- Erin (10/5): - We had a great welcome. Very happy with our room. Comfortable and quiet. Not a lot of dining options so reservations are recommended unless you want some yummy pizza. It’s close by and was so tasty!
Breakfast at the Inn was excellent. Many great options.
We’re loved that the inn was only a 5 minute drive from the Urquhart Castle.
- Kimberly (10/5): - The Loch Ness Inn was a lovely and cozy place to stay while we were in the Highlands. The restaurant is world class! The food there is absolutely delicious!
The location was great for exploring the local environment: the Loch Ness Centre, the castle ruins, and hiking trails to waterfalls and Craig are all within walking distance.
- Edward (10/5): Wonderful Conveniently Located Hotel - Very nice hotel, great location to Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle. Hotel Restaurant was excellent too. Nice convenient location, clean, great expedient customer service. Would stay at this hotel again in the future.
- Gabrielle (10/5): - The Loch Ness inn was really amazing for our short stay in Drumnadochit! The free breakfast was probably the best we’ve ever had at any stay and the rooms were cute and comfortable! Would also like to give a big thanks to Oscar, who carried my friends luggage up the stairs and made sure that we were comfortable with our accommodation and overall just went above and beyond!
- Teneka (8/5): - Our short stay was magic! The staff were lovely, the location was perfect and the room its self was so cosy! It had exactly what we needed. We will definitely book again if we visit the area. We had a dinner and a breakfast at the property and both were superb.
- Karen (10/5): - This hotel had lots of charm and was a convenient stop for our stay in Inverness. The food in the restaurant was delicious and artfully presented, and the pub was a great place for a nightcap. The room was comfortable and clean and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed our stay and I would recommend this property for future travelers.

- Michael J (10/5): Lovely - Wonderful place, great restaurant, friendly
- Niraj N. (8/5): - One night stay. Excellent breakfast. Room is small relative to pics. NO ELEVATOR if carrying heavy luggage. Is a bit outside town so car a must. Can’t walk to restaurants(5 minutes drive).
- Michael (10/5): - Close to main road without traffic noises. Wonderful staff and food. Bar at back of dinning room was well stocked with every scotch you could imagine. Lots of help choosing from the also very friendly locals.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The only disappointment was there was no fridge in the room. Breakfast was delicious & comfortable rooml

- Mahesvaran (10/5): Nice Stay - Very comfortable stay. I definitely recommend this place for friends and family. Food is great as well.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The room was cosy and sufficient for one night. It was tidy, but I could see it was wasn't wiped down properly after the previous guests, as I could still spot evidence of their stay here and there. Thankfully not enough to yuck me out.
If you are a light sleeper, make sure you take some ear plugs, as you can hear almost everything your neighbours are doing and saying, in particular if you are in a downstairs room.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Dinner and breakfast were great! They have a bar as well, if you fancy a night cap.
- Tara (10/5): - -

- Alicia (10/5): - We stayed two nights while walking the Great Glen Way. We loved our room and bathroom, very comfortable, and the fact that we could open the window. Very quiet. Great food for breakfast and dinner. Walking distance to Urquhart Castle and Loch Ness. Would very happily return again.
- Linda (10/5): - Excellent location, great food & very friendly & helpful staff!
- Linda (6/5): - Very small rooms and bed. Our room was above the dining m and was very noisy until it closed at 10:00. Every time the kitchen door was opened to the dining room, it banged shut and you could hear it in the room. Location was good
- Katelynn (10/5): Loved this cozy inn - I loved this inn, we stayed for 3 days, everyone who worked there was very nice, the breakfast was delicious. We had dinner at the restaurant one night and the fish and chips was amazing. Very clean and close to activities in the area
- Patricia (10/5): - Friendly, helpful staff. Bar area noisy and crowded. Food (both dinner and breakfast) were very good. Best cup of coffee I’ve had at a hotel in the UK.
- James (10/5): Nice hotel - Check in was a beeeze, which is located in their restaurant. The hotel messaged us about reservations so we did them thankfully because the restaurant was pretty full.
The room was perfect. Beds were ok, we find most of the beds in Europe are thin. We didn’t locate a lift to bring our luggage up so we had to carry it.
Restaurant food was good. We had breakfast as part of our stay which was very good. No complaints.
- nathalie (10/5): - Small little hotel, amazing food, friendly staff, definatly recommand
- John (10/5): Good location to see Loch Ness - We stayed in the hotel rooms which have been fone up and ard very comfortable. Staff are helpful and friendly.

- Judith (8/5): Good choice for a stopover - Convenient and comfortable. Rooms are pleasant and clean. Located in Lewiston, which adjoins Drummnadrochit.
- Deandra (8/5): - Staff was very pleasant and welcoming. We had dinner in their restaurant and the food was great.
- Kenneth (10/5): - The room was clean and ample. Excellent meals.
- Ruth (8/5): - Great food and staff at this lovely Inn close to Loch Ness
- Philip (8/5): - Lovely pub style accommodation. Decent menu. Friendly young staff.
- Gordon (10/5): - We stayed one night whilst walking the Great Glen Way. The room we had was ideal. Very clean, quiet and everything worked well. Tunnocks caramel wafers were a nice touch. We also ate dinner end breakfast and the food quality was very high. We were especially impressed by the quality of all of the waiting and bar staff.
- Lauren (8/5): - We made this reservation as it said roll-away beds were available but they were not. Otherwise enjoyed our stay and the restaurant was sooo good!
- Elaine (8/5): Great dinner. Comfortable. No wifi in room. - Room was clean and comfortable. Food was great for dinner. The staff were really pleasant. A bit limited for breakfast. Constantly had to ask for milk for the cereals in a morning. They bring out a small jug for the whole restaurant. We never got wifi in the bedroom. They just said it was BT’s fault although it worked elsewhere in the hotel. Don’t think we will be returning.
- Eric (10/5): - The restaurant here is amazing.
- Rachael (10/5): - Updated and clean. Great breaky.
- Eric (8/5): - Picture-perfect spot for a good rest and a delicious meal.
- ANURADHA (10/5): - Beautifully updated but oozing with old world charm in a quaint Scottish village. So close to Loch Ness! The staff was lovely and so helpful. The breakfast options were excellent and the dinner at the inn was fabulous! Would love to stay there again and highly recommend the Lock ness Inn!
- Derek (10/5): - The staff at this property are really friendly. The bar is wonderful and the breakfast was equally good. The room was well suited to our family of 4. Everything was clean. We would stay here again.
- Ella (10/5): - Although our room was small, it was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed one of the best dinner meals of our entire trip here. Highly recommend making a reservation to enjoy their restaurant for dinner.
- Liana (10/5): - Staff was excellent. Food at restaurant was excellent. Easy to find on the road. Comfortable and clean.
- Manuel (8/5): - Very nice property. Except for the fact that a noisy and annoying water pump was working upstairs to our room and that I had to contact the property to make it stop past midnight.
- Jose (10/5): - The people are welcoming and friendly, the dinner and breakfast were very good. It's clean, easy to find and have a big enough parking lot.
- C (10/5): Best inn and restaurant on our tour of Scotland - Excellent stay at The Loch Ness Inn. We were staying at 8 different locations during our tour of Scotland and this inn stood out as by far the best for accommodation and food.
It was welcome to see that all the small details were looked after, enabling the room to be very well presented.
All three courses of the evening meal were delicious and who knew porridge could taste that good for breakfast!
- Emma (10/5): Loved it - Very cute inn! Both the atmosphere and food were amazing. We absolutely loved our stay and would 100% stay again next time we’re in the area.
- Thanh-Tam Nguyen (8/5): - We enjoyed our quick stay and appreciate the included breakfast.
The room was small and walls are thin but overall it is a good rest spot from our way back from Skye.
Inverness downtown is half an hour drive from the hotel. All the staff members we spoke to were all very polite and courteous.
Overall I would recommend this hotel for a quick stay as there is not a lot to do in the area.
- MONICA (6/5): An expensive stay for an ordinary property. - A disappointingly small and dark room for the price. In my view --overpriced. Location OK, plenty of parking. Close to cafes and shops.
Dinner menu good and varied.
Breakfast choice more limited but service good.
- Tamatha (10/5): - What a sweet find! It was the best food we had on our Scottish vacation.
- Nancy (10/5): Vacation - Wonderful! Beautiful room, great food, wonderful people. Everything was perfect.
- Karen (10/5): - This was a very lovely little inn that has had some lovely modernisation. The new bar at the rear was great. Lots of choices of drinks at very reasonable prices. The restaurant area where we had our breakfast was also very clean and modern but still retained some character and charm off an old inn. Our bedroom which was situated upstairs in the inn was very nice, clean, modern with a good size bathroom and a lovely rainfall shower. Tea and coffee facilities provided which is always a nice touch.
Our only negative was that we arrived thinking we would eat lunch before checking in but the whole place is closed until check in time which is 3pm at which time the bar opens and you can check in but the restaurant doesn’t open until 5pm so we had to drive back into the little town to have lunch. We did stay in April so this may change in the summer season.
All in all a very nice place to stay.
- Steve (10/5): Ben Nevis trip - Outstanding pub hotel, my 4th stay and every time it’s been friendly and brilliant service ,The hospitality and food has always been amazing.
Always a warm welcome and the hotel rooms are stylishly cosy and spotless.
Can’t wait to come back!

- Stuart (8/5): - First class facilities and high standard of rooms - busy bar
- Carol (10/5): - The setting of this hotel was lovely and in walking disrance to the village. Very clean, excellent quality, food amazing and staff were very attentive and professional.
The decor was very nice both indoors and outdoors.
Would highly recommend and will definitely be back.
- Rachel (8/5): - A little far from shops and restaurants, but a nice hotel. Staff was great.

- Pietro (8/5): - Nice property in a good location
- Ha (10/5): - Clean, nice amenities and location
- Stephen (10/5): - Staff were very helpful and friendly, rooms were very clean and comfortable and location was perfect
- Brandy (10/5): - Lovely hotel and restaurant. We had a hard time sleeping due to others staying at the hotel talking in the Courtyard until 5am.
- KATHERINE (10/5): - Great experience. Loved the restaurant!

- Joe (10/5): Ticking all the boxes. - This trip was everything and more I had envisaged staying in a small village on the edge of the lock surrounded by scottish highlands.
The hotel was the best, the bar was the locals choice, which created an atmosphere that was warm, friendly and very engaging. The restaurant was second to none and the staff were impeccable.

- Ronald (10/5): - very well appointed room with top notch shower
- Fiona (10/5): - Very nice room and facilities, great location and veryg ood food.
- Edith (8/5): - Wonderful lodging and dining, with nice amenities. Make sure to make dining reservations in advance, even in the shoulder season. We stayed in Inn room #12, which is the only ground-floor room, adjacent to the restaurant. While the room was lovely and the proximity to the restaurant was no bother, we could hear everything happening in the room above us — every step taken, every word uttered. Bring earplugs!
- Mary (10/5): - Terrific room was comfortable and clean. A bit of restaurant noise but that didn’t go on late.
- Jessica (10/5): Great Inn with restaurant and Bar - The inn was lovely. Room were very comfortable. The restaurant and bar were amazing. The food was delicious and the drinks were very tasty. The staff were lovely and very easy to chat with.
- Cathy (10/5): Wonderful Gem near Inverness - Absolutely delightful in every way and a perfect location.
