Please note that Red River is 1 hour's drive from the property. Please note, there is construction occurring near the property and guests may experience noise and area closures. Kathy (9/5): A cozy getaway in Taos! - We had booked this place for a long weekend to ski. Unfortunately, the Taos ski resort decided to close a week earlier than expected due to the melting snow conditions so we were only able to ski 1 of the 3 days we were there. The staff were accommodating and gave us a discounted price for the last 2 nights since the ski resort closing early was beyond their and our control. Our studio had a small kitchenette with a hot pan, dishes, cooking supplies, and a grill which allowed us to make our own meals a few times during our stay. We also enjoyed the complimentary hot tub soaks. Overall, our room was great. Garrett and Geni were both wonderful to correspond with and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would happily come back in better snow skiing conditions. :)

Terry (8/5): Beautiful scenery, room was very clean and large, equipped with essentials, but no air conditioning - No breakfast No air conditioning in the room, got pretty warm at night to sleep!!!
Andrew (10/5): Great place to go, staff manager was totally helpful. - The location, views, and quiet are what i was looking for. It's a beautful area, and the rooms are clean and in good shape. It is a seasonal resort, so it will be extremely quiet if you go in the non-ski season (I wanted quiet, so it was perfect). Very happy with the stay there, and would both book again and recommend to others. Manager was extremely helpful and courteous, that's the person you want to talk to if you want to know where to go in town. The only downside to me, would be related to what time of year you go. If you go in June, there will be almost nothing open except a coffee shop at best. (I was fine with this---I drove to Smiths groceries in Taos and used the fridge/stove in the unit). Fireplace was turned off permanently, at least for the summer. That may seem obvious, but then again it goes down to 50-something degrees and it's a very humid type of cold. (They did have baseboard heating, I was just interested in the fireplace effect). The Sauna worked great, the Jacuzzi jets are currently out of order but a sign said they were working on it.

Darlene (10/5): This was an anniversary trip that was a revisiting of our honeymoon and we were not disappointed - The room was large and what I expected. The staff took care of the only issue we had immediately. Restaurants nearby had limited hours and options.

The sound of the river lulled us to sleep at night.

They were most helpful and went out of their way to give me information and helpful advice about the area, things to do, what facilities were open and what were closed. The bed I stayed in the first night was too small for 2 people, as I was traveling with my son and we had to share it. However, I was able to upgrade for a very small amount of money and the staff was most helpful to facilitate that. That's what I liked most about them.

The fall colors and trails all around always a bonus. I'm always pleased to stay there...staff generosity also a Plus! Thanks A bit noisy with someone walking heavy footed early in morning.

Got upgraded from a queen suite to king suite with balcony - well the place was almost empty when I visited. All was nice and clean. Some things (furniture, bathroom fixtures) are a little dated with signs of wear, seems the winter months must take the toll on wear and tear pretty fast.

Nicola (6/5): - We went during the Summer for a week and our first time travelling to Taos. We took two dogs. Accommodation was okay but we were up a flight of stairs, no balcony. Kitchen space was tiny. It was dead during the week. Only a couple options open and zero activity, even the lifts were open and the one day they closed the mountain for maintenance. The hot tub wasn’t working - waiting on a spare part. The views were amazing but we won’t be rushing back for a summer here. We’d rather stay in Taos town versus the ski valley.

The room was adorable and clean and cozy. The staff was fabulous and friendly and the views…nothing short of amazing.

Scott (4/5): Over priced, iIl thought out, potentially dangerous loft unit - Toiletries, quality and plenitude of towels. The stairs to the loft are small, painful on the feet, plus straight up steep dangerous. The adjoining unit’s deck is immediately outside the bedroom of this unit. Therefore potentially no privacy. Room was warm/hot - not cooling till early hours of the night. Room feels crammed with multiple rotating stand fans taking up space in corner.

Ivan (10/5): Charming Mountain Lodge with beautiful mountain views! - The location is gorgeous. You are in a beautiful valley surrounded by huge mountains. Tons of trails around, including one leading to William Lake and Wheeler Peak. Even though we arrived off-season still a few spots open in the village to wonder around into while relaxing. The bike park up the road is also really nice to play around in. The hotel itself is what you would expect, more of the charming lodge style than an ultra-modern hotel. Nevertheless, the room was right next to a creek so when we opened our window you could hear the creek all night! Staff was friendly and the place was nice and clean. Would stay again given the need and chance. The two bedroom suite is more like a studio with extra bedroom attached, not two bedrooms. As such, the big bedroom also has the communal space so you friends will be spending more time with you than you'd expect. Also, the bathroom is in the small bedroom meaning you have to go into their room to use it. Keep that in mind for nights when someone has to use the powder room and in the morning when trying to get breakfast ready.

Chris (9/5): See above - My son and I stopped by for 2 nights on a detour from our Route 66 road trip. We loved our compact accommodations. The ladder up to the loft was something else, however I opted for the comfy main floor bed and the views from from the front window were magnificent. The slope side accommodation allowed us to walk everywhere - chairlift, bars, stores etc. The front desk staff person was super friendly and welcoming and recommended Orlando's Mexican restaurant in Taos which was perhaps our favorite restaurant of the trip. My son spent a great day skiing while I spent a much needed relaxing day, resting my old bones, sleeping in and exploring the little village. My highlight had to be sitting outside in the beautiful sunshine at the foot of the chairlift having a sandwich and beer for lunch and of course buying a Taos sweatshirt. I would highly recommend a stay here at the Alpine Village Suites. Everything was delightful!

Russell (9/5): Overall highly recommend this great location. - The staff at the hotel was really friendly and took the time to make sure that we had everything we needed and addressed issues quickly. The lobby entrance is a very short, flat walk from the base of the mountain, so getting to and from the lift was a breeze. Getting to use the hot tub after a long day was also amazing. I didn't love needing to climb a ladder to get to and from my bed, but that's life in a loft I guess.

This is our children's first experience at a ski resort, and they absolutely loved it! We are already planning to go back! Great place, great staff, amazing experience. Highly recommended.
Ryan (8/5): - Great, early season option. We usually stay at the Edelweiss but they've increased their stay to a 3 night minimum. The only downside to Alpine Village was that the hot tub and spa services were out due to technical issues. Im sure they'll correct this as the season picks up.

The people working were really great and helpful.The last night some other people came and stayed next door. Real thin walls and almost like they were in the same room. I wish I had done more research. Was still off-season and very few things were open. Was super inconvenient. We enjoyed it still but next time I'm the area I doubt we stay out at Taod Ski Valley.

Noureddine (5/5): Expensive, Uncomfortable stay will not return - The property was a bit too far from Taos, secluded away from shops and grocery shops. The shower was lucking curtains. The pull up sofa was dirty so was the sheets they provided. The hotel was noisy until late hours. The wood was squeaky and can hear guests walking next door.
Yosi (10/5): - Excellent location! You are right there in the center of the village, walking everywhere. The staff try to go the extra mile to help and please you, the best they can. My only recommendation would be to consider a Refresh to the room and building. When we get back to Taos ski valley again, we're sure to consider them again. A big thank you to the awesome team!
