• Madeleine (8/5): Comfortable and welcoming. - Walking distance to everything in Cartmel: bars, restaurants, shops, beauty spots etc. Clean and warm with a bar area, dining room and good size bedroom and bathroom.

Excellent customer service. Free public parking out front from 6pm-8am but payable car park within very short distance. Sink tap tended to splatter!

• Jeremy (9/5): The accommodation provided all our needs for an enjoyable stay and we would definitely rebook again. - Breakfast and location very good. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Most enjoyable stay. The Executive King room did not have a window for fresh air so we had to leave the bathroom window and door ajar for fresh air during the hot Summer evenings even though air circulation in the room was provided by a very efficient floor standing fan.

• Dominic (10/5): LOVE CARTMEL - Lost on the Gee Gee's though!! - Staff very busy but still lovely. We arrived at breakfast a little late after some confusion and they still accommodated us perfectly. Breakfast was very tasty! Although I prefer a walk in shower - the shower was still great. Location was PERFECT! A fluffy pillow was a miss.

Great selection at breakfast, particularly considering that it was included in the price of the room. Very tasty. • Gail (10/5): A lovely stay, we felt genuinely welcomed to the village. - A warm welcome and a comfortable, spotlessly clean room with comfortable beds. The breakfast was fabulous, cooked to order and nothing was too much trouble for the staff . There was a better choice than in the enormous chain hotel we had stayed in the night before. The location was perfect, central village position overlooking the delightful village square . We would definitely stay again. We liked everything!
• Helen (9/5): Will come again, such a lovely place for a chilled weekend. - No hassle friendly check in and out, breakfast amazing quality , perfectly cooked and tasty local produce. Room overall delightful and well equipped though suggest changing the mattress for more support.
• Fiona (10/5): Definitely recommend - Perfectly located in the centre of the village with restaurants, bars and pubs all within easy reach. Staff and locals very friendly. You don’t need a car but if you want to explore the area, it might be a good idea. We relied on taxis which was a bit expensive.

• Jayne (9/5): Lovely stay in the heart of Cartmel - We had a nice stay in this lovely hotel right in the heart of Cartmel, it’s an excellent location with the racecourse parking a 3 minute walk away. Spacious rooms with nice bathrooms, the owners and all the staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were top quality, overall an excellent stay and would recommend.

• Diane (9/5): Absolutely superb - Room beautiful, clean, bathroom and shower lovely 🥰 Staff so so friendly and very helpful and informative about the local area. Room was far too warm but we were able to open both bathroom windows and bathroom door to let air through, also a free standing fan was supplied in room. We were also able to turn the heat down on the radiator. This did not effect our stay at all 😀

The room was lovely and with some nice touches, bottled water and toiletries and a super shower. Breakfast was excellent with great quality of food. We went to l'eclume so only ate breakfast but we will return to try their Sunday lunch. nothing
