• Jeff (7/5): It’s getting a little run down - Good location Couldn’t control the air conditioning temp or fan speed. Wifi doesn’t work very well, and depending on your location in the building not at all.

• Mikhail (3/5): Dirty, dark, smelly, but nice location and staff. - The staff is great and location is perfect, but it cannot safe this place. There’s mold in the room, it smells awful, everything is dirty and old in general. There’s no window to let sunlight through and bulbs are dark, it’s impossible to see anything. WiFi is the worst, didn’t connect at first, then after connecting it turned out to be extremely slow. I’ve stayed in clean and normal simple rooms for 600thb. But this price in Silom Village inn is crazy expensive for this room, price of 1000 thb is detached from reality. Also I’m not sure about safety, cause you can come to the rooms by stairs from the street without any security and guards.

• Siva (2/5): - The property was in a dishevelled state, and the room was so dirty. The owners clearly were not concerned about cleanliness at all. There wasn't a proper reception, just an elderly woman who spoke very little or no English at all. I couldn’t wait to get out of the hotel room.

• Shahul Hameed (4/5): Below average hotel - This hotel location is damn good but very old and needs a lot of refurbishing. Water colour in toilet was very brown- when informed the front office guy- he ignored it completely. No apologies or any reason were offered - didn’t give any explanation or assurance to rectify either. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone in spite of the great location.
• Pierre-Luc (8/5): Hôtel à rénover - Hôtel un peu vieillissant qui a certainement dû avoir ses heures de gloire avec le concept du village qui offre tout un tas de services. La conception de cet ensemble est bonne, mais l'entretien des lieux a été oublié. Résultat, manque de staff, chambres vieillotes et dégradées. Quel dommage. De plus, les chambres ne sont pas insonorisées.

• Wijenayake (7/5): Expected better stay. - The hotel staff is excellent. They are friendly and very positive. I think it's the time for the hotel management to think about hotel renovation. Because I stayed in silom Village about 10 years back and it was in better condition than now. Also there was a cultural show during the dinner and their restaurants were functioning that time.

• Edgardo (6/5): - it's close to anywhere i want to go to. There is no laundry facilities as it was stated on the amenities. Shower curtain needs to be replaced. Room is big compared to other hotels I stayed in. It's quiet even it's located on the main street.
• Aravind (10/5): - We loved staying in the place which is conveniently located, with 3 BTS Skytrain stations and Sathorn Pier at walking distance. For Indians, this location is perfect, as the Indian temple and several Indian restaurants are close by. The morning market, opp Wat Khaek is amazing for street food and fruits, at affordable prices. The campus itself was enchanting, with a nice old world charm. The architecture is interesting, and supposedly adapted from traditional styles of Northern Thailand. Silom Village Inn, should actually be marketed as a Hertiage Resort, rather than a hotel. You will find boards describing the history of how this place was started 100 years back, and how they continue to have activities to promote and sustain Thai culture. The staff is very kind and always ready to help. Some of the modern, newer rooms which are on the other part of the campus may not be accessible by lift - if you have specific requirement for lift, please mention it at the reception while checkin, and they will accommodate you in the rooms which are lift-accessible, which is what they did for us. Inside the campus, there's a small fish pond and a big fig tree, which is home to a few birds. If you are a birdwatcher new to Thailand, you may get a few new species right on this fig tree - birds like Plaintive Cuckoo, Yellow-vented Bulbul, Germain's swift, Ashy Drongos, Olive backed Sunbirds etc. were what we spotted here. In all, an amazing place with character.
