- Manuel (10/5): Better than what I thought! - Amazing hotel, the owner are sweet people ready to help you out, room very clean and large, the inside of the room was really beautiful, you can tell is a family business, I’ll suggest everyone to go, really close to the LAX airport
- Hardman (8/5): Very good -
- Mykel (10/5): My stay at hyde park motel - Customer service and staff were sweet People fighting in the room next door to me.
- Uj (10/5): Exceptional -
- Richard Gabriel (10/5): - Room was pretty good. Although my bed has little bit of burn stain, I just didn't mind it. Staff are easy to talk to
- Jimmy (10/5): Surprisingly pleased - Really nice and comfortable bed and pillows. Room clean and tv service was great
- Jason (7/5): Good -
- Vivian (8/5): - Stayed here after a night out in LA. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable.
- Angela (8/5): Very good - I thought the amenities were nice for what the price was. Easy parking. The bed was strangely dipping in the center so it felt like I was sleeping on a slant? wasn’t a big deal.
- mercedes (8/5): - Not much to look at, but east check in, the rooms have everything you need, they work, and are fairly clean. No bugs.
- Victor (2/5): - The hotel was trash
- Christopher (6/5): So so no pool not really anything special! - My handicap with a walker and there was no down series rooms so I got stuck upstairs so I went downstairs is very difficult to give him a walker downstairs almost fell!
- Phyllis (8/5): - Just some construction going on property
- Brian (8/5): Reasonably priced roadside motel - clean/no bugs - Great stay. I was arriving late so I called ahead to say I'd be there around 10:30. They said I could check in as late at 11. Check in was quick. Room itself is of a basic older roadside motel quality with some updates, but clean and no bugs. My 2 main criteria. Also free parking lot. There was construction going on, so they will have new rooms in the future.
- Jose (8/5): - Overall it was an ok stay . Hotels is going thru some renovations and workers were up at 8am hammering. Etc etc
- JEFFREY (6/5): - Not the best neighborhood. Neighbors fighting. Not the managers fault.
- Justin (8/5): - The bathtub and windows
- Eduardo (8/5): Great Customer Service - This is my third stay with Hyde Park Hotel. The check in staff are very polite and welcoming and great at their customer service. I will book again at Hyde Park on my future visits to LA.
- UV (4/5): - Shower in bathtub is not at all good. Normal tap is better than shower.
- Willie (2/5): - I found roaches and I told the manager and he said to kill it and go show him so I could get a refund.!
- LG (4/5): - Didnt care for bedding/towel service was substandard
Facility was located in undesirable location
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The property is in an okay area, however it’s pretty good within the property itself. No people wondering around, pretty safe.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - This property was considerably nice and clean consider in the area that is located in
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Pretty dingy place, tbh. Booked another spot within half an hour.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Better people skills and more friendly. I think that the staff has a problem with blacks.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - My boyfriend and I needed a quick place to crash. This place has all the basic for a quick stay. They have a mini fridge microwave and a flat screen TV with movie channels. Very clean room no bugs at all. Bathroom are also clean alot of room. My negative are you have to smoke outside if the found out you smoke in the room the lady said they can charge me 200 dollars. I also dont like rule about leaving
- Phyllis (10/5): - Lady at the front very nice
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Rooms are good..but the neighborhood is spooky..couldn’t sleep properly at nights due to constantly traffic noise
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Neighborhood is quiet (not much around). The room was somewhat clean. There was a microwave oven, a small fridge, and a coffee maker in the room. The shower drained slow, so water accumulated in the tub while taking shower. The shower curtain was old and seemed dirty. The smoke detector kept beeping, and the small fridge was making noise. This was the least expensive accommodation I could find in the region, so I can't complain too much.
- Quinzell (8/5): - This was a good hotel to stay at.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I love it. Berry clean and has evrithing i need. I will stop aguen ifineed to.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in met our needs perfectly. The only thing I’d change was the shower head, which had a narrow spray radius but that’s very minor.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean and nice place for a sleep place. Worth the money you paid for.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I was little hesitant to book initially seeing the low rating, but my stay was much better than expected. Room and bathroom was clean, all amenities mentioned were provided and working. It was value for money deal
- Jovanny (10/5): Great Service! - The service was exceptional, 10/10 would stay again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was decently clean but for the price it was good. I had no problems the area is a little rough but I survived and was in not so bad of a spot. We weren’t to far from anything at all and close to LAX too. All in all it’s a good motel. I recommend it the owners are nice people.
- Bruce (6/5): ghetto area - no wifi
- philip (8/5): Good enough - Clean, everything works, new locks on doors.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean room, very good for the stay, it was worth the pay.
- Carl (8/5): - Pics are kinda misleading. Looks like a better area
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I was told they did not have a room for me, so I did not get a chance to view the facility
- brian (6/5): - The bed and pillows were hard as a rock and the water pressure was horrible. But still clean and comfortable enough to stay in for the price.
- Ti (6/5): - Everything was fine with two exceptions. The towels were not very clean and the owner's wife was very rude. She kept contacting me about checkout time and then about taking extra towels because they count towels at this location. She didn't understand that someone could possibly ask for a few extra towels.
- weston (10/5): Not your average bargain hotel - The staff was very polite, the room was spacious and clean. It almost reminded me of a small studio apartment.
- 535francist (4/5): *Very Noisy* - Very clean and reasonable priced motel. Unfortunately it was also very noisy. There is a building company on the same site as the motel and they would unload and load their cars in the morning loudly.
- ASh (8/5): - Decent place, lady cleans every day. Just located in the hood area of Cali
- Yaneth (6/5): - The bathroom curtain was really dirty and slamming and there was hair on the tube and the street was closed from one side I had to keep going around just to get in and out
- Verified traveler (8/5): Comfy stay - V nice motel. Convenient. Friendly staff. Spacious room. Area is not so fancy.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - For $80 what do you expect but not a good neighborhood room free old I'm not really perfectly clean
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Neighborhood was a bit sketchy and other than the strong aroma in the office it was all good
- ninnie2019 (6/5): 3 days inn - The hotel was good, clean. But the neighbourhood.. NOT for turist
Very dirty streets, noisy, scary. I really dont recommend this side of LA for tourists, give 100€ more for safety. Another time I have to check area before i will rent a room
- mspalomita (2/5): We were moved - We paid for the room and I called and stated that it would be a late check in. When we got there to check in, they said that they were going to drive us to another hotel down the road where our room was. They gave our room away even though I told them it was going to be a late check-in. The owner or manager came out in his pj's and drove us from this location to another one down the street. This was not the room or hotel I expected. The people were nice so that is where the two stars come in. But the fact that they either over booked, or gave my room away and had to drive us to another location was completely uncalled for. Just unprofessional and odd to be driven in the middle of the night by a man you don't know to a location that is not the location or room you paid for.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Liked the space of the room and bathroom. The Coffee.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Front desk lady real nice best motel I been too very clean
- Malcolm (8/5): Great room in the wrong place - Great room - poor breakfast - bad location!
- Dave (2/5): - worst hotel I've ever stayed at, terrible neighbor hood did not feel comfortable in the hotel or area
- Manas (6/5): - Except location, other things were fine. remember , this is in old town.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very comfortable bed and plenty of space in the room.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Don’t Do It - Filthy hairy sheets, and the owner refused to change them saying they were outside sheets and screamed at us
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was a good place over all no complaints great staff
- antoinebQ940PK (6/5): Overnight stay - The room was way better than i expected. The room was large, had a refrigerator, microwave, and ironing board/iron. I was quite surprised. Also it was very quiet which I appreciated. However, the woman working in the office was very standoffish and kind of rude. She kept repeating don’t smoke In the room like I was a child which I didn’t appreciate. Overall it was a great experience other than staff.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Not the best value for money - The hotel is located in a part of town that is under heavy construction (August 2018). Luckily you are not able to hear it, but the area looks a bit run down. The rooms are a bit old and it could be cleaner, yet it is big enough and the Wi-Fi is good. Our refrigerator had a weird smell and was really dirty. As well as our towels. The service was sufficient and the woman at the front desk was quite nice. Overall, it was enough for one night and I wouldn't expect too much.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Big cozy room
- Verified traveler (2/5): Worst motel I have experienced. - 1. there was a bed bug on my bed - I was bitten on three different spots on my body. the only reason I did not take any legal action was I was bitten only three spots.
2. The room was very dirty. Lots of hairs everywhere. The bath tube was not clean
3. there were a lot of fly bugs in my room. I eventually gave up catching them
4. the AC was too loud.
5. One of the bath towels smelled chemical odor in the first room.
I have stayed many cheap motel in the LA areas. I have been OK if any room is clean and quiet. But this was the worst in this area.
- Sorin (2/5): not the best - was nice inside all clean but fresh paint smell a lott fresh paint and very noise you can hear the noise from road and bad area bed very comfortable
- Ann (4/5): What a nightmare - The rooms are large and clean, and parking was free. That's where it ends. Wall's are so thin, the TV next door interfered with mine. The neighborhood is run down and not safe to walk around, the rood is under major construction and detours were a nightmare.
Won't stay again.
- satyakish0rek (10/5): Satya - Best hotel to stay in LA in budget. Will prefer it again, if I have to stay in LA in future. Staff is very helpful n available all time. Ameneties are clean and good. Closer to residential area. Excellent.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We arrived late and were tired and that’s why we didn’t complain about it but the bathroom sink was clogged for good. The fire alarm device was missing, just loose wires hanging down. No security chain on the door which made me a bit nervous. But, overall clean and spacious, plus the bed was very comfortable (hard). Very basic, clean and simple which I was looking for.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Beat expectations - You wouldn't necessarily guess from the outside that the rooms are this spacious, the beds this comfortable, but there ya go. Well furnished, plenty of room for a couple of huge suitcases to be left open on the floor. just stayed a night between places, but I was pleasantly surprised by Hyde Park Motel.
- Jaoui (2/5): Big fall - Rooms dirty
Flies in the room
Very bad smell in the rooms
15 minutes after check in
We bring back the keys (4 people 2 rooms) and to look for another normal motel
The name of the motel and proximity to universal studios was our falling
Please refund us
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was in a rough area, but we felt safe. Overall good motel and good pricing. Front desk is 24/7, really get the value for what you're paying. Very pleased.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel - It was a decent hotel to stay at night. Fairly close to tourist attractions. Not located at a good neighborhood, but the room was clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good for the price - Clean hotel, friendly staff
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was nice. It was a standard motel room. But it was comfortable and clean.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Room wasn’t clean and bed had dirty sheets on it. Crumbs were under the sheet and pad on the bed. Bed had stains on it as well.
- David R (10/5): - The owners are so helpful and friendly. They added to the stay. I would recommend it.
- james (10/5): pleasant Surprise.. - I was really surprised with this place, check in was smooth, room was great, good sizes, good TV , pretty clean, Bed was great, the look was a little dated but still pretty nice, good value for the money.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Reasonably priced, attentive owners. - Posted my review on yelp. It's more than 50 characters.
- Larry (8/5): Good Hotel for the price - I couldn't check into my room as the clerk said she didn't have any paper work from Hotels.com and was told to come back in 90 minutes. I return and they had paper work. The Clerk was very pleasant just annoying not to be able to check in upon arrival. I stayed 2 night and the trash was never emptied. The linens were greyish/light beige instead of white but appeared to be washed. The room was large, clean and comfortable. Not in the best area of town but the parking lot was well lit and I felt safe in my during my stay. The Location was very convenient for my trip and am going to stay here again to give them another chance at my business next month.
- M. Poe (8/5): - Very Clean. Well Kept. Neat. Lighting a little inadequate - All Overhead Dim Lighting. No Lamps on Bedside Tables or Coffee Table. Would be nice and Give it a more 'personal" and "warm" Atmosphere, I Feel.
- Verified traveler (6/5): CLean and cheap, bad area, too far from airport - Room was recently renovated and clean but the wall were paper thin and the guy in the next room played it all night long. I didn't get a wink of sleep. Check-in is from a window outside and it took a while as they couldn't find the Expedia reservation I made months before. When asked for the number of a taxi to make an early morning pick up - they would only recommend UBER as it was much cheaper. While they were well intentioned, it took me an hour to download the ap (I told her we had never used before and didn't care about the cost). The UBER never showed and she finally gave me the number for a taxi. Fortunately the cab arrived in 7 minutes (YELLOW CAB was great!) and we made it to the airport only a few minutes late for $25 instead of the $16 UBER would have charged...they don't guarantee scheduled pickup!!
- Tony (6/5): Fine for quick stay, but not for families. - We just needed a hotel to spend the night before getting on the airplane the next morning. It certainly doesn't look like, nor is it the Hyatt, but we were greeted quickly, got our room fast, and the room was clean and adequately stocked. If you don't care about the neighborhood and you can live without 6 extra sets of towels, this will do. This is not a hotel to bring your family and young kids to explore LA.
- Douglas (10/5): Good place - Good experience. Nice room. Nice price.
- Rosie (10/5): Nice - It's was nice & clean!!!!! I loved it will stay there again!!! Price is right!
- Andrea (8/5): - Shady part of towne but this place was clean and staff was friendly. Would stay again.
- bluesugger (2/5): Discussing - This room was awful. We reserved online, but they made a mistake and only had a smoking room avalible. Beds were stained, and smelled like they had not been washed in forever. This was the most uncomfortable Ive ever been in any hotel.
- 421johnnyn (8/5): Very good experience - I was afraid reading the reviews about the area etc... But once there it was not that bad, yo can see the hood is a little dodgy but the motel is excellent, the room was big and clean, the staff nice and polite. The amenities were better than more expensive motel I was in West Hollywood. If you need somewhere to sleep nearby the airport, this is a great choice.
- TRice0617 (8/5): Making the effort - There's no doubt this is a "challenged" part of town. Lots of high fences, steel grates, and occasional barbed wire around apartment complexes and businesses. Having said that, I was impressed with this motel. The manager who checked me in was pleasant and businesslike. The building and grounds are "vintage" but well maintained. My room was well appointed- a nicely remodeled bathroom, wood/parquet flooring, newer TV, new air conditioning unit. The room had a microwave, coffee pot, iron and ironing board and refrigerator. The door locks were card key equipped and were of good quality. Bottom line is that this is basic overnight accommodations at a budget price- nothing fancy, but nothing to complain about. Frankly I admire business owners like this who have enough self respect to make a strong effort to run a respectable business in a tough environment. They deserve your consideration and patronage.
- andybX861EX (8/5): You get what you pay for! - Fantastic motel for the price. Only used as a base to explore LA from. A little out from most of the sights you'd want to see but for the price you really can't complain. Room was clean and staff were friendly, felt safe on the premises. I understand what people are saying about the area not being the nicest, but you really would have no need to be walking around there anyway...just Uber to and from the Motel and you will have a great time!
