- Stonecutter099 (10/5): Great Stay for My Solo Ice Fishing Trip - This is the second year in a row that I've come to Cascade on a solo ice-fishing trip, and the second year I've stayed at the Cascade Lake Inn. I stayed during the week, and as a result the facility was quiet with only one or two other rooms in use. The Inn is easy to find, and off the main drag in town. A short drive away from the lakeshore and near many amenities along the highway that runs through the town. There is a gas station with a large convenience store next door, a grocery store just down the street, not far from the famous Tackle Tom's sports and outfitting store to help you get set to hit the lake. Check in is easy and done via text message. A code is sent to you which serves as your access code for the digital locks. The rooms themselves are very well represented by the photos on the website. I stayed in a 2-Queen Bed room with a fill kitchen. The kitchen is well equipped, and everything one needs is there for you. The pricing is very reasonable for the what you get in this particular room. The beds are in new condition and clean. I had zero issues in 2025 or 2026 with my accommodations. I have no problem recommending this property for a place to stay if you're the type that uses suite-style rooms. The service was attentive and although I didn't pop into the office for either trip, the staff are very attentive and accommodating via text message. I didn't use these amenities because it was winter, but there is a small courtyard next to the parking lot that has a fire pit, barbecue and seating in it for socializing outside, providing a back yard atmosphere in this little beautiful town, in a very beautiful part of the US. I value my decompression time in Idaho in this quiet sleepy little inn. I'm already planning to be back in February of 2027 to find those monster perch in the beautiful Cascade Reservoir!

We were just there earlier this month and I accidentally left my toiletries bag on an early morning ck out. Didn’t realize it till at our next destination 5 hrs away. I figured it was lost for good. When I got back home I contacted the inn and ask them to check. To my surprise they had it and were so nice to mail it back to me in NC. Big shoutout to Ana for her help! So nice to know there are still nice people that do the right thing! I would definitely stay here again!

The hotel has been updated recently, so everything felt new and clean. We highly recommend this motel. The television was set up with the streaming services. Quaint, but really nice.
- Candace (10/5): Cute room - The room was really cute and had everything we needed. I was really happy that the tv already had a roku hooked up, i usually bring my own but i forgot. So i was extremely happy they already had one. The beds were comfortable and had plenty of pillows.

The coffee machine did not work. The signal for the tv was terrible. It kept buffering and would kick us off of the streaming network until we finally gave up on watching tv. There was no light in the shower, and when you pulled the shower curtain shut it was so dark in there that you could hardly see.

They need to let people know that the pictures on the internet are the ones for the apartment all other rooms are tinyand uncomfortable

- 690butchw (2/5): Dirtiest place you can stay! - I don’t usually leave reviews, but this motel was so bad I feel obligated to warn others. We stayed in room 3 checking in on 7/11/2025 for 2 nights. We farm and ranch and are not uppity people. I used to rodeo many, many years ago and stayed in some pretty questionable places, but now I can honestly say that this is by far, the worst place I have ever stayed. It wasn't worth $50.00 per night, let alone $170.00. By the time the owner remembered to call me back, we were already being charged for the next day and she said it was too late to leave without keeping the money for that night and would not refund us, so we stayed. From the moment we walked in, the room reeked of musty mildew. It was so strong we went to the store to buy air freshener, but it barely helped — the odor was baked into the room. The shower had visible mold all around the floor and base of the walls (see attached photo). It was black in some spots, and clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. The bathroom was completely impractical — no counter space to put toiletries, and no closet or dresser anywhere in the room to store clothes. We were forced to live out of our suitcases on the floor. The chairs look like they were throwaways taken from a dumpster. The cabinet above the stove is grease stained from not being cleaned. The sponge for the kitchen sink was wet and moldy. Even the pot scrubber was separated and needed to be thrown away and replaced. There are no knives, spoons or forks. One of the worst things we found was in the bathroom cup holder: a used razor blade cover was underneath the stacked plastic cups, and the bottom of the holder was filled with what looked like dried toothpaste spit (see photo). Absolutely disgusting and unsanitary. Even the light fixtures had mold speckled across the inside and cover lenses (also pictured). Everything about the room felt damp, dirty, and neglected. There was food under the edge of the bed, clearly stating that the floors had not been swept in some time. We texted the owner pictures of everything — including the mold, the razor blade cover, and the filthy cup holder — and received no apology, no offer to switch rooms, no refund, no discount. Nothing. To top it off, we went to get ice at 1:00 p.m. and found the office locked up with the "OPEN" sign still lit, and no one answering the door or phone. This wasn’t just a dirty room — it was an actively unhealthy and unsafe environment. It’s clear the owners do not care about cleanliness, guests, or even basic hygiene standards. In the email we received for checkout, the owner asked us to leave a review so here it is. Photos attached. Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else.

- Verified traveler (2/5): Disappointing Despite Convenient Booking Process - We recently booked our stay at Cascade Lake Inn through Hotels.com which was a smooth and convenient process. We appreciated receiving a welcome text along with a key code for easy check-in, but unfortunately, our experience took a downturn upon arrival. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by a few gentlemen who had their doors open, music playing, and even an electric skillet cooking dinner on the porch with an extension cord using the outlet just outside our room. It felt intrusive, and I was uncomfortable being in such close proximity to their setup. No disrespect to them as I am sure they are working in community and most likely are staying there as more of an extended stay. On a positive note, the room itself inside was decent, for the price which I appreciated. However, the surroundings were unsettling enough to overshadow that aspect of our stay. The "welcome text" encouraged us to reach out if we had any issues, but unfortunately, the management was unresponsive. We attempted to call the provided phone number, left a message, and received no reply. This lack of communication added to our disappointment. We were uncomfortable enough to forgo the cost of the room and take our business to another location.

The only problem we encountered was the air conditioner would shut off randomly and not turn back on without having to power it off then back on again. I would stay here again.

And the people in the next room yelled most of the night. I had to call 6 times before someone for the motel woukd answer the phone so me and my faimly could get back in the room.

- William (6/5): - The room was ok. Liked the bed and the handicapped shower. The TV was loaded with streaming options, actually to many options and we couldn’t figure out how to use the TV. No one in the office! Had two guests from other rooms that talked, laughed and were very loud until past 1am in the morning. Check in-was by texting. This was a new system for us to deal with.

- Aisake (4/5): - Room had a very awkward layout where the bed was behind entry door so you couldn't open the door all the way. There was no pool on site, pool passes are given to gain access to the aquatic center pool that was about 22 minutes away. No employees on site you would have to call the number listed on the door. Door key pad was broken, was not told about it till we called multiple times then someone finally picked up and we were then told that it was not working and to use the key in the room. We missed a wedding ceremony because of this and we traveled over 8 hrs for this event. Do not stay here! Very misleading! No happy!
- Joetta (8/5): - From the outside, the Inn looks basic. Inside, the rooms are remodeled and very nice. Check in and out is done by text, but if you have questions, a phone call is responded to very quickly. The only negative is the electrical outlets. There were many in the room, but not all of them had both working. In today's world of charging our devices, this was a challenge.
- Michelle (10/5): Comfortable Roadside Inn - Nice spot right on the main rd. Comfortable, very clean, reos pizza very good. Smart tv Roku, Netflix no cable. The Lake is a couple of streets behind the inn, very handy if you are spending time on the lake, the town seems to be a hub for rafting and outdoor activities. Passes provided to local thermal pool did not use but nice touch. Awesome town if you don’t want to stay in McCall due to crowds and higher prices.

- Alma (8/5): - We love this place. Stay here frequently. My only disappointment was in room 3. Kitchenette had no knives whatsoever. From cutting knives to steak knives. It did have butter knives. But if you are cooking meat. You probably will need those knives. We had to use our pocket knives to cut our meat and vegetables. That was my only real complaint. Made cooking and eating little hard.

- Phillip (10/5): A Cute Little Roadside Inn - This is a basic yet cute roadside in. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was big. We enjoyed the fridge ands microwave. The contactless check in was neat. Overall very impressed with this little 2 star gem.

The room was clean & comfortable, I slept like the dead. Forgot to set an alarm so I had to rush a bit to get out by 11, managed to send the “I’m out” text exactly at 11. Nice place, wouldn’t mind staying here longer next time.

- Carcutber (8/5): Nice stay when skiing at Tamarack Resort - We stayed at Cascade Lake Inn for our ski trip at Tamarack Resort. We chose the Inn because it was much less expensive than Hotel Nobo. We stayed in Room 3 (two queen beds). The beds were comfortable and I like that there is no carpet on the floor. I wish there was a heater in the bathroom, because with the morning temperature at -8 degrees, it was very cold. There is a heat lamp, but it didn't provide much help. We cooked our own breakfast and dinner which saved us a lot of money. My only complaint is that there is no fan above the stove. After cooking bacon and eggs in the morning and hamburgers in the evening, the room seemed smokey. We will stay at the Inn again on our next ski trip.

- Amber (10/5): Great little spot. - This is a cozy place- just the feel you want when you’re in a small town. My only suggestion is to have more than two pillows for a king size bed. Bathroom was large enough for my husband and I both to get ready for a wedding at the same time.

- GregC154 (2/5): Bad experience‼️ - My room was cramped, small and way over priced. Motel is run remotely, the office is closed and everything is on computer lock key. Forget ice as it’s in the office. I called Laura, the manager/owner? A day before to request an early check in as I was on a month-long bike trip and I needed to attend do some maintenance items. She responded very negatively, and gave me many reasons why an early check-in was not possible but, in the end said “ i’ll see what I can do” I arrived at 1 PM as I said I would. My pre-assigned room was already cleaned & ready. Received a text from Laura with room access code that couldn’t be used until 2 PM. She knew I was there, because the housekeeper called her…….. yet she made me wait almost an hour in the heat. Very nasty and spiteful‼️ Customer accommodation, even when it’s easy, is not a priority for the Cascade Lake Inn. Arrogant & rude. I’ll certainly know better next time as there are many other choices in town, including The Palooza Basecamp & Eatery Hotel and restaurant right down the street. Warning ⛔️ stay away from this place as they don’t appreciate customers, or treat them with much respect.
- William (10/5): 🔥 This place is a MUST!! - Amazing stay and the lady working there was very nice and helpful. I travel from Alaska to Idaho to visit my kids and this room was perfect. The check in was easy and convenient. The kitchen saves me a lot money and we can cook regular meals rather than eating out. Very quiet and calming place. Great place for dad’s to stay if you’re visiting your kids and you’re coming from out of state. I will return.

- Nancy (10/5): Cascade Inn is very comfortable place to stay - The unit was very cheery and clean with a full size fridge and stove and stocked well with dishes for 4, pots & pan, toaster, etc. Very comfy bed and great air conditioner.
- B6420RSmarys (10/5): Cascade Lake Inn: highly recommended - We had a lovely stay. The room was cute and cozy, with a full kitchen and soft beds & pillows. We appreciated the hair dryer and extra towels. We liked the binder in the room, fulled with places to eat and play, and the map. Good parking as well.
