- AnisToro (10/5): Work hard, lounge harder! - Coming to Rio to work is almost a crime, but staying at the Emiliano makes up for it. This is one of my favorite hotels in the world. The views (if you can get them) of the beautiful Copacabana beach are beautiful. Even when you look to the inside of the room, they make up by a beautiful ambiance: sweet scents, relaxing lighting, and a magical bathtub. A quiet room to get your work done, and a fantastic rooftop pool to wind down. PS - the best thing was always getting the sweetest welcome after a day at work!

I don't think I got the full hotel experience that business travel gets you. This is a small hotel, just bear that in mind.

- detective1 (10/5): Great place to stay in Rio right on the beach - The hotel position is right between Copacabana and Ipanema beaches, the hotel has an outstanding top floor lounging area with a plunge pool and the best view of any hotel I have so far stayed in. The staff are awesome! They are so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble - also I have never seen so many staff. I would only mention Augusto. So helpful and happy to see us The beach facing room was large with all the facilities that anyone could require with a good wide bed but the bedroom carpet was a little tired and in need of either a thorough clean or replacement. The wet room shower and bath area had the water drainage area unfinished and unnecessarily, really ugly but everything worked efficiently The Toto Japanese toilet was great!!!! Food in the restaurant was nicely presented but pretentious and tended to be expensive However, all in all, a lovely stay

The staff were amazing - the reception team (particularly Fabrizio) were very welcoming, friendly and so helpful but honestly, this was the case for everyone I came across. They really made me feel welcome. The communication was excellent, I arrived early and the team went above and beyond to make me feel welcome until the room was ready. The room was lovely, spacious and so very clean. Breaking was delicious, amazing service. I loved the beach service too. Very good value for money.

- Eliana (6/5): Muito caro, pra pouco - A vista Quartos mal conservado, placa do ar condicionado caindo, porta da varanda muito difícil de abrir, não tem gavetas para guarda as roupas, elevador que leva a piscina quebrado durante toda a estadia, tudo é cobrado até o cafezinho que vc pode fazer no quarto oque nos outros hotéis é de graça. Bolsa de praia que é cortesia em outros hotéis de mesma categoria no Emiliano também é pago, pelo valor pago o Hotel oferece pouco.

Eat elsewhere! - The rooms were lovely and were very clean, however food in the hotel was very expensive and not nearly as good quality as local restaurants where you can get excellent, high quality food for a fraction of the price. The staff were amazing, very helpful and friendly and could not do enough for us. My top tip would be to decline the tour guide recommended by the hotel… he was excellent but we paid nearly $1,000 AUD for the day which we were shocked by. Our own fault really as we were informed of the hourly rate, but we lost track of time as the guide was very careful to make sure we spent as much time with him as possible. In summary, would definitely stay in Emiliano… a beautiful hotel and fabulous location, but eat elsewhere and source a more reasonable tourist guide yourself.

- DJM3B (10/5): REO! Relax, Eat, Ocean - This hotel is the perfect location to relax, eat, and spend time in the ocean! You walk across the street and they have lounge chairs for you!! The Emiliano Team is the best! Thank you Fernanda, Hillary, Cissa ,and the entire Emiliano staff! The Emiliano is a SLH; well decorated and architecturally designed. Unfortunately, the humidity has affected some of the spaces; water marks in the ceiling, water damage on wood, and inefficient repairs. There is a higher expectation of maintaining the brand standards of hotels identified as “fine/luxury hotels”. However, they were not so egregious to stay elsewhere. ROOMS: We were upgraded to an ocean view which is nice to have the balcony. The rooms were basically the same. FOOD: Food is DELICIOUS!! Service is EXCELLENT!!! I can’t say it enough how wonderful the staff is at making you feel comfortable and learning the language without judgement. Thank you Sir Maia our host for breakfast. Try everything for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The Emiliano has a special course meal when there is a full moon. We regretted going elsewhere for our celebratory dinner. POOL: Small but rooftop views are beautiful! It’s great if you enjoy lounging. The pool bar is great, plenty of seating for having a meal without the sun beating down on you. The team is great. SPA: GO!!!!! Suggestion for hotel - please consider full figured women😉 (top/bottom) when purchasing robes and massage attire. Thank again Fernanda, Hillary,, and Cissi! These ladies set the tone for our vacation/ celebration - coordinating concert tickets at the Blue Note, suggestions for great dining, (we chose wrong😂) and just all around great spirits! The gentlemen were also attentive (Henry and concierge team, rooftop staff, and host in the dining hall). It was more than kindness; they have such a good balance of professionalism and engagement that overshadowed any superficial deficiencies of the hotel - which were out of their control. - Michel (1/5): Ambiente hostil - Sinceramente a cerca de 1 ano nada mais me agrada, decadência total do ambiente, não presam mais pela experiência. A recepção parece a do atendimento dos hotéis low cost 3 estrelas. O gerente geral nunca está presente, a supervisora de plantão tratada com descaso as necessidades dos hóspedes. Se você deseja ter uma experiência de antigamente ou busca a mesma quantidade de Fasano e/ou Rede Belmond recomendo você não investir o seu tempo de folga/férias e seu dinheiro no Emiliano Rio. A cerca de um ano saíram diversas profissionais que atendiam super bem os hóspedes frequentes, hoje a gerência é o que tem de pior na rede hotelaria no Rio, sem traquejo para gerir eventuais incidentes, que podem ocorrer. Presencial bate boca na área da piscina. Ou seja, o ambiente está degradado. Gustavo uns dos proprietários costumava frequentar o hotel antes, exigindo qualidade e cortesias aos hóspedes, hoje não mais.

- jamalb545 (10/5): Amazing Ocean Suite for a family of 4 - This hotel is perfectly located across from the beach and walking distance from other beaches. The feel is very much boutique but offers everything the larger hotels offer. We went with the ocean junior suite and the room was just perfect for a family of four. Amazing view over looking the ocean and spacious. The staff was amazing surprising us with treats throughout our stay and the inclusive breakfast was so worth it, far from your traditional continental breakfast. Stay here.

Great service, great food. The view from the pool is incredible. Will definitely stay there again. No complaints at all.

Até então, sempre havia tido experiências boas ou excelentes, mas tudo se perdeu quando realmente precisei da atenção e do cuidado da equipe do hotel. 1. Falha no transfer indicado pelo hotel Antes mesmo da chegada, o primeiro problema. Eu e minha noiva viajávamos de cidades e voos diferentes, e, pela primeira vez, ela chegaria pelo aeroporto do Galeão. Solicitei ao hotel a gentileza de indicar um motorista ou táxi de confiança — o que foi prontamente feito. No entanto, ao desembarcar, o táxi combinado simplesmente não estava lá, não atendia o telefone, e o hotel demorou muito a responder. Ela acabou tendo que resolver a situação por conta própria, em total insegurança e desconforto. 2. Check-in sem sistema Mesmo sendo um hóspede recorrente, precisei refazer todo o cadastro e entregar documentos, pois o sistema estava fora do ar. Não é esse o tipo de experiência que se espera de um hotel desse padrão, muito menos de um cliente que já se hospedou diversas vezes. 3. Extravio do meu aparelho Invisalign Em um dos dias de arrumação, meu aparelho Invisalign foi literalmente jogado fora. Um item pessoal, caro e essencial, descartado por descuido. 4. Problemas no quarto O quarto, que sempre considerei bom, desta vez apresentou inúmeros problemas: a máquina de café não funcionava direito, o telefone também não, e a privada — que possui acionamento eletrônico — estava com várias funções inoperantes. 5. Rooftop parcialmente fechado O rooftop, um dos grandes atrativos do hotel, estava em reforma, com metade do espaço interditado — algo que não foi informado previamente no momento da reserva. 6. Barulho insuportável durante a noite O ponto mais chocante: o quarto não tem isolamento acústico. O próprio hotel realizou um show no térreo, e durante duas horas o barulho era ensurdecedor.

- Deezee59 (10/5): Beautiful Hotel in Copacabana - I had a great stay at Emiliano Hotel Rio de Janeiro. Location in Copacabana with views of the ocean is very central, breakfast with unlimited a la carte menu was fantastic, and the rooftop pool is gorgeous (with views of Copacabana Beach). My room faced other buildings in the back so if views from your room are important, be sure to mind the room type you book. What really stood out was the genuine and friendly service. Everyone made us feel welcome throughout our stay and were helpful even when things were not perfect. Fernando from Guest Services/Bell Desk deserves a special mention. After I checked-out I realized I left my AirPods in the pocket of the bathrobe. When we went back to the room we realized it had already been sent down to laundry with other linens. Fernando took time to personally go to the laundry to search and found them for me! This was very impressive as it was my fault to have left them behind. With gratitude, I will definitely stay here again.
