Dit 3 dagen op voorhand laten weten maar het verblijf kon hier zogezegd niets meer aan doen. 0 moeite gedaan om te annuleren en terug te betalen maar vertelde dat het via Booking moest. Wanneer Booking dan uiteindelijk toch reageerde dat het voor hen goed was en goedkeuring gevraagd hebben aan het hostel, weigerden ze te terug te betalen omdat het te laat was. Heel zonde.

Great activities on site. My only suggestion would be to add better individual fans in each pod since they tend to get hot. The little mini fan helped, but could be better.

- Alexandria (6/5): Pretty hostel yet unfair treatment of guest - A beautiful hostel with a lovely garden area. Breakfast was good too. Staff nice. 1. I had severe food poisoning and contacted this hostel early in the morning of my reservation to inform them I was too ill to travel to Oaxaca that day. My hostel in Puerto Escondido called a doctor who gave me a IV drip for my dehydration. I improved and I was able to travel the next day to Oaxaca. On check-in I was told I had to pay in full for 2 nights at the hostel. Despite informing this hotel well before check-in that I would not arrive on the first night of my reservation . In addition I presented the doctors note. 2. The female dorm smelled damp strange. You could hear water running all night.

Man kommt schnell ins Gespräch mit den anderen, ist aber kein Party Hostel, abends ruhig und man kann super schlafen. Frühstück super nice und lecker, alle sitzen an einem langen Tisch. Habe beide Ausflüge zu Monte Alban und Hierve El Agua gemacht und fand sie sehr gut!

- Valentine (8/5): Budget-friendly oasis! 🦜 - The place is wonderful! A colourful oasis! Very clean and nestled a bit quite off the center. Generally calm. Easy to walk downtown (10-15 min) Breakfast was good, served with a smile every morning! loved the breakfast room in the morning! Staff was helpful and friendly (specially Danyel ;) ) The cleaning ladies were nice and often cleaned the shared areas (bathroom, shower, kitchen...) thank you! I liked pretty much everything, but few recommendations : - take credit card fo booking ;) easier than paying cash - include eggs in the breakfast and rise a bit the price of the breakfast if needed - the 4 ladies dorm is small. not a lot of space, so travel light if you reserve this dorm. - not a lot of lights in the room excluding the reading lamp

- Alexander (10/5): We truly felt at home at Azul Cielo - Wow, we loved everything about this place! The vibe is incredible, everyone is super kind and welcoming. The room was spotless and they offered a daily cleaning service, which made us felt it even more luxurious. The setting and events (our favourite was the authentic Mole dinner!) incentivises interaction and gathering - we met tons of fun, likeminded people, with whom we even travelled some days. Overall a big big recommendation from our end. Only regret is not having stayed longer ;) NA

- Dima (8/5): Geht in Ordnung. Optisch top. - Buntes, Pflanzenreiches Hostel. Wohlfühl-Atmosphäre . Etwas außerhalb vom Centro. Also schon gute 15-20 Min Fußweg. Ventilatoren statt Klimaanlage, dafür mit Miniventilatoren in der Schlafkabine, leider aber dadurch laut. Außerdem ein Fenster im Dach, genau über das Bett, dadurch wurde der schalf gestört.
- Gustav (8/5): Amazing place in an even more amazing city. Oaxaca is a place of dreams! - Loved the cozy design and the beautiful interior in our room. Staff was nice as well and it is a great vibe in the hostel but not noicy. Perfect for a family in the junior suite. The coffee for breakfast needs improvement, it was also a bit of a hassle to drag the suitcase up the narrow staircase and through the yard, but I guess people use more backpacks here so my mistake ;)

- Studer (9/5): - Tres chouette auberge, tranquille et joliment décorée. Bien située. Le dortoir pour fille était bien organisé. Le petit déjeuner est tres bon. Peu de conseils de la part du personnel lorsque j'ai demandé des recommandations ou infos ( horaires de bus/ lieux a visiter , restaurants....)

Ce n’est pas un hostel très festif, ou du moins pas pendant que j’y étais, mais il propose tout de même quelques activités comme des cours de salsa ou des déjeuners oaxaqueños, ainsi que des tours comme Monte Albán ou Hierve el Agua. Les chambres sont propres et bien équipées : petite lumière, rideau et casier pour ranger ses affaires. La cuisine est bien équipée et propre, le jardin est sympa pour se détendre. Petit plus pour le petit déjeuner, vraiment délicieux! rien

The place offers a calm and relaxed atmosphere. You can book tours and activities. I recommend the street art walking tour through the city. Unfortunately they don't accept credit card payments. My room was facing the street which was a bit noisy at busy times.

- Diane (9/5): Staff at Azul Cielo welcomed us like visiting family to the charming city of Oaxaca. - Breakfasts were varied & delicious. They always included fresh fruit. We always paid for the optional eggs — deliciously scrambled There was a bar nearby with loud music. It didn’t keep us awake but might be a problem for some. The water temperature was difficult to control. Water water was wasted in trying to balance input from hot & cold. I did love that I had hot showers every night. We loved our little terrace with chairs & a small table. Wrr Ed also loved the floor space. Furniture was economically placed to provide nightstands but not clutter the room. An exceptional experience was the comraderie of the Xmas Eve posada. We learned the call & response songs, lit sparklers & whacked a piñata.

The sink in the room was too small. In addition when doing the shower the water was going over the toilet (eventually a separation glass is suggested instead of curtain).

- Lieza (9/5): Beautiful hostel, friendly staff, out stay was a highlight of Oaxaca. - Incredible hostel, friendly staff, great amenities including a fully equipped kitchen and lounge area. The hostel staff arranged a traditional Christmas posada for the hostel guests which was a great experience and brought everyone together. The decor is great, so many wonderful communal touches. It is a little walk from the centre but that’s a positive because the noise levels from the streets are quieter. The hostel recommended tours are also much cheaper compared to other tour apps. Free drinking water, recycling initiatives as well. There is very little that wasn’t perfect, the only downsides was that you can only pay cash at the hostel (no card facilities at all, even to pay for the stay) and the towels in the rooms could use an upgrade.

- Duncan (9/5): Super! - Het was schoon, fris, goed georganiseerd. Ze organiseren veel activiteiten en spreken goed engels. Het ligt net wat buiten het centrum waardoor je toch wel wat straten moet lopen na uiteten of uitgaan.

- Peter (8/5): - My partner and I liked this hostel as it felt comfortable and relaxed. There are a few different areas to sit in so it didn’t feel over crowded at any point. Staff were nice, and I felt the hostel had thought of some small helpful details which made it welcoming. We joined in with the yoga class one morning which was lovely and relaxing. We just felt there were a few inconsistencies which would have made our time even better. For example we stayed 3 nights and the bar was only open one of those. Breakfast timings seemed to fluctuate day to day so knowing if you were going to have time for breakfast before a tour was a bit of a gamble. We didn’t want to take this risk on our last day when getting a 9am bus, but when leaving we noticed breakfast had been served earlier than the two previous mornings, so we would have in fact had enough time to enjoy the breakfast we’d paid for.

- Robert (9/5): - The facilities were amazing and very very comfortable. The hostel is out of the city center which is great - loads to discover in the area as well. The pillows are really small and flat - the property might want to consider changing them.

- Claire (9/5): Super ! - L’hostel est très joli, la déco et le jardin : tout est fait pour qu’on s’y sente bien ! Le personnel est chaleureux. Le petit déjeuner est délicieux. Attention, côté chambres avec balcon : les voisins font des concerts le week-end et ça peut être bruyant.

- Qurniawanty (9/5): - I love the concept of the hostel. Not big space but it’s enough to get around like I love the communal space in the garden and open kitchen. The bathroom didn’t have the wastafel inside, it’s outside so a bit uncomfortable to brush teeth or wash face in front of everyone especially when breakfast time like everyone having their breakfast while facing me brushing my teeth lol

- Celia (8/5): - I really liked the place and people, very clean, chilled atmosphere and finally not a party hostel with just 20 year olds. The breakfast was a bit sparse and not really worth it.
