- Kim (9/5): A memorable stay in a very friendly, quirky place - The location was so peaceful, with fantastic views from our room. The staff were friendly and hospitable. Food was local and home cooked.
- Mary (9/5): An excellent find - a friendly pub in a quiet but accessible location. - Staff, location Dinner and breakfast were all excellent. Home and locally made produce were delicious. Enjoyed watching the community activities with the Ladies Dance Club. A very happy evening! A few parts of the Talbot need a little more attention, but this did not impact on our excellent stay.

Two areas of garden, a particularly long area beside the river Teme which was great for late night and early morning short walks. The food both at dinner and breakfast was excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful. Steep stairs to bedrooms.

- Trevor (9/5): Highly recommend- good location , great staff - Easy to find, ample parking. The staff were brilliant , so helpful , cheerful and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast and dinner was all fresh and mostly local produce of high quality. Thanks especially to Tom and Rob This is primarily a 15th century building so it’s not a question we did not like but to just note the stairs to some rooms are steep and narrow. Just ask before booking to see if meets your needs. Even though I’m over 6’ it was ok.
- steve (10/5): - Went down to the Talbot to meet up with a load of friends for a 50th, they couldn’t be more accommodating and attentive. I didn’t have dinner there as we went to our friends for a bbq but if the lunch and breakfast was anything to go by I’m sure the evening menu is excellent!! The location is very quiet and lunch was taken in the beer garden by the river in the sun, idyllic! The beer from the brewery next door is fantastic, what more could you want. Definitely bookmarked for any other trips down that way.

- Jack (9/5): Fabulous location, fantastic local food and wonderful staff. - The location was fantastic, with beautiful walks around The Talbot and an incredible garden next to the river. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The food was fabulous, and the breakfast included surpassed expectations! The bathroom was a little dated, with the shower practically taking off whilst warming up.

Keep telling friends and family what a great, welcoming and quirky find it was! Nothing at all. It’s a brilliant authentic local pub experience with lovely locals.

Views of the countryside, garden and river from our room was lovely. Staff were so helpful, they arranged for us to have an early check-in at midday. Breakfast was good too. Maybe the stairs and corridor to bedrooms could do with redecorating and bath/shower updating.

- Sean (3/5): Could be a stunning place to stay, but if you’re going to have some peace and quiet and hoping to get some sleep, abando - The property is a stunning old building in a lovely location. Unfortunately it needs an injection of money put in, to bring it up to a better standard. Food was good, service again wasn’t great. But that was due to lack of staff and a couple of large dinner parties. The room itself was a good size, the bathroom was dirty. Shower was dirty, and so was the wash basin. The noise from downstairs was horrific, jukebox blaring till 11.30 and youngsters shouting and swearing till after midnight

Delicious home-brewed beer, we always purchase bottles to take away as gifts. Great food, very dog friendly. We've stayed here quite regularly and, althought its over 4-hours from home, it always feels like our local, we're always welcomed and make to feel like one of the locals. Our labrador is always welcomed and is now known as the "sausage dog" as we have to order them for him at breakfast time! Rooms are homely, parking plentiful (even with a trailer as we often have with us!) and some good walks for the dog. We really love visiting. Nothing
- CHRISTOPHER (5/5): Dissapointing stay at Talbot pub and hotel. - Friendly staff, good breakfast Room we booked said large double with garden view, when we were showed to the room it was at the front of the property with no garden view and no large double bed! Just 2 single beds put together with 2 seperate headboards. I asked to be moved to another room with what was stated fron the booking online, sadly there was no garden view but at least we had a double bed. Dissapointed with overall standard of the room/s as totally different from pictures on booking.com. Very outdated.

Excellent real ale served here. The rooms and corridors in need of updating. Smelly en-suite with limited head room. The bed was uncomfortable and the rear courtyard very noisy with early morning deliveries and barking dogs.

The rooms were comfortable but rather dated. The beds were extremely squeaky and as we were travelling with a very small child this was not ideal.

The building is obviously very old and the Room has been decorated to retain the old features of the era it was built in. Great having the pub downstairs where we had great food and drinks. Was all great really, but if I wanted to pick-flies, the bed was a little hard, but then that maybe just down to personal preference.

My wife ate the chicken pie , the pastry was soggy, the gravey had a skin on it . However the accompanying vegetables were excellent . With not having any sleep we checked out early 7.30 approx . Could not look at a breakfast . Just needed to get home . Went to pay my food bill ,no apologies about my upset stomach, no way would breakfast be taken off my bill . So sad that no consideration was made when paying my bill.

- John (8/5): Very good - This place seemed to be in the middle of nowhere but it is so well patronised so obviously not! It was perfectly located for us as we were attending the Shelsley Walsh hill climb. We liked the ethos of this establishment. The chef has been with them for 15 years and uses everything local or fresh and bakes their own bread too. The dinner and breakfast being homemade where possible and very tasty. Good value for money. For what we paid it was excellent.
