- FarAway43812682216 (2/5): Never Ever Book Excursion with TRITON!!! - Never Ever Book Excursion with TRITON!!! On 23/05/2025, I went on an excursion to Shark Point. While on the boat, I was given a broken mask that was leaking. I immediately informed the guides, but they told me there were no spare masks available. The excursion was a failure—I couldn’t properly swim with the sharks or record a video. It was a wasted day. But my troubles with Triton didn’t end there. They lost all the underwater videos and pictures—they actually lost the camera and just said “Sorry.” Naturally, there's no point expecting any compensation from them. They also gave me a defective life jacket, so I couldn't swim properly during the excursion. I also purchased an additional drone video and pictures package for $15. In the end, they just took the money and sent a short video of less than a minute. Basically, they don’t care—just looking to squeeze money out of people. Also, don’t book rooms with them. Based on reviews, their rooms have lots of cockroaches, and there’s construction going on right across from them. There are many alternative hotels that are cheaper and better, such as Arena, Kaani, Kuredhi Beach Inn (with spacious rooms), and Rosemary. I wanted to speak with the hotel manager to share my feedback about the excursion. At the reception, I was met by Tharindu Barnes. He said he would call the manager. Later, he returned and said the manager would contact me within an hour, but no one ever reached out. This just shows their indifference toward guests—just trying to take your money, with no respect or service.
- Sammmle (2/5): Bad service - Tried to reach them on Whatsapp and they totally ignored my messages after a few chat (might just because I’m solo traveler that not benefit them much) and I can tell that they saw my messages. Very rude and bad service. I’m glad I didn’t take the tour from them!
- 151mariusv (10/5): Very nice experience - We where a coule and went for short trip manta ray spotting. It was very nice, the guide made alot of videos and after seing the mantas rays even stopped for a ship wreck snorkeling. The price was decent ans theu offered us equipment, water and towela. Higly recommend them.
- Mobile653910 (10/5): Triton Tourst - best company in Maafushi - I want to share about an exciting and amazing trip with the Triton Tours Maafushi team. It was a half day trip to two coral reefs and lunch on an uninhabited island. What can I say, I chose the best company in Maafushi with a professional team. We were very lucky and met 7 turtles, 3 sharks, many beautiful colorful fish and huge schools of dolphins, who did not leave us until our boat return to the island. I want to express my deep gratitude to the whole friendly and cheerful team - captain Batte, Sheggy, Rebit, Vikash and special thanks to my ‘Paparazzi’ Abichi, who took me a million unforgettable photos and videos. Thank you very much for the great impressions, emotions and happy moments.

Hotel staff were really helpful and friendly, gave us a great deal and helped us to organise our weekend so everything ran really smoothly. Bedroom was big and comfortable. Food was amazing! - Lorena-C-Tovar (6/5): Cockroaches and dated hotel - Stayed in this hotel for 4 nights and it was pretty disappointing…. As soon as we got to the room the sink was leaking, the safe was not working and the hotel is very worn down… it needs a serious paint job and furniture upgrade. Went to the reception and they sent someone to “fix” the sink… after waiting g for a while and calling they finally sent a person to fix the safe but we wasted like an hour to fix the sink and operate de safe box! That night it was hard to sleep as the bed was a hard as a rock and when I went to the bathroom in the middle of the night there were Cockroaches…. The next morning I talked to them as the sink was leaking again, and to complain about the Cockroaches and to see if they could change our room! They said they would fix the sink again, deep clean and put a thick comforter to make the bed softer. They cleaned but the following night we found more Cockroaches, even more than before…. The curtains are filthy like they have never washed them as well as the bed cushions, the walls need a couple of layers of paint, the hotel is surrounded but many construction site so it’s quite noise and this is the view you get from the pool view room, so save your money! The only good thing about this hotel is that it’s very close to the bikini beach and they can provide beach beds and also the tour we took with them was ok as the people were nice, it was advertised as a 9am-2pm tour but it actually ended at 1pm. If I ever return to the Maldives I will not stay at this hotel as I really dislike cockroaches

When my clients found themselves in a less-than-ideal situation at Crystal Sands Villa due to unexpected construction and dismal room conditions, Malithi stepped in like a superhero. With just one call, she orchestrated a seamless relocation to Triton Beach in a mere 10 minutes. My clients, particularly discerning about hotels and food, are now not just satisfied but genuinely thrilled with their experience. Kudos to Malithi for her remarkable service and turning a potential travel disaster into a delightful stay!

Only a few steps to the public bikini beach, which the hotel provide towels and sunbeds for on request. Great snorkeling trip which the hotel organised. We also opted to take their transport to and from Male airport for $25 each, very organised. Please be aware they mostly only take US dollars in Maafushi, so it's pointless exchanging your currency to their money.
- 467hussaini (2/5): Very disappointed of Triton beach management - very poor guest relation service - I have visited many times in this island and this was my first stay at Triton beach. After completing all the payments for our rooms and other services we have used. I mentioned that I was very happy about our stay and was ready to depart. Unfortunately at the last min noticed one of the rooms where we stayed key card missing which actual cost was abt $0.2. They wanted to put a fine charge of $20 they have repeatedly mentioned this. I tried to explain the reception, This was lost last night due to heavy rain while we are outside. We have no issue paying any amount for the services we use in the hotel but as a part of customer care service, this hotel is unable to offer anything!!! Very poor customer care service I give them 10/0 for their poor customer care service.
- KittyLiaw (8/5): Room is spacious but the View is a NO - We stayed at this hotel for 4D3N. Room is located on the 4th floor. Upon entering the room it is very spacious, with 1 King Bed and a single bed. This room type was the only 1 left on agoda and so we booked it. Price was very reasonable and it includes breakfast. Bathroom is very spacious and comes with a standing shower and a separate bathtub. The sink also comes in a set of 2, one for each! Bathroom also has a small window overlooking the balcony. Balcony is also very spacious and comes with a jacuzzi. 2 outdoor chairs and a table. The view however is a no no. This hotel wins for it's spaciousness in everything except for the view. It's ok for us, as we go out every morning to see the ocean! Staffs at the restaurant where we had breakfast was very friendly and smiling always! And yes we will definitely come back to this Hotel.
- shanderino (10/5): Best stay in Maafushi for solo female traveller - I am a solo female traveller. I did not tell the hotel in advance what time I will be arriving. To my surprise, Sharmeel, staff from the hotel was already waiting for me at the ferry terminal. They carried my luggage and walked me to the hotel. Special thanks to Sharmeel to make me feel welcomed the moment i stepped onto the island. He has also been very nice and friendly during my stay there! I will definitely introduce my friends to stay there because of his hospitality! Hotel is very affordable and in a good location. Tours provided by the hotel are also good and affordable (also shoutout to captain sharif during my half day tour and abichi from my sunset fishing for taking very good care of me). Do take their tours, it is worth it. Room is clean and big enough for me. Shampoo and shower gel is provided but it will be good to bring your own toileteries. There is also a pool in the hotel but it is so small that you dont want to swim there.

- Nicholas (10/5): - As someone who has worked in 5* properties internationally, I was unsure of what to expect but I needn't have been concerned. From Hasan greeting us on arrival, through the spotless rooms and friendly staff to the departure the stay was great. We are already looking to book for next year. One tip; some of the room balconies look inward so ask for an exterior view.
- Andrew (8/5): Avoid the Economy Rooms - This review is a bit complicated. We booked the economy option (or whatever it was called) – the option that is not in the main building. The room that we had kept having some of the power going out. Basically, it was the fuse or something for the card that keeps the main lights and air conditioning going. It went out the night we arrived, and someone reset the fuse. It went out again during the night, so I reset it in the morning after waking up hot. Someone at the front desk said it would be fixed. Allegedly someone came, but the problem persisted. On the last night, they moved us to one of the main rooms. Now this room was fantastic! It was way, way, way superior to the economy room. I highly recommend avoiding the economy rooms and booking in the main building. On another positive note, the staff are very friendly.

For all guests they happily arrange transfers to and from the island, excursions, COVID testing (if required) and other documentation required during this time, as well as any other requirements. They greet guests at the port and also accompany you on your departure to make sure you get your transfer without any issues, which is an amazing touch and helps avoid a stressful travel experience. What separated Trition from the other hotels we stayed at in Maafushi and other islands is that they rent out free snorkelling gear, and get you sun beds on request (so there’s no stressful morning rush for beds). Ikbal and the restaurant team work brilliantly all morning, all day and all night to provide the best service they can for all of the guests. They are always happy to see you, greet you and ask how you are and will do what they can to make your stay enjoyable. The restaurant food is to a high standard and is wide ranging. We had local food from the menu but also saw the buffet dinner served which also looked nice. Nuzurul and all the other members of the housekeeping team are excellent at what they do. They are consistent, efficient and thorough in servicing your room but also take the time to talk to you and ask you if there is anything extra you require. - Gareth (2/5): Worst Hotel Ever - Where do I start. First of all, whoever has written the reviews saying that the hotel is good and that beds are comfortable is either having a serious laugh, or they have been sleeping rough most of their life. The rooms are tiny, smell of urine, mattresses are a form of torture and stained with god knows what on them. Bedding is disgusting, with towels turned grey and thread bare. Cushions on bed as decoration had some pretty nasty shady looking stains on them too. Air con is almost non existent, mosquitoes galore in the bathroom. The pool view room was a sick joke too, you had to pop your head over the balcony and look directly below you to see the plunge pool sized swimming pool. You can almost stretch your hand from the balcony and knock on the window of the block of flats opposite. There are at least 2 other hotels under construction that surround the Triton Hotel, so basically there is no view to anywhere other than someone else window in another building or the partially completed building site. The gym is a room about 2m x 3m with some rusty old dumbbells and a prehistoric bike. There is currently a high number of Covid cases in the very local vicinity to this hotel and I believe there was some people isolating in the Triton waiting for PCR tests as we saw the ambulance going in daily with protective clothing and testing kits. Of course the staff pretended to know nothing about it and tried to blame it on another hotel which in fact made the triton seem like a 0 star.

Nosotros teníamos el desayuno incluído y no era nada del otro mundo, pero comparado con lo que ofrecen otros, era bueno. La comida que ofrece el hotel está riquísima! Vale la pena muchísimo comer ahí. La limpieza hay que destacarla, ya que el chico da igual a la hora que salgas de la habitación que si pones el cartel para que te la limpien, la dejan impecable. Sí tengo que poner alguna pega, es el tamaño de mi armario y que las puertas no se abrían bien del todo. Volvería a repetir sin duda, elegiría el mismo hotel.

- Kent Chang (8/5): Comfortable, worth of money and sincerity - Arriving at late night without enjoy meal at hotel, however, hotel offer free of charge activity worth USD 50 each pax(2paxs in total, with full board package), this show the hotel sincerity in serving customer. However, the amenities need to improve, soap and shower gel after use will left oily feel. The shower heater was slow respond and temperature will differ after moments, become hotter with no temperature adjustment. The receptions need to be more familiar about the activity offered, there were some similar activity, should discuss and recommend to customer in detail. The free bicycles offered were not maintained at all, all bicycles been damaged and worn off, as noted 5 bicycles in total, do not sure if there is other been obtained by other customer. Meal wise, breakfast buffet choice is limited, lunch is by 3 courses with selection freedom by appetizer, main course and drink. Comfortable wise, should get a full score but there are some defect and/or improvement needed, sliding door malfunctions (not able to lock), blanket should be thicker.

Although it wasn’t right on the beach it was right off the bikini beach and a quiet location. The food was excellent. Probably the best thing about the hotel was the staff. They were all super friendly, helpful and professional. The only negative was the Wi-Fi but I think that was probably true of the island.

We booked full board and find the food to be adequate if not gourmet. Excursions and airport transfers reasonably priced but you maybfind better deals booking directly with tour operators. There is a lot of construction on the island right now and it was noisy in the room, surrounded by construction. It was noisy at the beach too.

Once a beachside property but another hotel being built in front now. lots of building work going on and views from room not great. hotel is right next to a pylon but has very bad wifi. food choice was good as the chef had his own twist on western dishes.
