad! - Our first experience in a Moroccan riad could not have been better. It is exactly what we imagined - cosy, friendly, not touristy. Just lovely. Great location right inside the Portuguese City walls.

- Paul (8/5): Pleasant stay - We had a pleasant stay. Our room was nice and the people were friendly and helpful. Location was great and the front patio was pleasant for breakfast. The only problem was the hotel description in hotels.com was not up to date. For example, when we arrived we found out the restaurant, bar, and daily manager's reception were no longer available. Apparently they had an agreement with the hotel next door to share facilities but it was terminated. Even so, we would stay there again.

I like a hotter shower but it is liveable. Loved having breakfast on the patio. Easy walk to shopping, fishing, park and the beach
