• Joe (7/5): The bed was comfortable and shower worked well. The room was clean and quiet surroundings. - There was no breakfast. Coffee was available in the office after 7:00 AM. There was only one chair to sit on and spouse had to sit on the edge of the bed even though there was room for more furniture. No pen or paper to write on. There was no full length mirror. Towels were thin and only two available. Parking filled up causing us to park on the street beyond no parking signs. Parking spaces were very narrow, even for our subcompact car which barely fit between the lines.

• Lara (7/5): Netter Aufenthalt - Netter und unkomplizierter Check-In. Die Lage war gut, da wir ohnehin mit dem Auto unterwegs waren. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis passt auch. Die Möbel sowie der Teppichboden sind schon etwas veraltet, für eine Nacht war es aber vollkommen in Ordnung. Die Zimmer sind sehr hellhörig, am Abend sowie in der Früh war es relativ laut.

• yamshu (8/5): Clean, comfortable, and basic - I stayed one night and found the room very clean, with plenty of space, and the bed was very comfortable. Water pressure in the shower was good. The parking lot is a bit tight and GPS navigation will try to send you into it from exit-only side street (El Dorado St instead of Munras Ave), so be careful. There will be some street noise at night, so light sleepers should bring earplugs. Location is less than a mile to Fisherman's Wharf and all the restaurants and shops in downtown Monterey — easy to walk on a nice day. I was a little disappointed that as I checked out the desk clerk wouldn't allow me to leave the car in the lot for an extra 45 minutes, as no one would be checking in until 3 pm, and the lot wasn't full. Overall it was a perfectly nice stay and good value compared to most of Monterey.

• Julia Barbara (8/5): Preis-Leistungsverhältnis Top! - Villa Franca ist ein süßes typisches Motel, so wie man es sich vorstellt. Die Zimmer waren etwas kleiner aber sehr gemütlich und komfortabel. Wir würden es jederzeit wieder buchen Nichts auszusetzen

• Diana (8/5): Peaceful quiet small hotel. - Cute little quiet hotel. The property was very peaceful. Very clean and the bed was comfortable. At night the city becomes very quiet. The reason that I still rated this hotel pretty high was due to the location, you’re able to walk downtown and to the pier within less than 15mins, the quietness was very peaceful and again, it was very clean and comfortable. The rooms were a lot smaller than expected. Unfortunately, during the day they had a painting crew come our entire stay so there was always people working outside of our door in which they were not loud but not much privacy. We were located upstairs and we received a phone call at 11pm that the people below us had complained we were being too loud, this did not make sense because we had been in bed watching a movie that was played on low. I found it a bit unfair how they were quick to believe a first complaint when everyone knows usually anywhere you go you can hear the people above you naturally. Another thing that was a bit disappointing was the “patio” they advertise. There is no area with a campfire like the image that is provided. The only sitting area is a designated smoking area which is just a couple tables and chairs in a small corner. The staff were mediocre. Not very welcoming but not rude either. Just neutral. No extra hospitality that you look for when on vacation.

• Leonita (9/5): - Clean basic motel with two beds, decent sized room for family trip to Monterey sight seeing. Good value and location - close to main tourist streets without being in the denser areas. Would definitely stay again. Easy after hours check in. Not a big deal but the coffee / tea / breakfast snack choices were quite basic. Still, they had the machine which was nice to be able to heat up water. The plan was to walk to the boardwalk for breakfast anyway.

• Cherri (10/5): - The staff could not have been kinder. The location was perfect - walk to the beach, restaurants, and convenience store. It was quiet and spacious. Because of heavy rains when we arrived, we were not able to access the patio during our stay, but at no fault to the facility. We will absolutely stay here again when traveling.

• Katie Felicia (8/5): Clean hotel and great location for the price - The location is fantastic, an easy walk to restaurants, bars and the water. It is half the price of the waterfront hotels and just as convenient, especially with the free parking. The beds are comfortable and the room is clean. The walls are thin, so it was a little noisy. They also were doing construction on a house behind the hotel, which was pretty loud. The bathroom is a bit outdated. That said, the price was right and the location great.

Nice host. - I was actually really impressed with how clean the room and bathroom were - I could tell they put in a ton of effort to that and I was grateful! Parking was easy and free. Host and family was nice. Great location, walking distance to restaurants and coffee shops. I mean it's a little dated but let's be real, a room doesn't have to be modern to be comfortable. No issues.

• Júlia (10/5): - Quarto muito aconchegante e limpinho, camas confortáveis e bom chuveiro. A pressão da água não é tão forte, mas é boa. Próximo ao centro e Fisherman's (15 minutos andando). Check-in fácil online, check-out também. Funcionários educados e eficientes. Estacionamento gratuito. Tudo foi ótimo! Tivemos um problema com o chuveiro, mas prontamente nos apresentaram soluções. Ótima equipe!

• Arya (10/5): - everything I liked. I mentioned I prefer to have a room on a higher floor. I received a response that everything is ok, but at the end the room was in a lower floor. For me, it was ok as it was just a preferrence. But, in general, it would have been better to communicate it in the beginning.
