• Marie-Pier (8/5): - L’emplacement est parfait pour se promener au centre-ville. Stationne à 2,50 euro par jour, l’autre côté de la rue, tout près de New grange. Le personnel était vraiment très sympathique. Le dortoir était un peu moins propre mais les aires communes étaient correctes.
• Dave Hanmer (8/5): The staff are very very friendly and easy to talk to - We visited our son who had moved to Drogheda and it was very well placed. I booked a twin room for myself and the wife and was greeted by a single bed and 1 set of bunk beds, totally unexpected

• Maggie (4/5): Not a horror story, but wasn’t thrilled - Good location, cheep Mould!!!!!! In the coffee!!!! EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW (not a communal coffee pot, but someone had left their coffee cup out for at least several days for it to grow mould. Security felt a little lax, co-ed toilet/shower (not a dealbreaker, but a little off putting ngl)
• rachel (7/5): Comfortable - Great location, comfortable bed, lovely view from the bedroom window, relaxed atmosphere, unique environment. It was hard to tell who was working there, would have been good to have been shown around the communal areas. A bedside table on both sides of the bed would be handy. There was nowhere to hang the hand towel. Two towels each would have been better for a three night stay. The room had a bit of a smell to it. Just felt a bit of TLC was needed.

Bereits vor Ankunft wurde uns bei allen Fragen kompetent geholfen und unsere Wünsche wurden komplett erfüllt. Unsere Fahrräder standen sicher im kleinen abgeschlossenen Garten. Im Haus war es ruhig, wir hatten nette Kontakte zu Gastgebern und Gästen. Das Frühstück war perfekt. Brot, Aufstrich, Eier, Müsli, Milch, Saft. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Danke 😀

Rencontre avec des personnes de toutes nationalités et de tous milieux Personnes très attachantes, ça change des hôtels très impersonnels. Un lieu unique très vivant Avenue très passante et surtout pas de place de parking

• Kirsten (3/5): - The kitchen. Outdoor sitting area. Tv area. Shared bathroom. The management style of Rory & Lydia who insulted me. Lydia stormed into me when i was sat at a table in the kitchen & i cowered in fear she was going to strike me. They both told me that i do not follow the rules and i apologised & said i was not aware i was breaking their rules. I was made to find another hostel - PeggyMoores that was a 10 euro more expensive. If i wasnt experiencing financial hardship it would not have been such a big deal. Rory & Lydia were aware of me being scammed out of a deposit that was to secure a room in a share home in Ashbourne and they said they did not want to hear my sad stories.

• Corinne (6/5): A Quirky, Convenient Base for the Boyne Valley Camino - The hostel’s location is excellent, offering easy access to the train station, town center, the bus to Brú na Bóinne visitor centre and jumping off point for the Boyne Valley Camino (highly recommend!). I saw Spoons and Stars recommended on a hiking vlog for the camino. The private room had a charming, quirky vintage aesthetic filled with antiques giving it a unique and fun personality. The long-term staff volunteers were generally welcoming, contributing to a friendly and helpful atmosphere for budget travelers. 1 of the showers was out of order (although there was never a long wait for the showers) and maintenance ladders were left as tripping hazards in the hallways and to the loft (directly in front of my door). Had to be very careful on my trips to the bathroom in the early hours. Someone was sleeping in the TV room each night, making the communal space feel like it was private and unusable for early risers like me. With a high proportion of long-term residents, it felt a bit more like sleeping over at mate's house-share than a guest hostel. Which I've no doubt is great for those living there and wanting somewhere to stay long-term. They do seem to have a lovely community and were ultimately a nice bunch.

• Raedan (8/5): Cosy vibe with a nice stay - The overall feel was really cosy. I liked all the seating spaces tucked away in different places. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Good options for breakfast I didnt realise there was no parking near the hostel but i found some parking nearby. The beds were ok but mine seemed to sink in the middle and the pillow a little flat. Nothing major, just normal wear of a busy hostel

Les propriétaires de l'auberge et les employés ont l'endroit particulièrement à cœur et ça se voit. Thématique un peu hippie, je recommande. Le seul problème était que la porte du dortoir était brisée, ce qui rendait l'accès difficile. Outre cela, très bien.

The shower was not working properly in our double room, it went from scalding, burning hot to freezing ice cold. The thermostat may need replacing. There was no sink or wash hand basin in the bathroom. We found the red and pillows quite hard.
• Philippa (1/5): I was not allowed to stay. My i.d. is acceptable at N. Ireland polling stations and UK ports. - NOTHING went well - receptionist refused to accept my photo i.d. and did not let me stay. But she has told booking.com that the reason was an "invalid credit card". After the issue about the i.d., she did say to me I should have a credit card rather than a debit card, but I had already paid via debit card, and that had been accepted before I arrived at the hostel. I am FURIOUS. I had an immensely traumatic experience - even though I was very fortunately able to get last minute accommodation elsewhere. I believe the receptionist acted entirely unreasonably. I had a N. I. senior citizen travel pass, including photo, d.o.b. and my signature, all laminated. I had the same debit card that I had paid for my booking with. I had my confirmation number and passcode (the latter already memorized). The travel pass is accepted for cross border travel, officially recognised i.d. at N.Ireland polling stations, and I have used it a number of times at UK ports. The other hostel in Drogheda accepted it.

Stinkende Teppichböden, Matratzen so durchgelegen, dass es auch ein Handtuch getan hätte, Flecken auf den Zimmern, Haare auf der Matratze. Durch den Lärm der direkt anliegenden Hauptstraße, war man gezwungen mit geschlossenen Fenstern zu schlafen, was 1. nichts geholfen hat gegen den Verkehrslärm und 2. es nach kürzester Zeit so extrem nach Muff und Füßen gestunken hat. Die schnarchenden Nachbarn aus anderen Zimmern gabs auch noch.

• Fergal (7/5): A comfy bed in the centre of everything - The Albergue is very central and near the train and main bus routes to and from Dublin. It was easy to walk into town and the access information was simple. They got me a bottom bunk, reponding quickly to my query and the showers are large, regularly cleaned and hot. There wasn't a plug directly beside my bed and the beds were a bit cramped together in thge room
