• TaJa (10/5): Excellent Hotel if your looking for comfort peace & quiet. Breakfast was on point every morning too - The staff was and is amazing! They were so nice! Helpful & kind. No one carried a bad attitude or was in a bad mood. I felt so valued. There was nothing I didn't like. I love how the beds were comfy. I didn't wanna get out of it. The hotel was very clean as well. My fave❤️
• Mussuto (6/5): It was an okay place to stay to weather out the storm - The location was very close off the highway with an Allsup's to fill up with gas. There was an area for pets. The breakfast had many options. The room included a couch. The side door was missing the mechanism to use the card key for entry (not secure). I understand there was severe weather, but the front doors wouldn't open. I think they temporarily turned off the functionality due to wind (?). At 3am, the fire alarms went off and the night person didn't know how to turn them off. I asked if they had a guest W/D. I was told they were broken and were waiting for new ones. The hair dryer in my room was broken and the hot water wasn't working in the bathroom sink. The photos make this place look better than it really is. It has seen better days.

• A (8/5): We were there basically just to sleep. It was good for what we needed. - I didn't get up in time for the breakfast as I slept until 9:30 and breakfast was only from 6-9am. My son ate it and said it was ok. The room we had was right across from the elevator so that was convenient. The front desk worker was nowhere in sight when we went to check out and we had to wait for 10 minutes while the front desk was unattended. The ice machine was broken.

• Robin (5/5): I'm sure you can do better in Elk City - a place worth visiting - During my recent Route 66 tour I was generally very happy with the standard of US motels and this one was the first exception. The room smelt musty as I walked in. Needed some fresh air but also probably a good re-decorate. The wifi didn't work - most unusual. I have to say the receptionist made every effort to get me online using the admin wifi but I still needed to sit in the lobby to get it anything like working. Most motels were near perfectly good eateries for dinner that you could walk to rather than get back in the car. Not here. There was nothing. Zilch! A motel in the middle of nowhere. Elk City has an interesting museum (including Route 66 material) if you are into historic so a place worth stopping off in but just not at this motel! I've said it all.

• Susan (4/5): Property was old and tired, but a good location with a good staff. - This is a good location for our destinations out West. There are good dining options nearby and the area is nicely arranged for vehicle travel. This was our third time to visit this property. Going to have to rethink this choice based on this recent stay. The staff was very pleasant, attempting to assist us with an issue. The breakfast was acceptable, choices included hot and cold items that were fresh and maintained. This property has noticeably aged in the five years since our last visit. It looks tired and the public spaces weren't very clean. Bits of trash in hallways, marks on doorframes and walls. Our room was clean but smelled unwashed and over sprayed with a masking agent. We couldn't get our TV to come on, despite plugging it back in. The front desk clerk was able to restore the picture but the sound was stuck on LOW. That was frustrating but fortunately it was tuned to the channel playing a game we wanted to watch because we were unable to change to any other channel. We were told that maintenance was working to replace the older sets, and that guests plug in other devices that affect the older sets.

We were on first floor and noise above us was awful. 5am sounded like a herd of elephants. Breakfast was meh. Coffee was very weak and there was only one carafe at 7am which ran out quickly. Would not stay here again.

• William (8/5): - Stopped here for one night. Property can use some updating. Our room did not lock properly (too tired to complain so we made it work) and staff did not seem to care when brought to their attention while checking out. Mostly construction workers as patrons. Well lit property.

• Brenda (10/5): We had a comfortable stay and rested well before getting back on interstate to continue on to Colorado - Good location nice accommodations comfy bed even had electric stove utensils to eat/cook which we didn’t use had k cup pot microwave full size refrigerator all for 142 with tax/fees and yes there is plenty of parking not sure why it says no parking lol Very spacious room and good air conditioning it was 100 degrees yesterday when we checked in at 6 pm I do recommend this hotel and you won’t regret it Oh and a great breakfast with lots of hot or cold selections Nothing bad to say here

• Cosmo (2/5): - As soon as we entered the room, we notified the front desk about the issue with the TV. The staff at the front desk responded in a very nonchalant and passive-aggressive manner. The maintenance person said they would take a look at the TV, but they chose to do so at 12:30 in the morning, while my wife and I were trying to sleep. This raised significant safety concerns for us. When I reported this issue to the front desk, they didn’t seem to recognize the problem. As a result, I will never stay at another Best Western again.

• Amanda (4/5): - When I checked in I was given the key and room number so I went up to my room, much to my surprise when I unlocked the door and went into the room there was already someone in it!!! I was a single female entering a room that had a male staying in it already!! I ran for the elevator as he yelled “Who are you?? This is my room!!” I went to the front desk and told them what happened and they gave me another room but honestly I couldn’t sleep as I kept thinking if it happened to that guy it could happen to me and felt afraid someone was going to walk into my room. There was NO offer for a discount, free stay, NOTHING. Extremely scary and disappointing stay.

Our room was very clean, nice bathroom, great water pressure, good breakfast--the breakfast attendants made more food for us when a few things were gone, very grateful for that! • Mary (5/5): Passable - There was a nice shower. The beds were comfortable. We were given keys to a room that hadn't been cleaned. (It was after 3pm) We left for a few hours. When we came back, the room was ready. However, we did find a package of moldy rolls and 2 ramen noodle bowls in a draw. The other draw was missing a handle. The air conditioner was very loud, which didn't make for a great night sleep. In the morning, I realized that the coffee maker didn't work. The bathroom sink didn't have a top on the drain so I could see all the gross stuff an inch or so down the pipe. I went downstairs to get coffee from the lobby only to discover a bug in it when I was almost finished. The breakfast was mediocre compared to other hotel breakfasts we have had. The hash browns were cold, and the blueberries for the yoghurt were terrible. They certainly didn't taste like blueberries. We would never plan on coming back here or recommending it to anyone.

• Amanda (4/5): - Will never stay here again! We arrived at 12:30 am weary from traveling. The lady at the front desk was friendly and courteous. She gave us our keys and sent us to our room. The first room we were in the door lock didn’t work correctly and the bathroom was covered in blood. Drips of blood all over. We asked for a new room at the front desk and the staff was very happy to help and concerned about the condition of the first room. She upgraded us to a suite at no charge. We moved our bags to the second room and upon arriving at the room the door was open before we even entered. I checked the room (as we were women traveling alone) after coating the room we began to try to get settled only to find out the tv in the room had no remote and wasn’t in working condition. The furniture in the room was filthy. I’m not sure how they are rated so high in stats but this hotel hasn’t been upgraded in years! The cleanliness les left EVERYTHING to be desired. Very disappointed. Best western had never let us down before but this was an epic fail! Do not fall for the high reviews!! Pick somewhere else… anywhere else! Outside of the friendly staff there just isn’t anything good to say about this dirty, dated, dis repaired property.

Hot water dispenser to make hot tea was also out of order. Yogurt dispenser was empty. There were less than five customers in the breakfast area and yet no empoyees were addressing these issues. Lastly, the google map information is wrong. This is not a new problem.

• Verified traveler (6/5): - The room was a two bedroom suite which was a great option for our needs, the front room air conditioning was not working. It would not cool at all. It was a very warm weekend. I did tell the front desk and we were not offered any other accommodation. So I asked for a fan and dealt with it. The hotel was full. The refrigerator and freezer in the room had food in it from the last guest. The bathroom wall was dirty around the toilet. Beds were comfortable and clean.

She noticed that I had been standing up at the front waiting to check out for quite sometime though no one had came to my help me and she stopped what she was doing and attempted to help me, though she never figured out how to print me a receipt I didn't care the fact that she didn't hesitate to stop working in what I can only assume was her designated area and came to help me meant a lot to me. I wished I had got her name to give her the proper props!

• Sjdj (4/5): - The good part was the staff. They were helpful and pleasant. The bad: the pool was disgusting looking, moldy and water so dirty you could only see a few inches down. It’s not pool season but it should still look clean. Our room was not clean…the comforter had clearly had someone’s boots or shoes on it. . The dishes were dirty and the silverware in the drawer was dirty. I was going to wash it before using but there was no soap, no sponge, and no soap for the dishwasher. We tried to get ice but the ice makers on our floor (3) and the second floor, did not work so we had to go down to the lobby. I did some laundry, and the price was actually very good, but there was no start button on the washer. There was an empty hole where it should have been. The AC worked well so that was a plus.
