Guest Reviews
- Cris Jensen (4/5): - The state itself is unsafe, so maybe not their fault. We also had trouble checking in. The place is below mid, not surprisingly, it’s Motel 6. Beddings smell weird.
- Marielen (10/5): - H
- Orlando (10/5): Will stay again - My stay was great. Nice clean rooms, friendly staff and a great price!
- Vincent (8/5): - Just nice and comfortable
- Crystal (10/5): - Alexis at the front desk was awesome
- Bobby (10/5): - Room was clean and quiet. Edith had excellent customer service skills. She proudly welcomed all customers. Would stay again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): 2 Nights/3 Days - It was a reasonable price to stay in Portland, Oregon. We were 15 minutes away from the downtown. Overall, it was a good stay. The stuff was friendly and helpful. I very much appreciate them. It was an easy check-in and check out. However, there was no water or coffee to drink in the room. I should note that they provide coffee from 5 am to 10 am in the reception. There was not any shampoo or conditioner in the bathroom. They provided two small hand soaps which was actually helpful. Also, there was not any hair dryer in the room. They provide one with your ID if you ask the reception. The room was clean and the room service was good. I would definitely consider staying there again if I visit Portland, Oregon.
- Anne (10/5): A good nights sleep. - It was fine , I would stay again .😁
- Mama (10/5): - I think the best part of my stays are checking in and seeing Micheal! He's by far the friendliest, most caring person here! I highly recommend as he will make sure your visit is great☺️
- Carmen (2/5): - I did not stay all the days Monday through Friday. I checked out Thursday and the hotel would not reimburse me. I was told to reach out to Expedia and Expedia does not respond to my messages or emails.
- Kellie (10/5): Great Stay - Guest services were all very nice. My room was clean and very comfortable
- Alexis (10/5): - Staff was very polite and helpful!
Roxanne general manager rocks!
- Juanita (10/5): - The staff was wonderful, very helpful and friendly. I went ahead and added another night to my stay.
- Stephanie Faye C (4/5): - The front desk staff were helpful and very nice. The coffee was surprisingly great and bed was fairly comfortable. There were no drawers or a closet, just cubbies to put your stuff. There was no indication of if or when housekeeping would come - so when they did come in I was not pleased someone had been in my room (especially because they did not provide a sign for anyone that did not want this service). My first room had used towels, used sheets, and cigarette holes in the bedding. The front desk gave me a new room immediately after that had clean towels and bedding BUT there were still cigarette holes in the sheets. When I returned to the hotel after housekeeping had been there unexpectedly to clean, my room smelled like cigarettes so I had to keep the window open to air it out. SO GROSS. NEVER AGAIN.
- Danira (4/5): - This is place is around a ton of homeless people, the stores around the motel are closed
because of theft. Don’t come here it’s unsafe👍
- Muhammad (10/5): - nice
- Charles (10/5): - Frendly desk clerk, easy check in,and though my flight in was delayed they held my reservation till 4 am.
- Margaret (8/5): - We liked the time it took to get to PDX at 4:00 a.m. it was about 15 minutes. We didn’t see any places to eat or drink nearby. It’s a good choice for the money if you are just wanting a clean place to shower and sleep for a night. The neighborhood itself isn’t exactly inviting. Staff was friendly and helpful.
- Denise (6/5): - A lot smaller than expected and lots of homeless not far from it. Bathroom door and wall could definitely use a good paint job, looked like pink and red nail polish on randomly on them????
Unlike most places, they do NOT provide complimentary shampoo or soap in the bathrooms. The lady said that is how they keep their costs down. So make sure you have your own. Rooms could use a little more TLC especially to some smaller but important details.
- Donald (8/5): - I stay here often. Just a place to sleep and it’s very good for that.
- Felipe (6/5): Horrible elevator smell - The elevator had a horrible smell of piss so bad that it made me almost puke every time
- Nathanael (10/5): - Clean and secure. Comfortable accommodations at a good price. The area surrounding has definitely changed for the worse but the motel didnt seem affected.
- Jenna (2/5): - No
- Melvin (10/5): - Excellent service, nice staff
- Gordon (8/5): - Room was updated and clean. It is not a great area but for the price it was nice.
- Tiphony (6/5): Alright - The lady at the Check-in desk was new and was left by herself to check people in. I had to pop my head outside and call the other clerk to come in assist. There were no big towels in the bathroom, and there was only hand soap luckily I travel with my own toiletries so it wasn’t a huge deal. The beds were alright. The area around the hotel felt a little dicey and there was always a homeless, or drugged up person wandering around the parking lot.
- Jayne (6/5): - When you book one of the cheapest hotels in Portland that’s what you get. However the bed and pillows were comfortable and the front desk lady was nice. It was clean enough? The bathroom door had smudges all over it so not super clean
- KIRTA (6/5): - Property was not so clean.
- amey (2/5): - Homeless & crackheads everywhere! Worst location ever!!
- Jiayi (2/5): - Horrible service
- Michael (10/5): Portland by the race track motel 6 - 5 star customer service from the time I entered the parking lot, parking lot clean plenty of parking well lit, front desk women was nice and courteous, easy check in and a clean non smoking room.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Staff were great and helpful, rooms clean. Not much nearby in area.
- Ken (10/5): - Friendly staff, good location.
- Kejaney (10/5): - Victoria was amazing issues me a refund after staying one day and didn’t want to stay the next
- Victor (10/5): - It was clean- a big plus.
- Chandra (10/5): - Quiet and easy to get around next to transit.
- Stephen (10/5): - Great staff.
- Tulpe Ruth (4/5): - Isolated, air-condition is not adjustable, limited access to restaurant
- Andrea (6/5): - Ot was just okay.
- Jeffrey (8/5): - I really appreciate the staff here. I got into town a couple hours before checkout, and the lady working the welcome desk was kind enough to get me into my room early. I was able to spend more time with my brother as a result, and that meant a lot. Definitely will be returning for my next visit.
- Chandra (10/5): - Lovely stay. No issues and property was pristine outside. Of course some stains on pet floor but no foul odor and relaxed environment.
- Junda (10/5): - Good Value, close to Portland International Raceway.
- Eva (6/5): - Liked thevkocation but a lot of homeless do wooried about security
- Clarissia (8/5): Comfortable stay - The staff are usually very friendly and helpful there’s security to make you feel safe and comfortable
- Katherine (6/5): - The staff were really wonderful! The inside was nice but, that said, I had to deal with a sad theft of a lot of belongings from a parking spot directly in front of the lobby door.
- Kiera (8/5): - The staff is very accomodatng and friendly.
Rooms are clean. Convenient to freeway. Area is a little run down, pillows are uncomfortable and walls are very thin. Overall a place to sleep for a cheaper price.
- RORY (6/5): - The manager at the building was kind .
- Rose (10/5): - Everything was great
- Melia (10/5): - Good
- nathan (10/5): - Very basic and inexpensive
- Larry (6/5): - Shannon at the front desk was very helpful and friendly.
She's great. The room was clean and safe.
The location around the hotel is a bit scary - industrial area with homeless wandering around.
Person in room above us was quite loud, heavy walker, things dropping. Not the hotel's fault.
- Cesar (10/5): - No coffee maker and the WiFi didn’t work at all.
- Devendra (10/5): - Overall good and worth to stay as per money
- Brian (6/5): - Sketchy area
- Melissa (10/5): Very nice - We were very happy with our stay. I have stayed at several motel 6’s. Including different ones around the Portland area. This one is by far my favorite. Everything was clean and well kept up. The staff were friendly and helpful. They have a nice area to take your dog potty. The grounds were very well maintained. We will definitely stay there again!
- Chris (6/5): - This is not far from Portland raceway and it was a cheaper room , but lots of homeless persons in this area .
- jason (4/5): - Dirty everything spit balls in shower, sticky tables, dirty sink, not vacuumed.
- Lori (10/5): - The front desk person was lovely and very friendly!
- Barbara (6/5): - Only problem was a very noisy upstairs neighbor at all times of night.
- Robert (4/5): - The TV woudn't work. The desk clerk tried several things to remedy the problem with no success. It was a busy time so no other rooms were available. The heater was terrible. Had to set it to 80 degrees to get somewhat comfortable.
- Ric (6/5): - Dirty, rundown, had to ask for towels after they were taken from the room and room not cleaned. No coffee maker. This is the second different motel 6 I've stayed at that's been dirty. I'm done
- Richard (8/5): - Staff were very accommodating with questions or concerns.
A few issues came up with other guests during the stay.
The price of the property reflected the issues.
- devon (8/5): - *
- Valerie (10/5): - Very friendly & helpful team working here!
- Patricia (8/5): - I saw hairs on the floor of washrooms and also found hairs on my bedsheet. Smell is not good when I opened the door of my room. The back of washroom door is not clean.
- Heng (8/5): - It’s fair
- Gabriela (6/5): - I was given a smokers room but they were able to switch me to a regular non smoker room but overal it wasnt the nices place you gget what you paid for the elevator was dirty.
- Claudia (4/5): - The staff was helpful but our room was discusging. Dirty sheets, pillows even our towels. Our room smelt like cigarette smoke and dogs were packing right next to our room even through the floor was labeled no pets.
- Shashi (2/5): - The property manager was so rude. We arrived the hotel around 12:00am and showed the confirmation from Expedia. The manager kept us outside for 2 hours as she kept repeating that the booking has not confirmed by Expedia. I have to made double payment to stay the property at the middle of the night. We also has to call expedia to figure things out. Altough the experida customer service was giving the hotel manager the payment clarification number, the manager was still arrogant to let us in the hotel. The worst customer service I have ever received.
- Thomas (4/5): - Was only given small, hand towels. No large towels were in room.
A fairly noisy place.
The young woman at the front desk that checked me in was nice and helpful, though.
- Eric (10/5): - This is a clean, affordable, functional place to rest. The staff are hardworking and my room was diligently serviced and made up each day. The wifi and TV worked well, and coffee was provided each morning in the lobby.
The location is conveniently close to a highway and the racetrack. It is in a more industrial neighborhood, but I never felt unsafe.
- Jennifer (2/5): AVOID AT ALL COSTS! not worth the hassle! - stay anywhere else. People LIVE in this hotel. Someone let their dog crap in front of the front door and tracked it through the lobby. hotels.com and motel 6 systems do not communicate well and my reservation was lost and the clerk and his jerky manager Roxanne had NO IDEA how to handle this case. I stood in the lobby for almost 4 hours. after 4 hours, Roxanne finally figured out the problem and got me one of the two rooms I paid for but it still didn’t get me the other hotel room I needed for the 5 people in our group.
she went into deep details about how and why it happened but it didn’t matter to me because I didn’t have the room I needed, got frustrated and I finally lost my cool at 3:15 am. she decided to be an a**hole and called security on me to escort me out of the lobby for raising my voice. how about if your company does business with hotels.com you have some goddamn policies and procedures to deal with situations quickly and not leave travel weary customers standing in your lobby for 4 hours!
- Roberta (10/5): - The floors were cold but clean
- Shane (4/5): - Room was not clean. Sheets dirty and another persons hair was on my pillow when I got there.
- Ben (10/5): - Outstanding check in with clerk, quick, efficient, and informative .
- Joseph (2/5): - 4 channels on the TV. Burn holes in the bedding. The bed is terrible.
- Crystal (10/5): - Staff Was extremely helpful and friendly. Very quiet and peaceful stay
- Chandra (8/5): - Great minus no one clean up after their dogs
- Kenneth (8/5): - Not in the best part of Portland but one of the best Motel 6 I’ve been to
- Leon (10/5): - The staff was very helpful.
- Chandra (10/5): - It was effective, easy to get to, and not bad to get around.
- Jordan (10/5): Good place to stay - I like to stay at Motel6 locations because they are inexpensive, comfortable and my dog can stay for free.
- Chandra (10/5): - Overall great experience. Ice storm came and they did nothing beyond entrance to remove it. It is obvious they have not dealt with ice often and not really something I hold against them.
- Debbie (8/5): - I really wanted to use the tub for a bath. But, no stopper. I was able to use something to fill the tub, but there was only a wall, no place to make my head comfy. That would be my only dislike. I was comfortable sleeping, it was quiet (I do wear earplugs), however, no alarm clock. The staff was friendly. Room was clean. Thank you to all.
- David (2/5): - The thermostat was hanging off the wall. The bathroom sink drain leaked on the floor. Hair in the shower, hair in the bathroom sink. The windows and mirrors has fingerprints all over them. I understand its a cheap room but come on its completely unacceptable. I feel dirty after I left. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
- Deborah (8/5): - Great and affordable. It’s perfect if you’re heading north on the I5 since you’re mostly past the traffic bottleneck.
Industrial area near the Amazon delivery warehouses. it’s got its share of dumped trash on surrounding streets. Dog friendly with a small grassy area for pups to wandering and do their business. However, owners don’t seem to care to pick up after their pooches even with the supplied bag station, so there are quite a few mines all over. We ended up walking over to the depots so as not to step in anything.
Would stay again if the prices stay on the low side.
- Joyce Marie (8/5): - The staff were very helpful answering all my questions, giving advice and directions. I really liked the having the washer and dryer available. The quality of the free morning coffee was good. The rooms were pretty basic, but the TV screen was nice and clear. The wood floors were cold, some rugs would have been good and using dryer sheets or fabric softener would make the towels softer. It was pretty close to the airport in an industrial area. The people at the front desk were particularly helpful and knowledgeable.
- Michelle (10/5): - victoria at the front was great
- Bimbo (10/5): - Better than any other motel 6 I’ve been to
- nicole (10/5): - Good staff
- Srinivas (8/5): - Stay is good
- Julie (6/5): - The man that was working when we checked in was very attentive, kind, and organized. We enjoyed our stay except when we checked out.
- Jasmine (10/5): - Pet area was decent size
- Kris (8/5): - The staff was really nice
- Michael (10/5): - The front desk staff was very good and were welcoming, the room was clean and quiet, and checkin/checkout was fast and efficient. The only downside was the area that the motel was located. There were homeless encampments located nearby. While I wasn’t particularly concerned, I would understand why some folks might be unsure of the location.
- Alicha (2/5): - Front desk gal was very nice and let me check in early. After I checked and I went to my room just to use the restroom quickly before heading to Eugene for the day. Immediately I noticed how dirty the room and the hallways were. My bathroom was especially dirty. It felt like I was using a gas station bathroom. The top of the toilet was even cracked, there was hair and dirt on the floor. The comforter on the bed had visible stains. Homeless loitering around the parking lot. I thought about this room all day and decided not to even stay the night. I turned around after my day in Eugene and drove 8 hours straight back home to Idaho.
- Jamie (8/5): - It was near the event we were going to .
- OWENS (10/5): - Victoria was very courteous and helpful.
- Rebekah (10/5): Friendly and clean enough - Service was fantastic; everyone was very friendly. Victoria was very welcoming and made us feel right at home. The room was very clean, comfortable, and spacious. Laundry facilities were clean and easy to use. Hallways and elevators were less clean, but not bad, and frankly the room/bathroom and washer/dryer were most important on our list.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great experience - One of the best motel 6i have stayed. This one is an actual hotel with hallways connecting the rooms. It was clean and in good condition and the ac worked great. It's located by the highway so it was easy to get around by car.
