You walk through to a big pool and patio area that looks over the ocean, the rooms are very clean and spacious, the restaurant next door was so delicious! The owner and all of the staff were delightful! We went when Puerto Rico was having some earthquakes but they have a killer generator that kept everything running smoothly.

- Robert (10/5): Rental by the sea - This stay was different than expected, but resulted in being a delightful experience. The room itself was simple and basic, one of a group in the building which was set on its own property. It was difficult to find, i.e. no number visible from the road, the procedure for check out was unclear as was exiting from the property(sensors opened the gate as you drove out, but if there was info telling us that, we missed it.) Checking in was via the restaurant next door which wasn't open until 10 am the next day, hence the question of checking out. The restaurant next door made the choice of dinner very easy and that was excellent and delightful. The outside dining option, requirement really, not an option at all, would satisfy the most extreme of romantics. Both properties sit on the edge of the ocean so had top of the line ambiance. Now that I know the mechanics, I would definitely return for another stay.

The plus was the semi attach restaurant next door. It serves excellent delicious cuisine food specially seafood. It has multiple areas for all type of gathering bar, outdoor table overlooking the beach actual restaurant for family environment. I would recommend it to anyone.

- miguel (10/5): Hidden gem - What a beautiful surprise. We booked a junior suite which had an amazing view to the ocean. Down the stairs and out the back you had the pool and a large gazebo for outdoor picnicking. Just beyond that, barn type doors were opened by the owners which allowed you access the small beach just beyond the doors. A beautiful place for a very reasonable price. The owners were on site, cleaning the pool and they are a wonderful couple. Stop here, you'll thank yourself. Almost forgot, parking is inside the facility with a code.

Personnel was very welcoming and polite. Overall, the place is great for an escape from the everyday routine. Location was good; easy to get there, and had a lot places near to eat. The only thing I didn't like was that one of the guests had kids, and they were screaming down the hallway at 8AM. So, if you stay, you have to be aware that you can hear from your room all of the noises in the hallway that divides the rooms, including the people using kitchenette (by the way, great amenities) Other than that, my husband and I hope to stay there again soon.

A comprehensive wine list is overseen by owner, Louis. There was a helicopter parked outside the restaurant when we arrived, the owner calling in for lunch - another indication of the establishment’s quality.

- Krystal (8/5): Cozy Getaway - My mum and I spent two days at Salitre. Luis,the owner was extremely accommodating from beginning to end and he ensured that our stay was perfect. He was always available and provided great tips on the area without hovering over us. The rooms are neat and well kept and the overall maintenance and upkeep of the property was great. Salitre was cozy, extremely peaceful and relaxing and I would definitely recommend this to someone who is looking for some quiet time in PR. It is about an hour and 15 minutes from the airport.

The owner told us to jiggle it and it would work! It did, but I wasn’t totally convinced all night. The room facilities are nice, but the “Continental” breakfast consist of make your own coffee and only packaged oatmeal.

We met Luis up front after getting lost for a bit since Maps was acting weird. Luis provided us with better coordinates and directions after calling him. The place is CLEAN, BEAUTIFUL AND COMFORTABLE. The area is also amazing, locals are incredibly nice, the place is by the beach and is near the caves. It comes with a free breakfast, you meet some pets and the pool and beautiful canopy is accessible anytime. I took some drone shots and photos before we left and it was truly unforgettable. Hands down our favourite stay during our trip in PR

We couldn’t have a good night because of a baby crying and a family having a party. We have also problems with the AC licking water from the bedroom all the way to the bathroom and also they don’t have hot water in bathrooms and the showers are old. Overall Very clean place and the restaurant next door it’s a good option. Not uber service around and not a lot of taxis at night time in this area.

- O (10/5): - This place was out of this world. Beautiful views and amazing area with great foot and a lot of places to visit. The rooms are so clean and comfortable.
- Jen (10/5): - We loved everything about our stay! The room was huge and impeccably clean and location was perfect for being “close to everything” in Arecibo. The pool was also spectacular- my family loved their late night swim! Thank you so much!- We will definitely stay here again!
