• José (10/5): Se estive em melhor espaço, não me lembro! - De um modo geral gostei de tudo. A localização é óptima ( tendo carro, claro ). O pessoal ( todo o pessoal) é de uma simpatia inexcedível. O quarto é espaçoso. Limpeza em boa ordem. O pequeno almoço é muito bom. O espaço circundante convida ao passeio e o espaço interior é apropriado para descanso. Muito agradável. Não há nada que eu possa dizer que não gostei.

The breakfast could have a wider selection, even if there are not many guests staying. They could just offer something a la carte instead of a buffet to avoid food waste. The fruit platter was great though.

Cheguei ao local já de noite e não tive dificuldade nenhuma em encontrar o local graças à disponibilidade do Sr Miguel e da Sra Bernardete que estiveram sempre disponíveis para ajudar, orientar e tornar a entrada, estadia e o conforto o mais simples e funcional possível. Senti-me verdadeiramente acolhida e devo dizer que este local não é apenas um alojamento, mas um espaço que combina arquitetura, lazer e possibilidade de relaxar, trabalhar e desanuviar com o maior conforto possível. Excedeu as minhas expetativas, desde a chegada à partida. O pequeno-almoço e as instalações comuns fazem-nos sentir como se estivessemos a viver num castelo em época antiga mas com todas as acessibilidades que a era "moderna" requere. Adicionalmente, devo destacar o cuidado extremo e dedicado dos funcionários que, não só se disponibilizaram para ajudar em tudo o que fosse preciso mas também foram além disso quando informei que faria o check-out antes da hora do pequeno-almoço, tendo sido providenciado um pequeno repasto deixado no quarto para que não me fosse embora de barriga vazia por causa dos meus próprios horários. Desde o paço, os jardins, a piscina e o ambiente em geral à familiaridade com que fui tratada, não poderia estar mais satisfeita com a minha experiência. Se procuram um local para ficar, seja em família, a solo ou em casal, apostem no Paço do Vitorino, não se irão arrepender em NADA. Os meus sinceros parabéns pelo profissionalismo e dedicação por parte da equipa em tudo. O preço do alojamento é absolutamente adequado para todas as comodidades que apresenta e difere em absolutamente nada do que é apresentado aqui no booking. Recomendo, para qualquer altura do ano. • Nelson (10/5): Truly memorable stay at Paço do Vitorino. We will be back! - We stayed here for 5 nights as a couple and absolutely loved it. The hotel, the house, and our room were all wonderful. The pool was a big highlight—especially in the summer, it was perfect for cooling off. And the breakfast was truly outstanding, the best we’ve had in a long time. Nothing to point out. You need a car to stay at this hotel. Otherwise, you're quite far from the nearest city.

Pero aún más excepcional es la atención y el trato cercano que Rosario, Sara y todo su equipo te ofrecen en todo momento. Ellos hacen que la estancia en el Pazo se convierta en uno de esos viajes que se recuerdan ya toda la vida.
• Carlos (10/5): - Local bem localizado e ideal para quem procura um lugar tranquilo longe de confusões. A piscina é muito agradável, com uma paisagem fantástica e com a água a uma boa temperatura. Em agosto existe ainda o bar de apoio à piscina. Ar condicionado muito eficaz. Staff extremamente simpático. No pequeno almoço destaco a qualidade do sumo de laranja natural. Existe ainda a possibilidade de usar as bicicletas que o hotel disponibiliza para percorrer a ecopista do Lima. Sublinho ainda o conforto das camas. Os quartos são bastantes espaçosos e cheios de pequenos pormenores que nos fazem sentir bem confortáveis. O separador de vidro do chuveiro não consegue evitar que se molhe o chão da casa de banho, mas é um pequeno pormenor que não afeta em nada a excelente estadia.

The room was spotless and spacious and the salt water pool was super refreshing. Breakfast was lovely and lunch was available from the small bar next to the pool which was an added bonus. Bikes were free to use to go along the river path to Ponte de Lima or in the direction of Viana de Castelo. Nothing!

• clareandtrevor (10/5): Absolutely amazing stay - We arrived here after a very wet walk along some of the Caminho Way. We were made so welcome and swiftly shown to our room so we could shower and get some dry clothes on. This place is stunning and has been restored very tastefully, recognizing its history and family heritage, but also has beautiful modern spacious bathrooms with large walk in showers etc. Jorge gave us a guided tour of the property and it is clear that he loves his job and is very proud to show guests around. The cellar was amazing with original features preserved including the stone enclosure where the olives were pressed. Our room was very light and airy and the perfect temperature. There was an adjoining lounge which had an enclosed log burner was a lovely place to relax. Forgive me for not remembering your name but the lady who served our meals and generally checked if we needed anything was wonderful. Both dinner and breakfast the following morning were excellent. We really can’t fault our stay here, our only regret is that we were only here for 1 night and wished we could have stayed longer. Thank you so much for your hospitality and we would love to return if we are in this part of Portugal

Worth every penny. - The stay made you felt like Lord of the Manor...and I met the owner during a religious event (which included tea) at the property. Though the hotel was out of the way, the ever helpful Jorge helped with all the transportation and suggested routes when I preferred to walk to Pote de Lima: 8 km. The breakfast was continental; Jorge had upgraded me to a huge room. The bed was covered with divine Portuguese linen. The wifi connection was spotty.

The house is an encounter of good taste and hospitality, we really enjoyed the beautiful house and gardens, the breakfast and all services provided. • Luis (10/5): Incredibly beautiful and comfortable historical house - Paço de Vitorino is an impressive and beautiful historical house which at the same time offers all the modern comforts of a luxury hotel for those visiting it. We never tired of exploring the grounds of this house, including its peaceful gardens and fountains. At the same time, we were so well received by all the people working there who went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and were extremely flexible with us (who were traveling with a young baby on this trip). Everything was impeccable. We cannot recommend this place highly enough and hope to come back soon!
• BenandLoulla (10/5): Superb place, location and service - a definite highlight - We stayed here as a destination as part of a walking holiday in the Minho region of Portugal. It was definitely the highlight of 5 places we overnighted. A superb house set in lovely gardens with a pool and stunning views. The rooms and internal decoration are first class, as was the food served outside on a terrace (we were there in early June). Special mention for the host George who went out of his way to be helpful and gave us a super tour of the house - even though we were only there for one night. Paco De Vittorino is a short walk from the riverside walk that leads to nearby Ponte De Lima, it’s a lovely flat route that will take a couple of hours. Highly recommended.

We stayed in an old stable converted barn and the room was amazing and spacious! Staff are so friendly and even made us a welcome hamper as we arrive late. George have us a tour of the grounds and the old wine cellar which was very cool to see back to the 1600s aspects of the property. The breakfast was also wonderful. We can’t wait to come back again soon - hopefully when the weather is better so we can enjoy the pool too! Thanks for a great stay :)

You feel like you are in heaven. George and the all staff give you the feeling that you are a member of the family of the hotel , home away rom home.

• SueBer25 (10/5): Very Special Stay - We stayed 2 nights during our B&R biking trip. The General Manager warmly greeted us and paid attention to our needs the entire time. He also made sure my daughter was recognized on her birthday with a lovely morning cake and small gift. The rooms were large and well appointed. Breakfast was fresh and delicious but our favorite meal at the Inn was dinner. The chef made us a light and healthy meal of perfectly cooked turkey, salads and an amazing assortment of desserts. We enjoyed our tour of the property and the children enjoyed the pool. Thank you for a very memorable few days!

We were able to completely rest and enjoy the peaceful nature. We probably got the best sleep ever while staying at the hotel. We will always remember the view from the pool overlooking the cow pasture and the mountains. The staff is very attentive and caring - it felt like staying at a good friend's or family's home. The hotel has a small family church, a horse carriage, and a game room which were interesting to visit. • G1587UGpeterb (10/5): An impressive country house - We were greeted warmly by the gate by the manager who gave us an interesting and very informative tour of this impressive old estate. A truly luxurious place to stay that has been renovated to a high standard with retention of many old furnishings. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. One of the most comfortable beds I have slept in . The grounds and views are very pleasant.

• wiresticker (10/5): Perfect - Absolute heaven! This was the second time we have stayed here. What can I say..absolute heaven! Firstly the location… it is surrounded by beautiful countryside and mountains to the north. 20 minutes drive from Viana do Castelo and the coast. A 10 minute drive to the beautiful Ponte de Lima. We even got to make corn bread with Agostinho in Montaria. Secondly the hotel…what a mystical place. Steeped in history yet provides all the modern amenities travellers expect. Spotlessly clean with very comfortable beds. Dining in house was a real pleasure. Lastly the staff. I can honestly say I have never met such attention, professional staff. Nothing was too much trouble. So polite and happy to show us around the hotel (even the kitchen!) Gave great advice about where to go in the local area. Rosario, George and Miguel…the hotel staff. Wonderful, wonderful people. I ask myself would I stay here again? Damn right I will!
