Guest Reviews
- Natalia (10/5): - Nice stay, close to what I needed ,
- Denise (4/5): - Staff friendly. People outside their room on shared balcony conversing “loudly” until I called office at 10:15 pm. They continued arguing in their room until I called at 11:15 pm. No sleep. In lobby it sat quiet hours were from 9pm-7am. That should be posted in balcony and in rooms.
- Wayne (8/5): - Very clean
- Carol (8/5): - Ok
- Alan (6/5): Motel stay for one night - Clean basic room. Unfortunately being right on the road we were disturbed by traffic.
- Claire (10/5): - I nice motel overlooking the lake , just a 5 minute drive from downtown. Easy to get to
Tiki bar was just a walk down the hill to sit lakeside for lunch
- Debbie (10/5): - Nice room. Comfortable bed. Short walk to the lake with our dog. Overall, a good stay except for another guest chain-smoking cigarettes on the deck outside our room. We, along with several other guests enjoying the view, got up and left. We had to keep our sliding door closed, it smelled so bad.
- GLENN (10/5): - LOCATION, PRICE
- Jasmin (8/5): - The place is ok. There is some on-going construction around the property. I would not depend on their ‘breakfast’. It includes muffins, oranges, and bananas.
- JUDITH A. (6/5): - Smell of air freshener was a bit strong.
- Linda (10/5): - The view was great of Seneca lake
- Timothy (10/5): It was comfortable. - The condition of the bathroom is deteriating. The cold water in the sink sprays out from the handle when turned on, and the shower walls are comming loose allowing for water to possibly get behind them. Near the toilet i recognized this.
- Donald (10/5): -
- Marlene (10/5): - The view of the lake from the room was outstanding. It was so pleasant to sit on the balcony and enjoy our morning coffee. We were in Watkins Glen for Captain Bobs Dinner
Cruise which was just a short ride away I would definitly recommend a stay at this hotel. Very basic but adequate.
- William (10/5): - Very nice location with beautiful view. Just a bit difficult to walk up and down due to the steep hill. The Tiki bar had excellent service and food, but not good for anyone with mobility issues. The water pressure was low too. But would still stay here again because of the comfortable beds and view.
- judith (8/5): - Beautiful view of the lake .
- Robert (10/5): - I found the hotel at the last minute after "checking in and then out" at a previous location-see review :(
Friendly staff, great location and gorgeous sunrise view from my balcony. Will definitely be back!
- Adam (10/5): - Excellent veiws
- Betty (8/5): - It was clean, nice view but doesn’t set on the water as expected.
- Michelle (10/5): - Room was great for the price, conveniently located to the town, state park, dining options. Great view. Tiki bar on sight, and staff were great.
- Dennis (8/5): - Clean and modern room. Shared balcany faces east for morning sunrise over Seneca Lake. Not a 5-star place but good value.
Tikt Bar is good, standard fried bar food seems to dominate food menu. Nice people. It was very hot during our visit and the bar was not air conditioned, but it's also a marina so one can tie up a boat at the dock for a cold one!
Parking: the hotel is up a steep incline, and there is current construction above the 1st tier room rentals. Thus the drivewaty is not the best, so be careful and take it slow exiting onto the road as there is a deep swale where the driveway and road meet (lots of gouges in the pavement for those who took it too fast). Parking otherwise adequate.
- David (10/5): Breweries & Wineries!!! - Great location and very clean and comfy. Staff was friendly.
- Iurii (10/5): - Great experience
- Marsha (8/5): - Cass at the front desk was super friendly and helpful. Property could use really updating but was clean and comfortable. "Breakfast" was not much.
- Dickson (6/5): Watkins Glen stay - Clean room and good view from room of the water. But felt mislead in that major construction was going on around the property. The marina and Tiki bar were not connected to the Inn at all. You had to cross a two lane road, down several flights of stairs and cross train tracks to get to the marina/ bar. Inn is located in a residential area so not in walking distance to downtown but a short drive.
- DONA (8/5): - The hotel is a bit run down. The property itself looked like it was in the middle of a construction project. Our room was very clean but the hotel could really use a makeover.
- Steven (8/5): - Beautiful view of Seneca Lake from my room
- Pamela (10/5): - Great view and tiki bar. Easy to check in and convince to attractions.
- Kristina (6/5): - The staff is remarkable and the Tiki Bar had amazing burgers… it’s kind of outdated and the breakfast is coffee and tasty cakes… we stayed just one night so we could hike the falls and it was perfect for that! The view of the lake is pretty.
- Heather (10/5): - Always a Great Weekend in the area...So Happy to stay at the place that "holds" our favorite TikiBar :) Just wish they wouldve been open more this year
- Harshad (10/5): - Friendly staff, wonderful view, prefer to stay at the cabin.
- Verna (10/5): Lovely stay - Staff was exceptional. Room was large and comfortable.
- Jill (10/5): - Great staff and good location. Disappointed we were a week too early to enjoy the tiki bar.
- Kim (10/5): - The staff here is amazing, especially Leslie at the front desk! And what a view of the lake! Great stay! Can’t wait to come back!
- Diane (10/5): - Everyone was very friendly and it was fun being greeted by Brick. I also appreciated the night light in the bathroom!!
- Wen (10/5): - River view
- Christy (8/5): - Convenient place to stay, amenities good, staff helpful.
- Kemmy (10/5): - Place is quite and comfortable
- Staci (10/5): - The property was in constructuin mode however the units were complete and in good condition. The driveway was very steep.
The managment and staff were extremely friendly and accommodating.
- depa (10/5): - Quiet
- Heather (8/5): - Leslie the property manager was amazing and attentive. The views are amazing.
- ElizaBeth (10/5): Great place to stay! - Our hosts were super friendly and very accommodating. We enjoyed our stay. We will be back
- Jimmy (6/5): - Was just OK.
- Joseph (10/5): - Check-in was seamless, the staff are courteous and our stay was comfortable.
- Alison (6/5): - Tv picture did not work and they should state that the bar is not open.
- Amy (8/5): - The cottage was very nice and the view was beautiful.
- Michael (4/5): - A quaint Bed and Breakfast it is not. A rough workman's crash pad it is.
More of a Boat Yard with a bar, than a Marina
- Mark (8/5): - Very nice place going through some upgrades. Clean, spacious rooms, reasonably priced and close to town. Would not hesitate to return.
- Eva (6/5): - across from lake
- Cheryl (10/5): - Everything was great. Need a place to hang your clothes and would have loved a coffee maker. Everything else was good.
- Cheryl (6/5): Beautiful view! - Hotel is in a great location with spectacular view. Room was large & clean, could definitely use updating.
- keith (8/5): - View from deck was great but lacked privacy. Neede way to shut off deck light from room.
- Sara (8/5): - Staff was so very helpful with info for us.
I didn’t like we didn’t get a rollaway. They said Expedia would have to refund it!
- Genesis (10/5): - I really liked my stay there. The balcony facing the lake was beautiful and I couldn't believe how cheap, especially since we were able to walk down to the tiki bar! Pretty steep hill to get to parking. It is definitely dated. But our room was very clean. Everyone workingThe front desk was very nice and helpful.
- Michael (6/5): - The TV situation was horrible! No way to watch live TV and missed Monday Night Football game. So bizarre. Although there is supposedly a continental breakfast, the day we went there wasn’t anything. The bed was nice as well as the location. That’s about it.
- John (8/5): - Nice view. They need a shuttle down to the lake!
- Kenneth (10/5): - Nice room with a beautiful view!
- Charles (10/5): - Nice old school hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful.
- Ketaki (10/5): - It was an excellent stay. Very close to the town, beautiful views of the lake, and convenient parking. The room was quite spacious, comfortable and clean.
Hotels.com says they serve continental breakfast here, but they don't. They have coffee, fruits and muffins for breakfast.
If you're ok without breakfast, I would highly recommend staying here.
- Eduard (10/5): - Very nice place
- Michael (8/5): - Room had an air wick smell. Typical 1950 or 60’s room
- Michael (10/5): - Great quiet place.
- BOGDANA (10/5): - Nice hotel with a beautiful view of the lake. There is an opportunity to rent different boats, kayaks, canoes and paddleboards nearby. The balcony has no partitions. The beds are very comfortable. If you go down the steps on the lake shore there is a bar with live music and food. It takes 5 minutes by car to get to the city, restaurants, lake cruises and Watkins Glen park.
- Shirley (10/5): - Real enjoyable and great value.
- Lin (10/5): - The lake view from the balcony is fabulous!
- Julie (10/5): - We loved this place!!! The views of the lake are wonderful!!! The Tiki Bar had great service and we enjoyed the bar food!!! The bed was really comfortable!!! We forgot our Bose speaker and we were called that day and they held it for us until we returned a the next day. We highly recommend this place!!!!
- Santhosh (8/5): - A quaint little place. I travelled here with my mother. We both loved the view from the room to Seneca Lake. ❤️
- Kody (10/5): - Great place with a good view. Cant beat the price. Nice bar on the water
- Jason (10/5): - Very nice hotel rooms, loved the lake view deck right off the room. The staff were great, and it was a fun time at Tiki bar across the street lake side.
- Lawrence (10/5): - Fantastic view! Nice balcony with chairs and small table. Comfortable bed and clean bathroom. Quick easy check in/out with friendly staff!
Drive way to parking lot is steep and narrow. Breakfast was weak coffee and packaged muffins, so disappointing for this price level.
- Steve (10/5): - Very friendly staff, large room with a view, very clean, good price!
- Michelle (10/5): Great location on the lake! - The room was very comfortable with a great view of the lake. The location was perfect. We were able to bike to town in the mornings and use my kayak during the day. We enjoyed visiting the tiki bar and playing cornhole. We are already looking forward to our next trip to the Anchor Inn and Marina!
- Britney (10/5): - The location is wonderful. The views was great, beds were very comfortable. The shower did have low water pressure but still got the job done.
- scott (10/5): - We brought our two dogs. Room was great..kept them off the beds. Built on a hill so potty breaks were tricky. One small level grass patch, but we had a great time. Took the dogs down to the Tiki bar at night. Clean rooms and great view!
- James (10/5): - Friendly staff (owner and his dog!) Easy check in and check out. Liked the Tiki Bar on the lake.
Dog friendly was a plus. We will be back.
- Edna (8/5): - Loved the balcony overlooking the lake!! Room was adequate. Folks were lovely. Had a toilet back up late in the evening and a gentleman came quickly to help.
- Alberto (8/5): - Esay access, good location, Tiki bar and decent breakfast. Wish there was a beach location close by......
- Peter (8/5): - Beautiful view of the lake. The service and people were excellent
- Kurt (8/5): - Good value for the money and location
- Marjory (6/5): - The room was large, the view from the balcony great
A few things like poor lighting in the room. Lack of usable outlets.
Needed to ask for cups. And had to be careful not to use the toilet paper so we didn’t run out- no extra roll
- Michael (4/5): - We did not receive any housecleaning service over the course of 3 nights, even though they said they were coming after the second night. There was an extra charge for 4 people in our room, even though we had a room with two beds. Can't check in after 8:00pm. Extremely steep hill to parking. Tiki bar is great.
- Frederick (6/5): - My room looked like the photo on internet but the place is old and in need of renovation. It does offer a nice view of the lake.
- John (10/5): - Room was big with a nice view of the lake.
The breakfast isn't much but enough to get you going.
- David (10/5): Anchor inn - Very friendly office/manager. Beautiful view from the deck wish we could have stayed a few more days!
- Micheal (6/5): - Bed most uncomfortable I ever stayed in and hostess muffins are not very tasty
- Veronica (10/5): - Nice little spot for a weekend get away, they are updating the property with cottages and other rooms.
This is a great spot between the wineries and the falls. The staff very friendly and helpful.
- Mary Jo (10/5): - Clean&newly renovated
- Izabella (10/5): - It was relaxing and.quiet!
- Karen (8/5): - More of what we would call a motel. Outdated, no amenities, bathroom tile a bit questionable. To be fair, this is a resort area and our trip was not summer.
- John (10/5): - Great price and easy access to everything in the Glen.
- Susan (8/5): - Need a luggage rack & also coat rack
- William (10/5): - Everything was more than appropriate, just that there was some type of construction going on directly in front of the building. Also, the angled parking spaces are not conducive for backing out and exiting the property, since they are angled away from the only entrance/exit that can be accessed. Everything else was great, and I would stay again.
- Bonnie (10/5): - We were able to check in early and unload our car and then visit wineries and dinner without having to break into our day. Rooms have been remodeled and are huge. The view of Seneca Lake from tge shared balcony is beautiful. The road to the Inn was paved while we visited, so it's very nice. Their entrance driveway is intimidating; not something that I'd like to drive on snow/ice. Our room didn't have a clothes rack; we assume it will be installed soon. They made sure we had plenty of clean towels. The water was hot and the pressure good in the sink, but the shower head/diverter should be replaced for a better shower experience. We would definitely stay here again. It looks like they are continuing upgrades, which is nice to see. Great value! They don't really have a breakfast, but the coffee is good, prepackaged muffins, fresh apples and bananas, and boxed juice. There are great diners not far away for great breakfasts. As a friend said, "this is a pre breakfast".
- Melissa (8/5): Clean and great view - Bare bones motel, but it was clean and bed was comfortable, great view. The price was right. Mini fridge and Microwave in the king room that we had. Not really walking distance to town, 2 miles to the middle of town but close enough to good restaurants, wineries, shops and the main entrance to Watkins Glen State park (which was awesome). The only downside to this place was the ridiculously steep and not well maintained driveway. If you have a large vehicle, RV, motorcycle you won’t like it! There was construction going on of new units behind the existing motel, but did not affect us at all. Cute Tiki bar/pub across the street.
- David (10/5): - The parking was a 20 degree angle up and on a motorcycle it was intimidating. Made the wife walk up the first time up and down, the second time went down and back up no problem. We were there on a Tuesday so the nearest open dining was about 3/4 miles away. Otherwise a great place clean and friendly the staff and other guests. I will definitely stay again!
- Kristi (10/5): - Our room was very clean and the service was excellent. However, by the time we had breakfast or the options that you had there at the facility had run out at 8:30 AM. The lady at the hostess desk told us there would be breakfast out the day before, how I anticipated, having even a muffin or some fruit. But they were all gone.
- catherine (8/5): Great location near Watkins Glen - Great location not far from the town of Watkins Glen but not really walkable. Lovely large balcony overlooking the lake. Tiki bar closed for the season. Large trucks passing throughout the day heading to Salt Mill down the road. Be prepared to drive your car up a very steep hill to park. No real breakfast as such when we were there, just coffee and muffins. The only thing we didn't really like were the beds, not really our kind of mattresses (Tempur style). Also pillows very hard so taking your own may be a good idea.
- Beverly (10/5): - The staff were very helpful. They gave us the "scoop" on some amazing restaurants and coffee shops.
The room was affordable, comfortable, and had an amazing view!
- jen (4/5): - two stars because has nice view, the rest was horrible, the description said with breakfast but they only offered you only coffee in wrapping old muffin,we could not have a good sleep the the bed and pillow it was very uncomfortable. the ceiling was stained like it was leaking.the room it was smelled bad.you can hear next room people talking, not worth for the money
